Guest Reviews
- Irene (9/5): - Very comfortable, everything provided, spectacular view, private. We appreciated the breakfast supplies, the games, the books.
- Celeste (10/5): An exceptional stay with stunning views, thoughtful touches and a warm, welcoming host. - We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and pride Robyn puts into maintaining and presenting the space - it was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed.
Robyn was warm and welcoming, making us feel at home straight away. One of the standout touches was the freshly baked bread waiting for us on arrival, which was simply sublime and such a thoughtful gesture. The views were breathtaking - easily some of the best we’ve experienced - and made the whole stay feel even more special.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and we especially loved spending time in the game room. The pool table and the unique memorabilia added so much character and made it a really fun space to relax in.
Overall, this property exceeded our expectations in every way. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it to others. There was nothing that we didn't like.
- Madame (10/5): One of our best mini trips - Robyn was very welcoming. Breakfast offerings were more than generous, including home baked bread and eggs, water was blissfully filtered tank water. Game room very instructive. The views were not good, no, stupendous is a better term. The garden worth getting lost into. Kimba, our toy poodle, was made very welcome and became great friends with Louis whose body is just puppy like with a serious face. When we go back to this area, we shall check the cottage availability first. A little problem with the floor mop
- Miriam (8/5): -
- Judith (9/5): Lovely comfy, clean cottage with fabulous rural views - Great, secluded location with wonderful views. Very clean. Good provisions provided for breakfast. Lovely and warm on a cold day - it had been pre heated for our arrival 🥰 Nothing.
- Rita (10/5): Clean, peaceful, and amazing - The place is nice and peaceful and cottage is clean with everything you need for great stay. Thank you Robyn for being a great host, home baked loaf was great. Gaming room was amazing. Highly recommended.
- Steve (10/5): A great place to get away for a few nights and incredible views over the valley. Will be back!!! - Great quiet location. Nothing it was great.
- Newton (10/5): Spacious, comfortable, ideal base for exploring Great Ocean Road. - Rumpus room, kitchen facilities, garden, view, location, beds. Second bedroom more suited to a child rather than older adult as one had to walk through main bedroom for access to bathroom, However comfortable couches in rumpus and lounge rooms excellent alternatives.
- Helen (9/5): -
- Marco (10/5): A nice little cottage far away from any noise or destruction. - I really appreciate the effort the owners put in, to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Everything was excellent, nothing to complain
- Sharon (9/5): Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this little gem - Was a beautiful cottage with an awesome view especially at Sunset over the hills
- Administrator (10/5): -
- Caitlin (10/5): - Facilities and breakfast supplies were amazing. Was great to unwind with a game of pool and watch the sunset on the deck.
- Jiri (10/5): -
- Glynis (9/5): Just like home. - Very homely. Comfy bed - with electric blankets which I needed because the weather was cold, wet and extremely windy. The location is good - close to Timboon and Port Campbell. I attended a wedding at Camp Corriemungle so it was reasonably close. The only improvement I would make would be to add a full length mirror.
- Jo (9/5): -
- Philip (10/5): Great short stay - Beautiful, quiet location with stunning views out the back over the valley. Was met by Robyn with a fresh baked loaf of bread (still steaming).
Great place for a couple or small family to explorers the beautiful surrounds.
I was there for work and the wifi worked well. A real plus in the country.
Would definitely stay again.
- Denis (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Fantastic views and super comfy beds. - Fantastic views and super comfy beds. We ran out of time and didn’t take the opportunity to use the fire pit.
- Dario (10/5): Peace and quiet - Scenery and location are perfect, however fast internet allows you to watch Netflix or to catch up with work in a peaceful environment. Facility has everything you need to have a pleasant stay including host generosity to bake fresh bread and leave butter, milk, jam, juice and organic eggs in fridge.Top bonus is that your dog is very welcome
Excellent place to run away from every day mayhem and crazy city traffic
Go there park your car and trow away your car keys
- Trevor (10/5): Thankyou Robyn for a wonderful stay - great to meet you/ a lovely host - The breakfast is beautiful - freshly home-baked bread !
Fully self contained / quality, homely living, stunning views of the valleys and amazing sunsets, Wow!
Cobden Crest Cottages is 5 km from Cobden, - an easy drive. Every thing was fine. Thankyou.
- Stephen (10/5): Will return for sure. - Spacious, lovely views. Welcoming. Pet friendly. All breakfast supplies provided, and everything thoughtfully arranged,
- Rusty (10/5): Exceptional -
- Meenal (10/5): Exceptional - The property was fantastic—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and very welcoming. The host met us on arrival and gave us a tour. They also had a small dog who quickly became friends with our own. We especially loved the tranquility of the place—it was the perfect escape. Lots of games to keep us busy. The only suggestion we’d make is to consider adding a fence or barrier around the balcony—not because of the height, but just to make sure our cheeky little fur kid doesn’t try to jump off in excitement
- Jimbo (9/5): Superb - A hidden gem Robyn was a great host
- Vasilii (10/5): Exceptional - It was great, everything was as described and even better. Very clean and tidy. You can see how much effort was put to keep it that way. Would love to just stay in the house for a day, but had a lot of travel plans around the Great Ocean Road. Next time would give it an extra day :) Nothing
- Joanne (9/5): Superb - Our host was lovely and showed us around the accommodation and all the interesting local memorabilia that her family had collected, I love stuff like that! She also provided us with some fresh homemade bread and plenty of breakfast goods. The beds were comfortable and the accommodation has plenty of space inside to spread out. The kids enjoyed hanging out in the games room. The views were stunning and it was so peaceful Leaving!
- Cranwell (9/5): A pleasant stay in a relaxed environment, & enjoyed the comfy & cosy accommodation. - The owner was comprehensive in covering virtually anything needed for our stay, loved her home baked bread & friendliness. The garden & vista from the cottage were impressive, despite the dryness of the time. The electric BBQ didn't work. Maybe a problem with the fitting or power switch, or operator error!
- Roxanne (8/5): Great cottage in the country. - Great cottage for a couple or young family. Lovely view in cattle country. Everything you need was there, including homemade bread.
- Virginia (9/5): Gorgeous, well equipped cottage in a lovely spot. - A great spot with an amazing view, easy to get into Cobden, Camperdown, Timboon. Fully equipped, you want for nothing including fun stuff to do on site in the games room. Lovely to have tea, coffee, fresh bread, butter, eggs, cereals and spreads on hand. You could comfortably stay for a long or short time. Not dislikes, just note, no signage on the road (especially if arriving from the south) so you definitely need your GPS. And we made it work but second small bedroom with bunks is really just a space for kids.
- Sheryl (10/5): Repeat guests , we love it - Comfortable and clean.
- Tulloch (10/5): a lovely peaceful stay - the fresh eggs and baked bread were delicious Robyn our host was wonderful that I could not stay longer
- Pella (9/5): A lovely stay, would like to come back - Great place. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. Quiet, relaxing yet quite a lot to do. Breakfast provided with fresh homemade bread. Didn't want to leave. It's a lovely place to stay, but you need a car if you want to go out. Not walking distance to shops from what I could see, but that didn't matter to us.
- Chew (10/5): Exceptional - Great get away for an unplug
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): Very nice place so much to keep the family entertained - Awesome location and scenery. Lots of things for families to do. The walk through the gardens were beautiful. Fresh loaf of baked bread for us on arrival was delicious.
- Allan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (5/5): Passable - Beautiful gardens and a stunning view It smelled musty and dusty. It was a bit run down
- Jo (10/5): Pure relaxation with every want covered. - Gorgeous views, wonderful host, so interesting with all the paraphernalia in the games room. Wished we had more time there to relax and unwind.
Lovely fresh bread, juice, eggs just to name a few things. Honestly staying @ Cobden Crest you only need to take yourself and your clothes, everything else is catered for (except your dinner if corse)
Games, memorabilia, dvds, 2 tvs, comfy bed and even an air fryer!!! Simply has it all. Well done Robyn N/A

- Judy (9/5): It was a lovely comfortable cottage on scenic acreage with a parkland out front created by the host. - Host had baked fresh bread for my arrival. A breakfast most would like was otherwise left but as I travel with my own specific breakfast i only ate the bread. Everything was just right- no criticism.
- Margaret (9/5): Superb -
- Chethana (9/5): A delightful experience filled with warm hospitality, charming surroundings, and memorable moments. -
- Melissa (10/5): Comfy stay with a fantastic view! - Fantastic view from all windows, it was fun spotting the cows and we even had some come up on the other side of the fence near the cottage one morning.
There’s so much to do during down time with plenty of games, books, dvds and cds plus the pool table and dart board. The aircon worked well to cool the place on sunny afternoons and the bed was quite comfy.
Robyn was a lovely host who showed us around and provided a well-stocked kitchen!
We would definitely recommend a stay at Cobden Crest Cottage and hope to be back soon!
- Kenneth (10/5): Homely cottage with plenty to do for the kids - Host Robyn was very friendly and helpful even baking fresh bread on arrival! The breakfast provided was ample and the view out the back door was very relaxing. Location is great, only about 1/2hr from 12 apostles and short drive into town for supermarket. Well equipped kitchen where we cooked two dinners for the family. Lots to do in the billard room and gardens. Not much.
- Harry (10/5): Cottage with a view - Absolutely loved our stay, and our host Robin was fantastic. Will stay there again in the future. The games room was something that kept us entertained and the views from the balcony were spectacular.

Dogs were made to feel very welcome.
Electric blankets on the bed made a lovely touch.
- Alan (10/5): Great value for money and hostess Robyn was excellent. - Breakfast was very good and location was suitable for my needs Unfortunately there was a mouse or two in the cottage but that did'nt worry us as this is country living.
- Rosie (10/5): Breathtaking views, off the beaten track. Comfortable, snug and homely. - Breathtaking 180 degree views of plunging valleys. Enjoying the views from the balcony, sipping a cup of tea or glass of wine. Our host baking us a magnificent loaf of bread. Fresh eggs in the fridge. The peace and quiet. The games room. This is a quiet, country cottage where you feel comfortably at home (not a sterile, beige and white showplace where you're scared you might leave a scuff-mark!) We all loved our stay

All modern appliances & everything you need in the kitchen. Lovely view over the hills Outside view of unit on arrival needs upgrading. Very unkempt appearance, although main garden area is well maintained. Also need a sign to indicate which unit has the office/reception.
Difficult to find the address/driveway from the road in either direction. House number/ Cottage sign hidden well back from the road.
- Leo (10/5): Great relaxing cottage stay - Super friendly welcome by hosts Robyn &Paul. Complimentary freshly baked bread & dozen eggs went down a treat. Robyn was there to greet us on arrival with a fresh loaf of home made bread which was lovely, along with milk, juice and eggs in the fridge and an assortment of cereals. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was lovely. We had plenty of room for the portacot too Couldn't seem to find an exhaust fan switch in the bathroom but this was our only criticism! And wasn't much of an issue anyway
