- Richard Giroud (10/5): We had a lovely time and are very happy. - We had a lovely relaxing time. Very comfortable and the electric blanket was a delight on a very comfortable bed.
We arrived later than we expected and the host was very accommodating and helpful with directions and making gathering the key very easy.
- Karen (9/5): Great - Very good. Home made bread and cereal supplied. Nothing
- Christine (10/5): - A lovely quiet setting, our hosts provided us with all we needed for breakfast, and the chocolates were a lovely treat. Fabulously comfortable bed, everthing for a delightful stay. We hope to come back again.
- Yvonne (10/5): We had a wonderful time . - The studio was spacious and inviting in a beautiful location with wonderful views . The king bed was warm and comfotable. We loved the breakfast bread and cereals, lovely tea selection and tea pot as well as coffee options. The port and chocolates was a nice touch for after dinner. Our host David made himself known to us the morning after we arrived and we had a good chat. We enjoyed sitting outside and seeing the wildlife and night sky when the sun set. Would thoroughly recommend Cherryview to anyone looking for a short break. We could not find fault at all.
- Roslyn (8/5): - Spectacular view; tranquility; nature and wildlife
- Turbocharger300 (10/5): - Wallabies and the Kookaburra, scenery, sunset and view from our accommodation.
- Peter (9/5): Tranquil atmosphere with beautiful, natural surrounds. - A comfy retreat with beautiful views. The bed was very comfortable & continental breakfast a bonus. We self catered so the convection oven, cook tops & micro were just what we needed. Even though it was a bit windy & rainy we enjoyed the tranquility & restful atmosphere. Coming from Brisbane we were relieved to have a heater that kept the room cosy & comfortable. Thanks to the owners for setting us up for a memorable stay. Only the constant changing weather which we were aware of.
- Alan (10/5): very good - location ..Host supplied breakfast food The cold weather
- Schuiringa (9/5): Wonderful. - Plenty of choice.for.breakfast. We did not expect.breakfast.provisions to be provided.so very pleasant surprise.
Location- Superb!. Nothing.
- Keren (10/5): - The quiet. Viewing wild animals at dusk and dawn. Warm hous. Bread was great The shower head was old and with the water being on a pump, the water pressure was weak and at times not that warm.
- John (7/5): Pleasant unit, ideal for anyone without mobility issues - Beautiful setting good bed, good little kitchen, good view, nice and private, quiet My mobility limitations made bathroom a bit challenging, very low toilet, glass hand basin on light frame, glass shower wall just mounted on wall and floor. Good access to walk in shower, I used my shower stool, but would have appreciated some disability style grab rails
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Kathryn (9/5): Superb - A peaceful getaway with wonderful views! Thoughtful hosts left us a breaky pack with fresh bread and condiments and complimentary port to sip while watching the adorable wildlife come in a dusk to nibble the grass. Highly recommend Cherryview.
- Neil (10/5): Very quiet, peaceful, lot of wild life, magnificent views, could not fault the accomodation at all. -
- Vicki (8/5): Very good - The ambience was superb. Very spacious room .Huge bathroom .Outside seating in a wonderful location with a lovely outlook . Bed was way too soft ,so sleeping was difficult. Shower head was dismal .
- Lbajurny (10/5): Cozy stay in the hills - Charming and peaceful stay with gorgeous views. Perfect for a romantic trip away with your special person!
We felt very much at home, and our considerate hosts made everything easy and comfortable. The heated blankets made for a very cozy weekend even in mid-winter.
Animal lovers will appreciate the drive in, and you're sure to spot pademelons at dusk - we even saw a quoll!
- Niels (9/5): Loved our two night stay. An excellent base for exploring beautiful Cygnet. Thoroughly recommend Cherryview. - Beautiful peaceful location. Privacy. Sun filled and spacious room. Loads of character. Thoughtful provision of extras, from breakfast makings to books and dvds. Great heating. Comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom. We would have appreciated a couple of small side tables to place our drinks on when we were sitting on the very comfortable couch watching Fargo!
The mattress was fantastic, but the bedding is old-fashioned. Heavy and not very warm. A down duvet would be lighter, warmer and more attractive.
- Charles (9/5): Superb - The free breakfast, complimentary port, the many original paintings hanging on the walls The smallish bar fridge?
- Helen (7/5): Good -
- Lyall (9/5): Superb - For my purposes, the location was just right. Beautiful outlook was a bonus.
- Monique (10/5): We enjoyed a lovely 3 days - Everything! The beautiful view and sunset, the visiting quoll at night!
The king sized bed was very comfortable with great pillows! Kitchen well equipped and lots of special little treats and breakfast goodies. Thx for the homemade jam, yum.
Very much an attention to detail little place. Highly recommended. Nothing except we had to leave 😟
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (10/5): Spectacular location with wildlife, tranquility and such a peaceful place. Definitely worth another visit - Beautiful tranquil location with a gorgeous cottage with everything you need. The wildlife was amazing and the extra goodies supplied by David was a lovely touch. Nothing
- Adrian (9/5): Peaceful - The place was easily accessible - I have mobility issues so this was a major reason I chose the property - in a beautiful quiet location with views and nice bushland behind. Nicely appointed inside. Breakfast materials were provided including a full loaf of bread, though catering to mainstream tastes (which mine are not). Given that the ease of accessibility of the property it would have been nice if there was a shower seat provided to cater for the disabled (I forgot to bring mine) and a European (flexible) shower head would be easy to fit.
- Fraenzi (10/5): Exceptional - A very spacious little cottage, comfy big bed, great small kitchen, nice bathroom, very friendly hosts and generous breakfast provisions. Very private and great views, and a carport for a small to medium car. There is a BBQ, too. We also enjoyed all the wildlife, wallabies and pademelons on the lawn, and frogs calling from a pond, lovely.
- Huw (8/5): Very good -
- Chiranjivi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henk (9/5): Lovely studio with great views, great location and lovely extras on arrival . - Private, comfortable, breakfast provisions, chocolates and port + the fact you could purchase windy/ beer available in the studio. It could be a bit cleaner.
- Peter (9/5): Great rural location and well presented and provisioned. - Good heating and good help from owner. One possum seen but would have loved to see more animals. Great location - close to cygnet. The kitchen was very compact. No mirrors other than bathroom.
- Doug (10/5): Beautiful and clean place. Close to town and Huonville - Clean
Views
Peaceful
Breakfast provisions and complimentary port
Hosts went above and beyond.
Great Communication.
- Dorothy (9/5): Lovely relaxing stay. - Everything provided was very thoughtful, the hosts really took the trouble to understand what would make the stay comfortable. A couple of small side tables to put drinks etc on if you didn't want to sit at the dining table would have been great.
- Barbara (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Sheila (9/5): The accommodation was absolutely perfect, in a b3autiful setting with a magnificent view and heaps o - The location was great. With easy access to the south of Hobart. A great variety of foods for breakfast but if you wished to buy and cook your meals all the utensils were there Nothing
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Guy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (10/5): We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. - We loved the quiet location , the extra treats were a surprise, the way the studio was decorated and art on the walls added to its character. There was an abundance of wildlife which was extra special. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Nothing
- Noel (10/5): Great place to stay. - The place was well presented. Previous guests hid dirty dishes under clean ones in the cupboard. Otherwise, place was very clean. Extras provided, like chocolates, port, breakfast essentials were great. Outlook was amazing. Animals at night were a bonus. Didn't meet the owners but they were handy if anything was needed. There was nothing to dislike about this place.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): A perfect property in the best location - the property was set on a beautiful hill, was totally private but only a few minutes away from Cygnet. lots of wildlife - paddy melons and quolls. stunning no dislikes at all
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - Liked everything about it
All of the extras and location made it one of the best places we have had the pleasure to stay at. Couldn't fault anything.
- Ian (10/5): Stunning Views at Wonderful Country Retreat - Everything: location excellent for a wonderful retreat away from traffic and towns with a view to kill for. Facilities excellent, bed comfortable and spotlessly clean. Many wildlife friends to keep you company. Nothing.
- Katharine (9/5): Delightful! …and the robin red breast that was sitting on a fence post when I left made my day. - The accommodation was lovely. Well maintained, fabulous bed with crisp white sheets, plenty of towels, nice breakfast selection, cooking facilities were good, delicious local apple juice and wifi easily accessed. The drive up the hill from the highway was delightful, and the views from the cabin just beautiful. Returning home late one evening I counted 10 wallabies and four possums up the driveway. I was visiting a friend 5 minutes away, but Cherryview would be very central for many day trips in the area. I will be returning. Thank you David and Caroline.
