Guest Reviews
- Ma. (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cassie (10/5): Loved this stay! We walked everywhere - Spacious beautiful home
- Rachel (10/5): A cute and quaint home away from home - The house had great character and charm. The hosts were lovely and responded to messages promptly and were very accommodating. We had a great stay at this property. This property is not in the CBD and does require a bit of a walk to get in. We always felt safe walking though and even though Hobart is quite hilly, the walk to and from the centre was relatively flat in comparison.
- Richard (7/5): Good - No parking for a medium size car unless you were prepared to shift otherwise risk a ticket ( weekdays only
- Grace (10/5): A gorgeous, well located property in a great location - perfect for couples or families - Gorgeous property, well appointed, with lots of little extras that make your stay more comfortable (for example: 2 keys for more flexible movement, comfortable beds, games and books, basic kitchen supplies, electric blankets for cold nights, laundry facilities, a small garden, single car garage (we managed to park a small SUV in there). N/A
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location and outstanding hosts.
- Jenny (10/5): Seriously, the best "non hotel" accommodation we've stayed in. - Coming down to Tassie from hot, North Queensland we fell in love with the cottage from the outside at first glance. Then we stepped inside to find it's glamour and comfort. Everything has been thought of, with all the creature comforts. The linen was superb, the bath products were lovely and every kitchen utensil was at your fingertips. Our 2 teenage girls loved it also, plenty of space for us all to spread out. We even had a tip to go and check out the magical Christmas light display in Molle St. Leaving. We wanted to stay longer but we had to move on to our next part of Tassie.
- Colin (10/5): Great house with lots of space - Great property that had everything we needed. Lots of room for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and were sorry to leave. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again! Outside area wasn’t that inviting to use.
- Siti (8/5): Very good -
- Antanasv (10/5): Exceptional - Felt just like at home. Seamless checkin, perfect house for a family.
Special thanks for the sharp knives :) Nothing
- Stefan (9/5): beatiful retreat - It was our final place to stay for our two-week trip. Great location within walking distance of the town and nearby restaurants. Nice to spend 2 nights in this lovely retreat! We all loved it. The garage is too small for an SUV, but parking along the roadside is no issue as long it is a weekend!
- Joel (9/5): Superb - Nice character home in central location good for family stay.
- Ac77 (10/5): Perfect place! - Amazing place to stay! Beautiful, comfortable and impeccably clean!
- Maria (9/5): Just what we needed. - Dean & Alice are excellent hosts and keen on details - they sent a guide before our arrival with all the information you might need before / during your stay.
It is a comfortable quaint little house equipped with about anything you might need - the Nespresso machine and pods were particularly appreciated. We enjoyed the sunroom in the morning and the electric blanket at night.
The bathroom soap/shampoo were also nice. The bathroom door is cute but you can see right through it so it isn’t private or funcitonal - a little screen behind the glass might do the job. It would also be nice to have a few more wall hooks to hang the towels.
- Tracy (10/5): Will definitely book this accommodation if we are visiting Hobart again. - The location is extremely convenient to eatery places at night. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Able to do laundry at own timing. In-house WIFI is fast. Not applicable
- Mei-ju (10/5): Exceptional - Super excellent experience
- Rhonda (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent accommodation. We arrived at 8 and were so grateful there was everything we needed for a coffee!!! Easy pizza delivery. The house was cosy and clean.
- Hastings (8/5): Great stay. - Nice and roomy. A great coffee machine. Clean. A bit cold on the feet in the hall, bedrooms and dining. Could do with some more rugs. The outside areas could do with a bit of maintenance.
- Heidi (8/5): Conveient location with all the supplies you may or may not have thought about you need - Convenient location. Comfortable bed with heater and heated blanket in bedrooms. Clean and well maintain interior. Modern bathroom with all you needed, toiletries, hairdryer and heating. Slightly older property with a small garage that only just fitted the SUV. Not the easiest to get out or unload after parking. Not very sound-proof within the house but neighbours are pretty good.
- Varvara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kishok (9/5): Superb -
- Xin (10/5): Exceptional - Get everything you need to stay for family.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and spacious, very well appointed.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Great place to stay - Great house with everything I needed. The garage is small, but I had no trouble because my car is a mini, just for other travellers to keep that in mind.
- Bec (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - What a gorgeous little house in a great location minutes from loads of excellent restaurants and a short walk into Hobart CBD or Salamanca. Beautiful presented and well equipped, we had a cozy weekend stay.
We walked to the pier and took a free ferry to the football and a free bus on the way back. In fact, we didn't get back in our cars from the time we arrived until
the time we left.
Be sure to visit the Noodle House for their Char Kway Teow! As I was travelling with my 2 brothers and 2 kids, 3 double beds didn't give much flexibility. We managed of course, but some sort of single bed is always appreciated.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (7/5): A lovely stay and home from home. Nice area, amazing hidden coffee shop nearby (Zimmah). - Lovely house, comfy beds, electric blankets, coffee machine. Was chilly on arrival, heating took a while to heat up the house.
- Kati (10/5): Thank you for the stay, it was central and a nice way to end our trip. House was lovely. -
- Alex (9/5): Lovely clean and comfortable home. Would recommend. - Great location. Clean. Lovely electric blankets. Owners responsive when contacted. Overall great play to stay. We stayed in winter and despite the heating being on the house was cold with draughts coming in under doors. Need curtains on all windows in lounge. Back yard/garden could do with prettying up.
- Leigh (10/5): Home away from home - Location and awesome house Nothing it ticked all the boxes
- Fran (10/5): Awesome location and so comfortable. - Dean and Alice were so welcoming and easily contactable. The house was comfortable and well appointed. It was in a great position for walking to restaurants and breweries, as well down to the dock. Nothing to write here.
- Alicia (9/5): Comfortable home for groups - Great house for families - lots of space, comfy beds and excellent location with a playground down the road. Hosts were lovely and it was good value for a group of people having a holiday together.
- Hiroshi (10/5): This was a homely stay super clean with everything we need in a great location -
- Phoebe (10/5): Beautiful - Cozy, very clean, makes us feel like home. Generous coffee and tea supplies. Kids loved the board games!
- Peisi (10/5): High cost performance, Perfect! - The landlord is friendly and responsive. The location is very good. Home is very cozy and comfortable. It's the perfect choice in Hobart!
- Nadia (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Our go-to in Hobart - 2nd stay here. Awesome house
- Matthew (9/5): Loved it, gorgeous period home, just perfect. - Gorgeous home, we loved the old world charm and character of the home. The Nespresso machine was fantastic along with plenty of crockery, glassware etc and little nice touches by the property. Loved the fresh linen and a bottle of milk in the fridge. The sunroom was just perfect to sit and relax, we all loved it so much! Slightly too far to walk easily to the supermarket, cafes and shopping (more due to steep hills) just that little bit too far at times but I’d stay there again cos it’s special.
- Elaine (8/5): Comfortable stay in North Hobart - Central location easy to access most areas of Hobart.
Quiet comfortable house.
Shower room is great addition. Front steps need careful negotiation particularly at night.
- Leo (9/5): Superb - Really nice and spacious place. Good bathroom, kitchen and outside bbq. Good info from hosts and easy to contact Bed was a little bit too short (for large people). Outside needs some TLC and garage is quit small
- Emma (8/5): Very good - They provided all you needed and more. The bathroom and the coffee were good.
And the location is excellent for dining options and enjoyable stroll to town.
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
- Sheryl (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Beautiful house close to city centre
- Debra (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (8/5): A good place to stay within reasonable walking distance of most attractions - Comfortable house in a good location As the property has no dishwasher the crockery and cutlery is cleaned by the previous tenants. I suggest the owners check how clean they are as we had to wash everything before using any cutlery or crockery or glassware due to food scraps lipstick on glasses and greasy plates.
Our car was too big to fit in the garage maybe include the information that small cars only. Street parking was fine so no issue.
- Sophie (10/5): A really enjoyable stay - Lovely place in a great location.
Hosts very helpful.
- Renae (10/5): Warwick St retreat is a gem. It had all the facilities we needed in a great location. A cup of tea and a chat in the sun - The house was clean and very comfortable and a great location to walk either to waterfront or restaurants in north Hobart.
We also had a visiting pademelon in the backyard that we could watch from kitchen window. Not a didn’t like but more of a suggestion to put a mirror in each bedroom as two rooms had to rely on bathroom mirror.
- Corinne (10/5): Exceptional - The whole house made you feel very at home That we had to leave after our holiday was over
- Malcolm (8/5): Comfortable 3 bedroom home with lovely sunroom. - Old house tastefully renovated. Particularly liked the sunroom. Easy drive to Hobart cbd. Good communication with host. Slippery tiles in the shower. The backyard area needs work.
Needed to drive to cbd as situated on steep hill.
- Dianne (10/5): Nice cottage with good facilities close to the city. - Plenty of room, big TV, good internet, off-street parking (very tight, you wouldn't fit a larger car), good heating and facilities.
- David (9/5): Great location and a lovely old cottage - Very pleasant and comfortable, very good fit-out, close to city Nothing really. We had to use on- street parking by for the second car and there were restrictions around the area (solved that ok).
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (10/5): Excellent Accommodation - Bright and very comfortable family home walking distance to all that Hobart has to offer. Nothing the property was perfect
- Khyber (10/5): Exceptional - It was well set up, clean, and spacious. Everything worked well. Great place to stay.
- Ralph (9/5): Enjoyed Warwick street completely little things like clothes dryer, fixing kitchen cupboard hinges and range extractor w - Location was great as was parking Clothes dryer would be nice as weather can be unpredictable
- Valerie (10/5): Fantastic house! - The house was very cute, warm and comfortable, very nice bathroom and shower. It is in a very nice neighbourhood, great location, love our stay!!
- Sean (9/5): Superb - House was well set up everything you needed for a great stay The only thing I could dislike is the front steps…
They are in poor condition and with no handrails could potentially be dangerous…
- Katherine (10/5): Loved it - Beautiful house, perfect place to unwind. Loved watching the storms roll on from the sun room! Unfortunately our car did not fit in the garage, had to keep an eye on rhs padking
- Cheryl (9/5): Great location, very comfortable. - Clean and comfortable. Great location. Loved the period features.
Good communication with Dean.
- Karen (10/5): Fantastic! Just loved our stay here! - The charm of the house and location was perfect for our plans. Close to resturants supermarkets and central Hobart. The house was equipped with all we needed and warm and cosy. It’s a beautiful home. SUV wouldn’t fit in garage. Street parking a bit limited on weekdays.
- Andrew (10/5): Wil be our new go-to place to stay when in Hobart - Awesome house. Great location & well kitted-out.
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (9/5): A great place to stay in Hobart. It is quiet and reasonably priced - Comfortable beds, plenty of heating options, great coffee machine and nice sitting areas A dishwasher would be handy and if travelling with more than one car, or a larger vehicle, you need to park a short distance away as a 2 hour limit outside the home applies during the day
- Samios (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (10/5): An amazing experience and loved every part of Hobart ! Exceeded our expectations tenfold ! - Location was perfect. House was charming. Extremely clean. Great size rooms. The perfect homey place for us to stay for our family holiday and first time in Hobart. Instructions were very easy to follow. LOVED HOBART !! Will definitely be back and would definitely stay here again !! Thanks so much for your hospitality x I know this is something that cannot be fixed, but ....... the off-road car parking space is very small (this is mentioned in the information when booking so we were aware). We hired a car for the week, an Isuzu SUV. We needed this size due to the four of us, plus all of our luggage. We could not park it in the car parking space as it did not fit, so we had to park in the street, which is fine, but there is a parking limit in the street. Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, there is a 2 hr limit. We had to be very careful that if we were at the house during these times, we didn't exceed the limit to avoid the risk of getting a ticket. There was also a lot of times when other cars were parked out the front of the house (alot of cars park in the street) so we had to park a house or two down. But this is a small thing that didn't affect the quality of our stay.
- Pip (8/5): Older style character house but comfortable - Hosts are very organised and responsive. Comfortable home within reasonable walking distance (30 mins) of Hobart City. Tiny issue that garage is not suitable for larger vehicles. We were forewarned about this by our hosts and were able to work around the street parking restrictions no problems.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable warm and well stocked with the basics that we needed. Beautiful residence.
- Anonymous (9/5): Enjoyed it. Lovely cosy feel. - Mostly everything. Steps at front didn’t have handrail and had to enter through garage at side as I have knee injury.
Internal doors didn’t close properly.
- Hongmiao (9/5): Big and comfortable hous - A very big house with 3 rooms. We 3 people can live seperately and comfortably. House is a little old but furniture are very good. Address are easy to find. The garage can only park little car. Since we drive SUV, we can only part on street which are free from 6PM to 8AM on the next day.
- Zakk (9/5): Superb - The quaintness, sunroom was lovely. Location was very good. Heating was good. Would recommend to stay there for a hobart trip. Size of the house and bedrooms were also nice. Safety of front steps, no handrails. Steps were also unstable, had a mobility impaired person with us who was forced to used the back door to enter the house as the steps weren't safe enough. The shower was great, but the drainage was poor and dangerous. Too many puddles and was very slippery, especially for our mobility impaired guest. A few door handles were also loose, and a couple doors didn't shut.
- Simpson (10/5): A solid performer very close to city. - Oldish house but we'll kept with new bathroom.big rooms. Had everything you need to cook as well. Pay TV and even games. Heating was solid! It was perfect. Nothing. It was great!
- Rebecca (10/5): Great house, with everything you need close to town. - Lovely house, walking distance to town.
- Rex (9/5): Excellent -
- Kath (9/5): Superb - Great place to stay. Had everything you needed and more. Coffee machine made the best coffee and was a terrific way to start the day. Dean was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. Something to note the carpark/garage can only fit a small car.
- Kristina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victor (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): Better than expected - Spotless, spacious and very comfortable. Real kitchen with all requirements for cooking.
- Christine (7/5): Good value for money! - Spacious and nice interior, kitchen is well equipped, lovely and homey. i love the boardgames and books they provided! hosts were responsive, and handy website for all the information acoustic can be improved, try to close doors slowly but it just make loud noises, poor insulation between rooms. also same as all the other comments that the garage is rather small, and the ramp at the entrance isnt flat that the car has to keep more to the right to avoid scratching its bottom.
- James (10/5): Very comfortable in a great location - Nice and open, good amenities, comfortable beds, good location, lots of heating options. Can't think of anything
- Meijiang (10/5): Super clean and cozy. Perfect location. - The location is perfect. It’s 15min walk to the pier, while it offers quietness. The house is very very cozy and clean. Linens provided are crispy and fresh. The carport is a bit small for my SUV. However, there are a lot of free street parking available. Nothing really. This place is definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed at.
- Giancarlo (8/5): Very good - Garage parking is small as our car just fit inside as we could not park on the street due to limit 2hr parking limit, maybe supply parking voucher or exemption to park on the road as other residence do.
- Lyn (8/5): Very happy with accommodation apart from poor state of front steps - Very comfortable and well-equipped. Our small SUV fitted in garage which was a bonus. Initial impression not good, cracked steps with no handrail, and half-overgrown.
- Alan (9/5): Superb - Light and airy, very comfortable, close to the site centre Parking restricted to small to medium cars
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (9/5): Beautiful old property, really central - Lovely large clean property, well stocked on our arrival and great local shops.
Everything was thought of, from the property information provided via an app well in advance, communication beforehand, even some fresh supplies for the morning.
The layout is amazing, we enjoyed coffee in the sun area in the morning, hot showers in the beautiful large bathroom, dinner at the big dining table, drinks outside in the small garden, lounged in the evening and slept like logs in our comfy beds.
It's about a 15 minute walk to the centre, another 10 to the marina, there's an amazing shop around the corner, so really central.
- Lindy (8/5): A charming house for a family vacation. -
- Jackie (6/5): Ok. I have stayed at similar accommodation for less money here and overseas. - The kitchen facilities were good. The steps out the front are a bit dangerous as they have no support railing up the side. There are steps inside as well and I can’t remember any reference to them in the write up about the accommodation. There were no fly screens on the windows. It was hot in the bedrooms and if you had the window open the mosquitoes came in. The garden needs a bit of love and the kitchen cupboards repairing.
- Hawkins (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Would Stay Again - Highly Recommend for Families with Young Children The Train Park was a 5 Minute Walk and Made a 3.5 Year Olds Holiday Nothing
- Thao (9/5): Superb -
- Huan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prady (9/5): Superb -
- Sanjeev (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb - Walking distance to town centre
Quiet street
Lovely clean house
Host was also great
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Charming property, clean and tidy. Had games and books to read. Loved the sunroom with the view of downtown Hobart. Well equipped kitchen. Heaters were welcomed. No fans in rooms and no screens on windows so couldn’t sleep with window open if it was hot. Carport too small to put 4WD in so had to park on street with timed spaces during the day. Steps up to front door were cracked and uneven.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nathalie (8/5): Clean, comfortable bed and great location. - Location was very central with great restaurants within walking distance. The house was very clean with great amenities and very comfortable bed. nothing to note
- Jesse (10/5): Exceptional -
