• Jackson (10/5): 4 night stay midweek - Everything, we were greeted at the arranged time and everything was explained to us regarding location of utilities, and a tour. The local area was explained and a 1 minute walk to private, gated, secure parking allocation. The house was clean, and the beds were some of the most comfortable I've slept in away from home. Everything was available for cooking. I would highly recommend De Nachtwaker and most certainly return in the future. Nothing

• Fabienne (9/5): Confort et convivialité - La maison est très bien équipée et d’une propreté irréprochable . Les lits sont faits à l’arrivée et il y a des serviettes à disposition. La cour est un plus par beau temps. La situation pour visiter Ypres et les environs est impeccable .

Overall we were very happy , just to be helpful we noted the following : No radiator in one bedroom . No lock on shared bathroom door & shower base very slippery ( for those who have limited mobility ) , bathroom sink very slow to drain . Bath Towels a little on the small side .

• Karen (9/5): Clean, spacious, well kitted out and comfortable accommodation in a fantastic location in Leper/Ypres!! - American AND English Family of 5 staying for 2 nights in July. Worked out wonderfully as a meeting point. 3 bathrooms, 2 en-suite, which was great. The upper bedrooms share a beautiful bathroom. Spacious home with high ceilings and a huge outdoor area. Modern fixtures and fittings. Comfortable living area and bar. Location is PERFECT. Parking - earlier show up is better but there are 3 reasonable options for free on the street, in the owners secure parking area or low cost within a few minutes. Comfortable bed and great shower. Well stocked kitchen. Host was clear and kind. 100% would stay again. Thank you. Really nothing. Just what we needed.

• Carney (10/5): De Nachtwaker is a lovely, spacious property that was more than suitable for our short work visit. - The size of the property was much bigger than I expected. Coffee and coffee machine were very welcome. Ambience and furnishings were tasteful and covered almost everything you could want. Car parking was very useful. The hosts were responsive, friendly and helpful. It would have been useful to have an iron and ironing board.
• Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - A great central location a few minutes walk to the Menin Gate Memorial. There are loads of cafes, restaurants and bars. The city is full of history. The hosts were lovely. The house was great. Very spacious house which was well equipped with a lovely outdoor area as well. Occasional road noise

Very helpful and accommodating as we were a group of six with two cars and four bikes with us. Nothing. Property was great. Only one comment / no bin bags and no instructions to what to do with waste. We did the best we could and condensed it but in the end had to leave it in the back garden boxed up.

• Kym (10/5): Absolute Gem!! - What did we like...EVERYTHING! Honestly, we could not have found a nicer place to stay while we were in Ypres. The location is a 5-minute walk to the square, with bars along the way. There is a spar shop in a parallel street, and literally everything you need is at your fingertips. The house had everything you needed and was warm, comfy, and clean. The bedrooms were individually decorated and were all superb. The 2 downstairs have their own ensuite, and there is a large bathroom upstairs for the remaining 2 bedrooms. The whole place felt like a home from home. Comfy lounge (with comfy chairs and sofas) and 2 dining areas, along with a stocked (well less stocked after we left) bar with an honesty box (we were honest!) It was faultless. There was a hot tub and sauna that weren't available to use (maybe next time) but did not detract from the stay. It's a perfect place to book! Katrien was super welcoming and accommodating, and we can't thank you enough for putting this gem out for renting - its an amazing place and it will be recommended to friends/family and when we return, I will look to book again. Thank you so much!
• Roberta (9/5): A very comfortable house, a short walk from the market square and the Menen Gate. - Perfect location, close to the center of town, but on a quiet street. Free parking was provided just down the street. The kitchen was very well-equipped. There is plenty of space: two bedrooms with ensuite baths on the ground floor, and two large bedrooms upstairs that share a bath; large kitchen and dining room downstairs, and a nice bar and living room upstairs. The private patio in the back is a great addition, and we were able to enjoy it for all but the one rainy day of our stay. The owner responded promptly to our emails when we had questions about the house and neighborhood. Larger groups should note that the owner could only supply three keys. We four adults had to enter into complicated negotiations when all four of us wanted to go out to separate activities (as in, who's going to get back in time to let in the one who doesn't have a key?). This is the only reason I gave a score of 9 instead of 10.

• Alexander (10/5): A great house, highly recommended - De Nachtwaker is in a great location right in the centre of town, and is spacious, clean and well appointed. We were travelling with bikes and the friendly hosts Geert & Katrien made arrangements for us to store these in the garage which was appreciated. There was even a selection of local beers available to purchase at a very reasonable price which was a nice touch

• Alan (8/5): Great stay in Ypres at De Nachtwaker - spacious accommodation pretty close to the city centre modern decor and fittings kettle in kitchen very cheap model and too small for 6-8 guests lack of enough large towels
• Garry (10/5): Very enjoyable stay in well equipped, spacious and classy accommodation. - We loved everything about this place. Large comfortable rooms. Excellent shower rooms. Really nice open courtyard terrace. Modern well equipped kitchen. Good location. Short walk to town centre but nice and quiet at night. The owner was very helpful and even moved her car from the garage to let us store our bikes. The only minor suggestion for improvement is to use the empty cupboards in the kitchen to store mugs, plates etc. This would avoid having to go to the dining room to get them for tea, coffee, meals etc.
