Guest Reviews
- Mick (7/5): -
- Jane (10/5): Very comfortable. Lovely view - Nice and cosy. Had everything we needed for our stay.
- Tracey (10/5): Mountains tranquillity - Peaceful mountains cottage in a lovely setting
- Jennifer (8/5): lovely cottage with great views. - Cottage was well equipped and spacious. The view from the windows in main bedroom and living area was very nice with cockatoos returning in the evening. It is possible to walk into Lerua and the cascades from the cottage, it took us about 40 minutes and we called in to the town for lunch on the way back, with some nice places to eat. Leura is close to other attractions in the Blue Mountains.
- Trish (10/5): Perfect for a blissfully relaxing girls weekend. - It is the most lovely cottage. As soon as we walked in, we felt a lovely, welcoming, comforting vibe. Very clean, all the amenities you could possibly want. The owners left helpful information in easy to find places (inside the lid the wood box, inside the pantry door etc)
Three roomy, comfy bedrooms, the master with an ensuite which was a wonderful bonus. Each room had its own little heater, a pedestal fan and the beds all have electric blankets. There was a plethora of extra blankets, towels and linens, so we were very cozy. There is a full laundry.
The view of the back garden is divine! We sat on the couch, just gazing at the misty trees and feathered visitors. Having wine and nibbles by the fireplace was the perfect rainy Saturday night. The owners have provided books and board games and wifi.
The property is very close to the Main Street of Leura, only a 5 minute drive, but it would be a slightly hilly walk, probably about 20 mins or so.
We are already planning to come back again to enjoy it in the summer. Highly recommend for groups and families! We couldn’t fault it, it has everything we needed and was incredibly comfortable.

- Ferguson (10/5): - It was a really great place to stay. The bush is right out the backyard, and wildlife is all around. Close to town, but it feels really remote. Facilities were great, the house was clean, and there were clear instructions on how to use things. We stayed with another family and there was plenty of room. The kitchen is large, and there are all the pots, pans, and utensils you need to cook (we cooked Christmas dinner).
The hosts were amazing, really easy to communicate with, and open to meeting all our needs.
- Graham (10/5): - Clean and tidy
With everything you require Nothing
- Nicole (10/5): Really lovely, very relaxing and as it is spacious, room to spread out and have some alone time. - Very comfortable and had everything we needed plus the bonus of a lovely balcony and garden. Undercover parking, firewood, 2 bathrooms were all pluses. Digging deep for something… no lemon squeezer but everything else, very well stocked kitchen making prep and cooking very easy.
- Dianne (10/5): Wonderful weekend made all the better by a great place to stay. - Very convenient to Blue Mountain activities, attractions, restaurants, shopping. Would be very comfortable for up to 6 people. Beautiful gardens and surroundings. Road in is a bit tricky the first time, but fine once you've gotten to know it.
- Narelle (9/5): - Great location near Leura and easy access to local sights. Cottage was cosy and comfortable with a lovely garden and bush view. Nothing really.
- Katie (8/5): -
- Nicholson (9/5): - Quiet location. Very comfortable with everything thing we needed. Lovely fireplace with wood supplied. No extension cord for the dryer

- Amie (9/5): A lovely peaceful retreat. - Lovely spot, the cottage had everything we needed, the view is so relaxing and we had a lovely family weekend enjoying the fire. Great hosts.
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely cosy cottage - Cosy and comfort
- Cathy (10/5): Exceptional - There was an information book made up with key details and little labels everywhere with useful information. The hosts made sure we felt welcome.
- Lisa (10/5): Definitely be back 😀 - Lovely cosy cottage. Well equipped and very comfortable. Great location.
- Annabelle (7/5): Cute cottage, nice hot showers, a good weekend away - Cute cottage in the mountains. The air con took a long time to warm the living area up.
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- Florija (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location in the beautiful area of Leura. I stayed here for the weekend during the UTMB event! Very convenient location. The cottage had everything, especially for those cold, chilly nights. We really loved the fireplace, and heating in every corner! Having your morning coffee down in the garden or on the porch with the local cockatoos makes this stay extra special Nothing, the cottage had all the essentials and more.
- Holly (7/5): Good -
- Alison (10/5): Everything we could have wished for - A great property tucked away in a quiet part of Leura but 5 mins from Leura Mall. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. A reading light in the lounge
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely property in very quiet location but very handy for Leura town centre (short drive). Great balcony at the back - fabulous for bird life. All good
- Fissioli (10/5): Quiet Retreat near to Leura village - Lovely house with all warmth & charm. Amazing garden views from living area. Everything you need provided. Fire for chilly evenings & a bath tub to soak in after walking. Games & local info provided too. I'd definitely stay again.
- Martin (7/5): Overall good, quiet accommodation. - The key pad needs new batteries. You also need to mention that after inputting the key code you need to quickly turn both door handles to access the property, otherwise it times out very quickly.
- Susan (10/5): Everything about the property met if not exceeded our expectations. - Everythng we could possibly need was provided. There was nothing to dislike.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Bluebell cottage is such a lovely spot- very quiet and it is extremely well equipped. My Mum, Dad and I enjoyed our five nights here-this is our third time of staying here. We all love Leura and this was the first port of call of Mum and Dad‘s overseas trip (from the UK). The hosts are fabulous-excellent communication. Nothing

- Caterina (10/5): We had a fabulous time . Lovely hosts who are very responsive. - Very comfortable. Enjoyed the log fire. Very welcoming and very well equipped.
- Tikellis (8/5): Self contained, need car to visit Leura - Cute self contained cottage, peaceful garden surrounds. Many local native wild birds, owner leaves seed to attract & feed them. Spacious has plenty of room for a family. On site car covered parking. Log fire w wood. Home is very cold, we visited in winter, no central heating even though owners have tried to provide single heaters & blankets. You need a car here, steep walk up hill back to Leura town. Couch in Living room needs updating, old & uncomfortable.
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Natasha (8/5): Blue Mountains Cottage getaway - Wood fire was super cosy with the rainy weather we encountered.
Wood supplied. Thank you :)
The heater blankets to warm the bed.
Beautiful scenic surroundings.
Location was perfect for what we wanted to do.
Bird seed for the wildlife. We enjoyed watching all the birds on the bird feeder.
Board games. Book of things to do. Globes blown on rear verandah.
Be aware of appliances before using them. Some of them had not been used in awhile and needed a good clean eg Coffee plunger and coffee machine.
The bbq had been updated and was a lot smaller than what was shown in photos and changed what we had to prepare.
- Jenny (8/5): cosy house with lovely feel - birds, trees, comfortable bed low supply of toilet paper
- Illuzzi (10/5): Stunning property with everything you would want in the mountains - Great location. Loved the landscape, birds visiting & the cabin . The bed was very uncomfortable had to sleep on the couch

- Emma (10/5): A lovely cottage, close to Leura village - This is our second stay at Bluebell Cottage. It was just as good as our first stay. It is very well equipped and has comfy beds.
Hosts are great too - very responsive.
We hope to be back again.
- Emma (10/5): A really lovely cottage in a quiet location, a short drive from Leura. - We recently had a really lovely four night stay at Bluebell Cottage. My parents arrived from England and this was the perfect place to recover from jet lag. A very peaceful spot only five minutes drive from Leura. The cottage itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed - down to a tub of seeds to feed the prolific bird life. The hosts were very responsive. We will definitely stay here again.
- Wu (8/5): We are all happy with the little cottage. - The house is cozy and suitable for a small group. We saw a kangaroo hopping at the back in one of the mornings.
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Dennis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Margaret (8/5): Very good -
- Solomon (6/5): Pleasant. - Location Lack of a couple of basics like facial tissues and a full length mirror in the master bedroom.
- Alera (9/5): Superb - Location and wood fire
- Alexander (3/5): A lovely place to get your back broken - The cottage is located in a good place and well maintained. The appearance is lovely. While you could see a lot of effort spent around decoration and visual appearance, the place is very poor, though, from a safety perspective. The stairs that led to the main entrance are very dangerous. There was no adequate lighting at night and covered with a slippery gravel. The railings are only on one side of the entrance. I put so much emphasis as my wife got severely ensured when she tried to enter a house in a pitch dark evening. The injure was so bad that we nearly end up in a hospital. Similar situation is on the back yard. Lots of beautifully distributed decoration stones. All shifty and slippery.
The communication with the cottage owner wasn't satisfying too. When I notified about the event a minimal interest was taken in the happening. I advised that the staircase and the lighting are not safe by design and explained the reasons, but there was no adequate response to that.
- Russell (8/5): Perfect relaxing environment - Location Nothing
- Virginia (9/5): Value for money comfortable cottage with everything you need. - Lovely comfortable cottage in a quiet location with a tree filled view from the open plan kitchen/ living room. Large Master bedroom overlooked a charming cold climate garden. Large easy to use television. Well appointed kitchen and very comfy beds. 3 minute drive to all the wonderful Cafes and great shops in Leura Mall.
- Susan (9/5): Comfortable, spacious, older style property. - property was very comfortable, well appointed.. The bedrooms were spacious, bed and bedding very comfortable and warm. we did enjoy the fire in the evenings. lovely back yard with lots of Kookaburras and Cockatoos coming each afternoon. Without the fire in the living room it would have been cold as the AC struggled to heat such a large room.
- Nicole (8/5): Very good -
- Richards (10/5): Mother and daughter weekend in a cosy cottage in Leura, just fabulous. - Very thoughtful host, everything needed was available....Great environment and close to the shops just 5 minute drive.
Lots of small extras and a lot of thought was put in.. Will be gorgeous in summer too. Not much...
- William (8/5): Very good -
- Adam (10/5): we had an amazing 2 night getaway to which the property lived up to its expectation - Such a beautiful little property, our 2 night stay couldn’t of been better…..the host was also very helpful and friendly to deal with we didn’t get to stay longer
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - It was a beautiful place to stay. Very homely, has everything you would need including a nice fireplace to keep warm on a cold night. Would highly recommend staying at Bluebell. Nothing!
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Janette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rick (10/5): A spacious retreat tranquil and comfortable. - Spacious quiet and nestled in a valley with a spring winding through the garden. Filled with wildlife and a real home away from home. Little details counted: bird seed, candles, lush towels, essential supplies in the kitchen and Netflix. The cottage was beautifully clean and totally private. only a few minutes drive from the Leura Mall. Dishwasher was getting to the end of life with drawer stiff and door loose - but it worked fine.
- Cath (9/5): we had a lovely catch up with friends from interstate very convenient to everywhere - it was peaceful with lovely bushy outlook plentiful room and everything you could need nothing
