Guest Reviews
- Kaila (10/5): - The Property was comfortable & spacious
- Kerry-Anne (9/5): Cosy house, walking distance to the town and handy to get to see all the sights. We would stay there again - Cosy house, centrally located, lovely and clean with the lights on welcoming our arrival late at night. Lots of room for a family of 4, with 3 beds and 2 bathrooms and a nice backyard area to relax and have breakfast in the sun which was also a nice area for an evening bbq. Everything we needed was there and it felt like a real home from home. It is a very pretty cottage and even came with goldfish in the front garden that my daughter loved to feed once a day. Bring the mosquito repellent as there were heaps of mosquitos around (think there was too much still water nearby).
- Jen (10/5): - Really lovely comfortable and spacious house. Great dog friendly backyard. Wonderful location close to town.
- Vanessa (10/5): A beautiful home with gorgeous furnishings and comforts. - Great location, secure and comfortable. We loved our stay in this charming cottage and would highly recommend it.

Secure parking at rear and huge undercover outdoors area.

- CHRISTINE (10/5): A perfect stay for me and my dog. - This beautifully renovated cottage was a cozy and welcoming place for me and my dog for one night. The cottage was very well equipped with everything I needed, the beds were so comfortable and contact with the host was friendly and welcoming. In particular, it was great to have parking in a garage with a roller door as it meant I didn’t have to totally unpack the car for just one night. It would have been nice to have some milk in the fridge on arrival.
- Gerts (10/5): -
- Sandra (9/5): Was exactly what we needed - Price and facilities Would be nice to have milk on arrival for a cuppa before getting supplies
- Jenna-celeste (10/5): - Our stay in parkes was amazing.
Our host was incredibly responsive with any questions we had during our stay.
The photos of this cute little cottage does not do it justice, clean, comfortable and cosy.
As a beach side family we wanted our stay in parkes to be one to remember and this cottage was just the start. We will definitely be back to stay again on our next trip.
As a little bonus my kids made a fluffy friend with a friendly little cat
- Kim (9/5): - Cosey and warm

- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The house was beautiful with great facilities. The garden area was amazing, great for sitting around and socialising. Location good - close to shops, cafes, pool and parks. Everything was great.
- Michael (10/5): The stay was great because it suited our needs. - The street appeal of the entrance to the property made it attractive when you first walk into the property. The place has been renovated so that there are new bathrooms/showers/kitchen/outdoor entertainment area. The big steel firepit is awesome, especially on cold clear winter nights where you can look at the stars but still feel the warmth from the fire. The property was pet friendly.
- Linda (8/5): Apart from the cold our stay was excellent. - Everything Took a bit to warm the place up. Noticed a gas connection in the loungeroom, maybe a gas heater to use in the cooler months.
- Sandi (10/5): Amazing and gorgeous place to stay. - We absolutely loved this place. It was amazing, the cottage was beautiful. I would come back and stay here anytime. They had everything that you could want ready for you. The rooms were gorgeous. They even had the aircon on ready for us so that we wouldn't be walking into a cold room. I would give this place 100/100 if it was an option. There was nothing that they could have done better. There is nothing negative to say.
- Nesha (9/5): Parkes gem - Very cosy beds. A lovely renovated original home.
Close to centre of town.
- Declan (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location near the centre of Parkes. It had everything we needed. Nothing
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -

- Roxanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, comfortable house with everything you need to feel at home. Thanks for another great stay!
- Carolyn (10/5): Lovely, inviting and quiet - felt like home. - I liked the character of the property - the high ceilings, the fireplace, etc. The outdoor space was excellent and really inviting. The property was quiet and comfortable and it was easy access to the main city centre and a number of parks were within walking distance. I really like being able to park the car in the garage as well as it meant we didn't have to completely unpack it. There was washing detergent provided (which was a lovely surprise) which meant we able to get our laundry done too. It felt like being at home which made it a very relaxing stay. A floor lamp in the lounge room would be nice as overhead lighting was the only option which made the room too bright. The lounge room and kitchen could also do with some privacy film on the windows as I could see into the neighbours property and they into ours. Some of the steps outside were difficult for someone (me) with mobility issues (there were very high). Played a fun game of "find the switch" for the ceiling fans - that would be nice to know in the accommodation information. These are minor points though and didn't detract from the experience.
- Vicki (10/5): Fabulous location. Walk to town. Felt like home. - Facilities were 1st class. Beds comfortable, home very clean. Offered more facilities than expected. Definitely as advertised. Would absolutely stay there again Nothing
- Catriona (8/5): We had a wonderful stay. - The place was great. Really enjoyed the outdoor area and the really comfortable beds. There wasn’t a table that fitted our family to eat a meal together. (We are a family of 6) Also, we wanted to use the fire pit but there wasn’t enough wood to do so.
- Meredith (8/5): A great find - The house is very comfortable and ideal for up to six people. The three bedrooms share 2 bathrooms, the kitchen is well kitted out, and the back area is perfect for a BBQ. A few coffee tables (nested) would be a useful addition, as there is nowhere to put a drink down other than on the central coffee table
- Daniel (10/5): A quaint, homely little stay that welcomes you, neatly tied up with a touching little backstory - This charming little semi-detached cottage in Parkes is simply that 1 in a million find.
The house is recently renovated and stunningly appointed. They've done a great job of updating on old house, into a lovely little getaway with a modern feel to it. You really do feel like you're house sitting for someone - it's just that nice and cosy.
There are 2 very spacious bedrooms in the main front of the residence with a smaller bedroom in the back extension. This is made up for with a vey luxurious feeling ensuite with ample space go about the necessities. The living area is spacious with enough room to fit the family around the TV and old (now a stunning display piece) wood fireplace.
The main family bathroom is something to be envious of with a COLLOSSAL shower that's easily beg enough for 3 if it weren't for the solo waterfall shower head.
The outside is just as amazing as the inside with beautiful little garden with a story out the front and a super sized (given the size of the house) entertainment area out the back complete with BBQ and Firepit!
Fiona has outdone herself and created this absolutely perfect little country getaway. The house is immaculate, the proximity to the town centre is just right (close enough to walk, but far enough away that the goings-on in town won't disturb) with a beautiful and touching story behind the inspiration for this house - but that's not mine to tell.
Oh, and there's a monster double lock-up garage out the back with alleyway access. Okay - so nothing is ever perfect. The grass out the back isn't grass, it's AstroTurf. This is understandable though, as an owner you really don't to be needing to come back and mow the lawns once a week or even more. The problem though, is that given pets are allowed, this is clearly the place for furry friend bathroom time. Unfortunately, synthetic grass means every so often you can get a waft of stale pet urine. Experience helped identify the smell. But honestly, it was hardly noticeable at times and when the smell did crop up, it disappeared as quickly as it came.
- Trish (6/5): A nicely renovated and equipped property, but not warm and cosy on this mid-winter visit! - location was convenient. parking was very good - behind a locked roller door. the kitchen was well stocked and and the dishwasher and washing machine and dryer were very good. there was plenty of outdoor relaxing space and a well placed clothes line. good tourist information pamphlets and books. Host was responsive to heat in bathroom issue, but couldn't resolve the issue as it was a Sunday. the property was cold on arrival - fans were going in the bedrooms in mid winter. the host didn't contact us before arrival as they didn't have our contact details -?
The ensuite bathroom was cold as the heat globes in the ceiling were out. That bedroom was very small and the air con not well positioned to heat the room effectively. the lounge suite was uncomfortable and needed cleaning - not a good choice for a short term rental property. there were no instructions or advice on using the exterior window blinds. The oven needed cleaning and the BBQ was quite dirty. Only just enough room for 4 around the kitchen table.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely house with everything we could possibly need & more! Comfy beds, quiet street, short walk to everything.
- Clenjlen (9/5): Lovely cozy clean home with very comfortable beds close to town. - It was a cozy and welcoming place to stay for a couple of nights close to town centre. The beds were so comfortable and contact with the host was friendly and welcoming.
- Brett (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - What a treasure of a place. So clean and well decorated, such a lovely home to stay in on our last night away heading home from a big trip. I could even get some washing done! Having bread for breakfast not just cereal
- Jenni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Superb - lovely garden, great facilities
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (7/5): Great quality family time. - Great location. The stairs on the front verandah were both high and steep with no grab rail, the older members of the group struggled and felt unsafe using them.
- Debbie (10/5): We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Cabo’s - a beautiful home and great location. -
- Jacqui (10/5): fantastic - great place nothing
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): Beautiful property - The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable. It's in a great location just one block from the main street. The host was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting a few nights in Parkes. There was nothing I didn't like.
- Trent (9/5): Lovely -
- Robert (9/5): an excellent place to stay - very clean and close to everything. Well fitted out for a stay.

- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - Bedrooms and layout of home was great. Spacious, thoughtful extras in pantry were helpful. Netflix in rooms fantastic. Perfect end to a road trip, got started on washing with handy washing machine and dryer. Very comfy beds Would have been nice to have seating for family dinner/meals but minor as home was excellent
