Guest Reviews
- McGrath (10/5): - Great house, great location. Nothing
- Terra Lea (8/5): - Great location and everything we needed to enjoy our time in Bright. Being able to have a fire in the evening was a highlight. Nothing.
- Stuart (9/5): - Fantastic location, great house and very clean. Beds were a little soft for my own liking.
- Christa (10/5): Fun, the boys loved the top level bedrooms. - The facilities, the location and the quirkiness. The main bed was too soft for our liking.
- Bev (8/5): - House was in a good location, cosy & clean. 2 X flights of steep stairs.not great for seniors.
- penny (8/5): Great stay. Fully equipped. Bedrooms were a bit weird but you get used to it. Hardly any firewood and most of all broken - Very equipped. Had everything we needed. Kitchen ware 2 bathrooms Door slider lock was broken and was not informed. Firewood was only sufficient for 1 burn not for 4 days. We didn’t bother
- Tegan (9/5): -
- Baker (10/5): -
- Megan (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (5/5): Passable -
- Prentice (7/5): Good - Kids loved all the small spaces to explore. The beds were very soft/not supportive, we managed but if you had a bad back it wound be very uncomfortable.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good - The stairs and upstairs flooring was creaky
- Debby (8/5): I think this would be a lovely place for a couple or anyone not needing to access the top floor. If you have mobility is - Position/location of the property was fantastic. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The 3 levels of stairs and lack mof privacy in the bedrooms as you need to go through one bedroom to access the top 2 bedrooms. No toilet on the top level and the stairs were hard to manage if you are aged or have a disability. I didn’t see the part where it said you need to take your own linen and towels, it’s not somewhere I would have booked knowing that we needed to take our own linen and towels.
- Kam (9/5): Good value for money - Good location, well equipped
- Muralikb (9/5): Superb -
- Wei (8/5): It was a nice stay in the house - Convenient location The squeaky floorboards upstairs are quiet annoying
- Tasia (8/5): A homey and quirky house, 20 minutes walk to the Ovens River - Amazing location! Only 20 minutes walk from the famous Ovens river. The surroundings are perfect for family. My kids love the house, and it's quirky design. It feels like home. The aircon in the house is very good to cool down the whole house during hot summer days. The living room area is very homey. Make sure to also bring your own amenities as well, such as soap and toothpaste. Thank you, we sure would like to come back to your house :) The beds feel too soft to sleep in
- Nicole (8/5): accommodation for 3 couples and a child, all around the dinner table and card games in the lounge - The kitchen was very well equipped with appliances, utensils and crockery. Fridge, microwave, oven, dishwasher and bbq were great. Air conditioning was great. Excellent instructions given before and at the property. It was great value.
- Sue (8/5): Very enjoyable family holiday - Family could all be together. Nothing
- Merrie (7/5): Good - Great spot not good for access to bathrooms
- Gerald (9/5): Great place for family, plenty of room, just be careful if you’re above 185cm. - Great location, quite a lot of room, well heated. Strange layout, as a very tall person I had to duck through most of the house
- Elyse (8/5): Stange setup but good for the price - Well appointed kitchen. Great heating options. That one of upstairs bedroom was a shared room with the very top room being part of the second bedroom. No privacy for couples.
There is only 1 queen bed the rest are only doubles. The loft bed was 2 foam mattresses stacked on top of each other. Too uncomfortable for our daughter to use so she had to use the single bed.
Not providing linen for guests is not a good idea. But we do thank the owner for arranging linen for us as we didn't have room to pack linen for 6 people.
Obtaining the keys to get in initially was fine but to have to place a piece of wood in the track of the glass sliding door and then having to go out the back door was a real pain and then having to go all the way around to get back in again. The front door needs to be fixed.
No clothes dryer provided. This was really hard in cold/raining weather with 6 peoples clothes to dry on clothes airers in the lounge room
Maybe have a few sets of IKEA kids plates cups and bowls.
- Kaew (8/5): Very good -
- Zane (10/5): Exceptional - Different layout and cosy -
- Debbie (10/5): relaxing weekend with friends - nice and warm great facilities. nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - A well equipped holiday house. The kitchen had everything that you won't find in most holiday units or houses. The lounge area was cosy with a fireplace, and even the large TV had access to a variety of apps to keep you connected. The heating system was top class. Access through the back of the house only.
- Bishop (9/5): A nice warm place for winter in Bright - An interesting, warm and comfortable place with everything you need for a relaxing stay.
- Dominic (8/5): Very good -
- Soman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alim (10/5): We felt like we were valued by the owner. - The owner is brilliant and thoughtfully arranged the most of the things a family needs. Location and everything inside the property.
- Boz (9/5): Families with young kids- you’ll create lovely memories there! it’s the best hide and seek house. - The kids absolutely love this house- our second stay and it did not disappoint! Shower heads could be tweaked.
- Andrew (9/5): Had a great time - The house had so much character.
- Helen (7/5): Good -
- Sue (8/5): Enjoyable - It suited our needs perfectly for our family
- Timothy (8/5): Would return. Great for a family group to stay. - Quirky interesting holiday house - very unique! As all the reviews say, lots of stairs. There is one bedroom on first floor with an enquite. Then there's 2.5 bedrooms, all interconnected on the upper floors 2 & 3, who may have to go all the way to ground floor to use the common bathroom there. Get fit! Could be a little cleaner - we washed all the dishes before using, but there's a good dishwasher that makes it easy.
- Aj (8/5): Great short stay - Quirky layout and good location Upstairs rooms were warm
- Toni (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (8/5): Lovely, cosy, quirky house & very comfortable. - I think clear advice needs to be included in the property ad that towels & bed linen are not provided so the customer can take this into consideration before booking & payment of deposit.
I found this out when l received the booking confirmation & due to limited space in my vehicle it was something l needed to know prior to booking.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fuller (9/5): Superb - Short walk to town. Cosy n warm loved a fire. Felt like home Nothing
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (9/5): cozy winter stay - great location (walking distance to town); very clean; has a fully equipped kitchen; lots of wood for the fireplace to heat up the house nothing to dislike, just a feedback for anyone staying that there are lots of stairs in the house so be mindful with little kids
- Ouchtomsky (7/5): Good - Well cleaned and owners replied to my call when I was trying to find the keys to the house. There was no details on booking the property that we would require our own linen.
We were only notified of this on the email sent 1 week before our arrival.
This information was also at the bottom of the email, which we did not see so we had to buy linen for our stay.
It would be good for future guests if you had this in your property description and included it in your prearrival email at the top of the email as it is quite an important piece of information that shouldn't be buried under a huge amount of text.
Or maybe even have a spare set of linen that could be charged extra if patrons forget to bring some.
- Kathy (7/5): Good - good location. generous kitchen supplies. Very reasonable price totally unsuitable for a group of single ladies. I booked on the basis of 4 separate bedrooms but the 2 on the third level were unusable. we were unable to take luggage upstairs and bathrooms were very inconvenient. Would be okay for a group of young people
- Pearlyn (8/5): Very good - Very clean, excellent central location yet peaceful and quiet, many electric appliances looks brand new. The host also provides many options to heat up the house. The only thing we don’t like is that all the beds in this property are too soft.
- Pearl (7/5): Good - Close to everything. Nice and Serene The bed was too low and not comfortable. Room downstairs need more space to move comfortably.
- Tamie (8/5): enjoyable and well stocked house with character - location, size (number of rooms), communication from owner some items in kitchen were unclean eg lipstick on wineglasses
- Marius (9/5): Superb -
- Kayne (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - location
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (9/5): We will be back -
- Joshua (7/5): Good -
