Guest Reviews
- Diana (10/5): Volveremos algun dia! - Una casa de 1670 restaurada con mucha calidez. Nos gustó mucho la decoración. El desayuno excelente. La atención de Martin un 10/10. Nos sentimos como en casa.
- Christian (10/5): -
Desayunos impagables.
Jackie y Erick, anfitriones excepcionales.
- Fernando (10/5): Muy agradable estancia - Todo

- Haydee (10/5): - Both terrific
- Oscar (10/5): -
- romina (10/5): - Todo.
- Szymon (10/5): Andaluzyjski klimat kolonialnego domu - Przepiękne artystyczne miejsce.
Bardzo dobre odgrzewanie pokoju.
Dobre śniadanie i gościnny właściciel. Rozstawione narzędzia (nieużywane) podczas renowacji trochę psuły wrażenie tego pięknego miejsca.
Nieznaczne uczucie zaduchu w pokoju najpewniej wynikające z historycznego budynku.
- Ignacio Martin (8/5): -
- Vincent (9/5): Comfortable and cozy stay at the heart of Cachi! defintely recommended - Amazing property decored with local quality stuff.
Amazing view and well located.
The breakfast was super good and the stuff/owner was nice and available

- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional - The house is extremely beautiful, furnished with great taste and Martin was a great host! Highly recommend if you want to truly have a chic stay in a house with lots of history to tell.
- Francesca (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very comfortable and the place was beautiful! Martin was very kind and nice with us!
I really recommend this place 😊
- Bob (10/5): Charming and relaxing stay, in a jewel within the jewel of Cachi. - Well restored old house of great character, with considerate and engaging hosts. Quiet but close to Cachi centre. Great terrace and garden. Good breakfast, and tea/coffee always available. Nothing
- Maria (10/5): We felt welcomed. The house is beautiful, it felt like staying in a home. - The location, decor and the owners.
- Jane (9/5): Fantastic old building, beautifully restored and furnished with welcoming hosts. A wonderful memory -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thibault (7/5): Simply charming ! - A beautifully decorated guesthouse, designed with exquisite taste! The place has a unique charm, owned by a European family and managed by a wonderful host on-site. The welcome was fantastic, and the service impeccable. However, the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, and there were lots of mosquitoes at night. Still, a lovely place to stay!
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Harlan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alix (9/5): This place is a gem. - The authentic style. Propriety renovated with taste. Attention of staff. The garden.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (9/5): Fabulous - Very tastefully restored old house with lovely courtyard and gardens very close to the centre of Cachi.
- Joaquín (8/5): Very good - Some misunderstanding about the barbecue but lovely place and couple and staff.
- Joaquín (9/5): Superb - Great stay! Lovely staff
- Rachel (10/5): Casa del Tejedor is honest, rustic, thoughtful and embedded in its surrounding. - We loved that it was so incredibly charming! There were lots of places to sit and rest that weren’t in your room. The garden was a delight in the mornings. I highly recommend sitting and reading a book there after breakfast - which was delicious might I add! Homemade yogurt, fresh orange juice and scrambled eggs upon request. Apart from that it was tastefully decorated, filled with art, books and other heritage items. Also the hot water and pressure is muy bueno!
We had an amazing time and we can’t recommend it enough! Nothing.
- Greg (10/5): Amazing historical building - Amazing historical home. Comfortable room with artistic furnishings. Lovely terrace and garden with views across the valley. Close to plaza, restaurants and shops. The owner is a delight. Breakfast is good and served in an lovely dining room.
- Mia (8/5): Very good -
- Katy (10/5): A special place with lots of history… and amazing breakfast - Really grand old house with beautiful garden. We could cook in the kitchen in the evening and relaxed in glorious sitting room with an open fire. The best breakfast we’ve had in Argentina - home made yogurt, cereal and marmalade! And eggs from their chickens. Nothing
- Ivan (9/5): Superb -
- Eduardo (10/5): Excellent stay - Everything
- Patsy (10/5): Beautifully restored colonial house in a great location! - We had a magical stay in this meticulously authentic restored colonial house, right in the heart of Cachi. We felt like we'd stepped back in time. Cannot speak more highly of the service and attention to detail. Thank you for a truly memorable stay! Nothing!
- Wojciech (8/5): Very good - Located in an old historic building with beautiful garden in the center of Cachi.
Nice breakfast.
Martin was very kind and helpful. They only accept cash, which isn’t very convenient. At night there was no water supply, which luckily was fixed in the morning but still a bit stressful, especially for a place which isn’t cheap compared to other options.
- Chris (4/5): Overall we had a good stay in this city - The style of the building is beautiful seems to be ancient Spanish architecture. The place is clean and the people running the Business are friendly. It has a beautiful cascading garden in the back. The amenities are poor. There is no Fan or Airconditioning and no mosquito repellent in the rooms and the garden chairs fall apart when you try to sit on them. For this reason it is not worth the money.
- Louise (10/5): Loved the garden with all the birds - We spent two nights here on our 10 night Salta road trip . It was exactly what we needed. We spent a relaxing warm day in the garden. The location is within minutes to very nice restaurants
- Marilyn (10/5): Historical inviting home close to all Cachi has to offer. Old world charm! - The breakfast was excellent; the host spoke only Spanish but we managed to communicate via our friend who is fluent in Spanish and via Google translate. The place is very historical 240 years old. Large patio, beautiful garden, very few rooms. Walkable short distance to restaurants. Loved it! Room we stayed in had twin beds and the window over-looked garden and trees with lots of birds. Rustic charm!! Huge key. Large old doors. This place is for people who appreciate history. All great!
- Fiona (8/5): Lovely but rustic… - This was a beautiful property in a great location. Breakfast was excellent and the surroundings are beautiful. This place was RUSTIC. If you’re okay with this (very old bathroom, no air conditioning, no windows screens, etc.) the history of the building will captivate. Having a said that, it was a bit more rugged than we had anticipated, albeit very lovely. The staff were excellent. The house was built around 1790 and has been renovated (2004) but still remains a very old building.
- Geoffrey (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): We enjoyed one night at this beautiful property and nice town. More time would have been nice. - The guest room was in a beautiful antique home which had been renovated authentically and the property had a wonderful large garden.
The hosts, Jackie and Eric, were very pleasant, interesting people. Guest comfort was not always achieved by the renovation. The bath shower was a challenge and required constant adjustment to regulate the temperature.
- Alex (10/5): Perfect 2 night stay with Infant - The property has a beautiful view, while still being right in town. The house is beautifully appointed creating a cozy upscale feel. Breakfast was delicious, I will think about it for days to come. We stayed with our 5 month old, the lovely hosts (Jackie and Eric) had kindly set up a crib making our stay even smoother. We were sad to leave after our 2 nights.
- Wendy (6/5): Pretty spot, great location; no life inside - Authentic, Historical & well decorated house in a walkable location to main plaza & restaurants with easy parking. Pretty views from terrace & room. Our experience was more of an AirBnB, not a hosted guesthouse. Place was always dark & empty, except breakfast, with no host available when we needed assistance or to greet us when we returned. No screens on room windows & mosquitos buzzed & bit us both nights. Room not serviced two days. Not for us.
- Konrad (9/5): Superb - A historic place with a lot of soul. It's not your standard B&B but unique home that invites you to rest and relax. Would come back any time. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Namrita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicolas (9/5): Great stay, too bad I had to argue for them to respect agreed price! - This property with a lot of charm is completely unexpected in the heart of Cachi. I had a large room. Style was rustic yet confortable. I had an agreed reduced price with the owner since I happened to check-in just a few days after the devaluation of the peso. My booking was made at a time when the USD was worth ~360 pesos, so new updated price in ARS would have been more than doubled. Even though I had this arrangement with the owner, the employees asked me a price that was 50% more. They did not believe me and I had to argue about the situation and show evidences about this arrangement. As a honest guest, the last thing you want to do is fighting for something agreed to be respected.
This left a bitter taste I must say.
- Harriet (9/5): Superb -
- Trudy (10/5): Lovely place to stay in Cachí, a real gem. - Great accommodation, with lots of history - tastefully decorated. Staff were kind and helpful, Nothing
- Peter (9/5): Charming B&B in a beautiful small town - One of the most charming B&B we have ever stayed in. very tastefully decorated. Excellent breakfast We stayed two nights but the room was not cleaned / bed made during our stay
- Agostina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Prfect - Exceptional. Beautiful property, superb location.
- Ana (7/5): Good -
- Lisette (8/5): Very good -
- Gemma (9/5): Superb - What a beautiful place to stay! Our group had the whole place to ourselves, it was peaceful with a beautiful outlook. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. And breakfast was amazing!
- Lynne (7/5): Good - Location is great. Air con and ceiling fan very welcome in this heat wave. Courtyards very nice. Bed was uncomfortable. Room small and a bit tired.
- Amanda (10/5): Top spot - What an incredible find in Cachi. Perhaps slightly more expensive than other options in town, but worth every peso.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucia (10/5): Exceptional - The homie feeling. Amazing Vila very well received by Martin and owners.
- Allison (9/5): Superb -
- Kirsti (9/5): Superb -
- Chrissie (10/5): Unassuming, but luxurious and so stylish! - Oh, wow, this place only has three rooms, so please get one if you can! The front is unassuming, there’s not even a sign outside, so you have to drive up to the gate using Google maps and just hope you’re at the right place. Ring the bell, and friendly Martín will open the gate and bring you in through the laundry room. At this point my partner was raising his eyebrows, not knowing what to expect, but Martín led us through a rustic but stylish kitchen and into an incredible dining/breakfast room, followed by a patio with mountain views. And then there’s the key, like something out of DaVinci Code, ancient and huge, followed by an incredible room with beautiful decor, wall art, and textiles galore. It’s in town, but perfectly silent at night, and the light and temperature are perfect. Nothing! The breakfast is very simple, but the luxurious, stylish decor, and comfortable, affordable rooms make this place an ideal destination. I will be back!
- Luca (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Salta Province - Everything was charming and beautiful from the rooms to the shared areas to the garden. The staff were also friendly and helpful. That we didn’t stay longer.
Also, be wary if you hope to drive route 40 from the north - consider a different route.
- Ian (10/5): A charming place to stay, full of character. - This property has real character. It is beautifully furnished and it feels as if you are a guest in the owner’s house. Breakfast was good and served with the other hotel guests in an elegant dining room. It is a very short walk to restaurants and the main square. Nothing
