Guest Reviews

- John (9/5): Beautiful cottage with amazing mountain views. - Beautiful cottage not far from the city, very peaceful area with a river running beside the place, easy walk to the local Spar for grocery shopping, great garden and terrace area, amazing views of the mountains. Pretty much nothing not to like, perhaps might be a bit cold in winter but we stayed in September.
- Nicole (9/5): - Ruhige Lage
Stadtzentrum fussläufig erreichber
Gemütlich eingerichtetes Haus
Schöner Garten
- Elisabeth (9/5): Sehr empfehlenswert! - Alles war sehr gut Nichts
- Ferenc (9/5): Perfect place for bike tourists, some more information, some maintenance and some cleaning missing - Small cottage perfect for 3 people or a family up to 5 people. The place is perfect next to the Drau/Drava. The train track is behind the garden but with closed window it was not noisy. The city center is close and safe by bike. Drutalradweg the Drau bike path is 15 m from the house so ot is a perfect place for bike tours We called them an hour earlier but they did not informed us that the keys are in the city center office. When we arrived to the house a the key pickup information was on the door. It took other 40 minutes to collect the keys. Multiple furnitures are broken: Armchairs arm is broken, kitchen cuttlery drawer is broken. The couch in the dining room was full of animal fur .
- Gašper (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (9/5): Superb - Nice place if you travel with dog - big yard with fence around Pellet stove doesn't effectively heat 4 rooms and kitchen space on two levels. Additional electric heaters help, but it takes time
- Mieke (6/5): Wonderful outside, disappointing inside - Because of the nice weather, we had a wonderful stay, which we spent mainly outside in the garden. The fenced garden is absolutely wonderful. Especially for a dog or small children, since they can wander freely. If you have nice weather, you have many places to sit in the sun or in the shadow. The chairs however are not very comfortable, more on that later.
The view is stunning; you are surrounded by beautiful mountains.
The matrasses are okay. For us, regular sized Dutch people (1.78 - 1.94m) however, the beds are too short and so are the blankets.
Towels are available plenty, so no need to bring your own.
The WiFi is good and steady. - A big issue that should be mentioned is the train track right behind the garden. A few times per hour there is train running past, some very noisy, some less. Luckily there aren’t any trains during the night.
- Like mentioned before the garden chairs are uncomfortable, the cushions very old, dirty and torn and some chairs are partly broken.
- The house holds five people, lucky for us we were with four, because many things came in sets less than five, for instance: cushions for the outside chairs, teaspoons, beer glasses, dessert bowls.
- We knew from the pictures that the house was a bit old fashioned and that was fine with us. But this house lacks proper maintenance and proper cleaning; there are spiderwebs and dust everywhere and some of the kitchenware was dirty. The kitchen is very outdated and has several faulty drawers and cabinets. The refrigerator is small. The living room has a hard and uncomfortable table bench and one wobbly chair. Not very nice to spend a relaxing evening on.
- Furthermore it’s good to mention that the second bedroom (with the two single beds) is only accessible through the master bedroom.
- The curtains in the master bedroom are not dark enough keep the sunlight out.
- The bathroom is small, has a half open electricity box in the wall and there is some mold between the tiles.
- A thing we missed in the house is a laundry machine and a second toilet.
All and all, the price they ask for this house is quite steep for what you’re getting. Some of that money could be used to upgrade this property.
- Ferenc (10/5): Lovley place to stay - Very nice house at a nice quiet place. The owner of the house is very kind and friendly, we enjoyed our stay and going to return next time We liked everything
- Jill (8/5): Very good -
- Vikki.gre (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (8/5): Lienz is great for exploring the Dolomites. - Excellent location. Easy walk into town. A washing machine would be welcome. The downstairs bathroom would not be ideal for some.
- Petra (7/5): Good - Location, family vibe, decor. It was super cold, the house wasn’t heated before our arrival and it took hours before it reached normal temperature.
- Debojit (9/5): nice location. asking to collect keys from a different location (about 2km apart) is not a good idea. also keys need to - location , location, location check out time is unreasonable. everywhere in Austria it’s 11am, but here it’s 8 to 10am. appears to have been set as per owners whims and fancy
- Richard (8/5): Nice place to stay - could have stayed longer! - Nice quiet location. Lovely traditional style cottage. Very cosy. The walk from the station and town centre is quite manageable, under 25 minutes. Best to TELEPHONE to arrange keys, as the office deals with many other properties. However, our hosts were very helpful and accommodating when we phoned.
- Junyong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irit (1/5): Terrible hospitality. - we were a few minutes late to the check in (which is not at the location of the property), and the receptionist refused to check us in and refused to give us a refund. this resulted in us being stuck that night looking for a new property to stay in after pleading with her to let us check in and that we would pick up the key from wherever needed. terrible hospitality, inhumane and absolutely disappointing.
- Charles (9/5): Good. Very friendly and helpful welcome - Lovely location next to a river with views up to a mountain. it was comfortable and clean but slightly old fashioned
