• Leslie (8/5): While outside our normal comfort zone, this turned out to be one of our favorite stays of the trip. - Donna Mariella was a unique experience. The Piazzette where it's located was a bit intimidating at the beginning. However we came to appreciate the authentic Italian experience that came with the location. The best part of the stay was Mariella and her manager Fabio. Mariella stocked the room with pastries, milk, bottled water, and other essentials. Their aim to please was sincere. They were very responsive with questions and assistance. Their warm welcome was unlike any other I've experienced. They really want you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. The building has an interior courtyard and two of the three nights there was a lot of noise that kept me awake. I think someone has a workshop at the ground level and worked until the early morning hours. Closing the windows helped shut most of it out.

• Var (10/5): Un pò di cuore è rimasto a Napoli ❤ - Semplicemente grazie. La signora Mariella è semplicemente fantastica. Ci ha accolto presso la struttura con pastarelle e babbà, caffè fatto al momento, ovviamente alla napoletana e un cornetto portafortuna. Quando la passione s'incontra con la gentilezza, la professionalità e l'amore per il prorpio lavoro, si chiama MARIELLA. La posizione è semplicemente eccezionale, si è all'interno del cuore di Napoli, dove il turismo pullula e si può vivere la vera Napoli senza richi e problemi. A pochi passi si trova Caravaggio, Napoli sotterranea e la Cappella Sansevero. Siamo arrivati dalla stazione centrale e si può scegliere se arrivare a piedi con una passeggiata di 10 minuti o con una sola fermata si arriva a Duomo e da li con cinque minuti si arriva presso la struttura. Il. Palazzo accoglie con un portone importante ed imponente, esso di del XVI secolo della famiglia Caracciolo, al primo piano si trova la struttura, affacciante nella corte interna, in modo da non essere disturbati dal traffico. Le camere sono complete di ogni confort, cucina, climatizzatore, cassaforte, asciuga capelli ed anche il latte per le bimbe. È pulita e silenziosa. Mit der Gastgeberin Mariella standen wir gut im Austausch und sie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral in der Altstadt und ist ein Ruhepol zu dem Leben rundum. Sie ist sehr geschmackvoll und schön eingerichtet.

A pochi minuti dalla Metro e immerso nell'atmosfera di Napoli con tante pizzerie famose intorno ed altri luoghi in cui mangiare. L'appartamento è in un palazzo storico molto suggestivo e ha tutti i servizi utili per poter anche organizzarsi per i pasti. La colazione messa a disposizione è completa. Il personale è molto disponibile e Donna Mariella molto ospitale! Mi ha scritto appena ho prenotato per prendere contatto ed venuta personalmente a salutarci e a darci ottimi consigli per la visita alla città. Lo consiglio per un weekend a Napoli!

• Angela (8/5): - It was located right in the old town. We could walk to many things. We were met with the key when we arrived. They were very welcoming to us. To enter the building it was a tiny door and run down looking area and building. The room itself was comfortable and clean.
• Piotr (9/5): - Ach Napoli! What a city! I think we can honestly say that staying at Donna Mariella made our visit in Napoli a really nice experience. The apartment was very comfortable, spacious in the center of the old city which was really convinient. The only thing is the light in the apartment - much less cosy as shown in the pictures - would recommend some smaller lamps in the bedroom and maybe warmer bulbs, but that is really the only thing. Otherwise we had a lovely stay, it was very quiet during the night which was great. Also we received a lot of very nice tips and stories from the host, as well as gifts - the Baba al rum and cakes with cream that awaited in the fridge made a delicious first breakfast, with a sip of mocca coffee were a lovely start of our visit! Overall it was a great stay and really recommend staying at Donna Mariella if you plan to visit Napoli - it guarantees a homey stay in a bit crazy city!

• Mo (10/5): - First of all you have to know that you will receive the best WELCOME ever from the host Donna and the person who takes care of us Fabio, great and nice people, they made sure that they are there to meet us, explain everything, and advise us where to go, also they gave us a list of places to visit and eat, also they welcome us with their traditional pastry/dessert. Now about the place :-) , for people who never been in Napoli they will be surprised when they arrive to the place, in the middle of the historic city , narrow streets, and odd look. When we arrived first impression was ..where are we going!!!.. big huge door, and in that door a mini door to enter in, I loved it but my wife at the beginning was shocked and hesitated to come in, but once you are in the place is nice and the people are great. Our room was small for 6 people but we fit in, and small kitchen for what you need, fridge and food ( water, Croissant, cereal, milk. If we need anything we just text Donna or Fabio and they will respond. The area is busy, but quite at night. we have been warned of the pick-pocketing but nothing happened, if you have kids always walk where its busy with tourists don't go in streets that are empty even if they look nice, and watch out of motorcycle that comes from no where.. THIS IS NAPOLI.

The only thing is the kitchen table only fits two people so ideally the apartment is either for only couples or a family if you are not planning to use the kitchen for meals. Bathroom is adorable and the entrance to the building is quite unique!

• Collette (7/5): Pleasent stay in the old town - The hosts were lovely and extremely attentive to help with anything you could possibly need. greta with the children and provided nice sweet treats. If you want to be in the old town it’s right in the middle and very close to the Duomo. In general it was nice and comfortable. It was a simple standard. There was not really any places to sit just the beds or dining chairs so we felt we had to stay out a lot even though we have children as it was difficult to be in the apartment unless to sleep. Small issue is the pillows felt lumpy and the bed throws didn’t feel as though they were washed after every guest (although I could be mistaken). In general a nice stay and great helpful hosts.

She was really happy and quick to help out with any questions, no matter how small. An incredible host! Also the apartment was spotless, extremely well-equipped, and in absolutely prime position to explore Naples. I can’t recommend it, and Mariella, highly enough! Not a thing!

Mariella supresied us with nice gifts. Fabio gave us all precious information about the city on our arriaval - and these are jot juct basic touristic information but also many inteteristing facts.

She has a beautiful way of making you feel at home. The rooms are well-kept, the atmosphere is authentic and charming. We stayed in a charming room that had an old stone well — a unique and beautiful detail that gave the space so much character. It felt like sleeping inside a piece of history. But what truly makes this place special is the humanity. The small gestures, the thoughtful tips about the city, the feeling that you’re welcome not just as a customer, but as a person. • Amanda (10/5): Brilliant in every way! - Absolutely brilliant in every way. If you want to experience the old town of Naples, and you really should, stay here. Daniela absolutely goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, and looks after her guests in every way she can. Fabio the property manager was brilliant too. The unit and building is stunning. We absolutely loved staying in a true old Napoli building, with the iconic narrow laneways just outside the door. It’s an easy 10-15 minute walk to the main train station, with plenty of tourist sites, restaurants and shops right outside the door. Fine for us but if you have a lot of mobility issues getting up the stairs might be tricky. If not absolutely stay here, it’s the best!
• Catriona (8/5): Unbeatable location with wonderful hosts and well stocked - The apartment was in a very central location, some of the top sights and restaurants are on your doorstep. The clean apartment had everything we needed from plates/mugs to coffee makers and basic shower gel. The double bed is large and comfy with sidelights, and the main room was big enough to fold out two additional beds that are stored on the wall if needed, although the apartment would likely feel cramped with 3 or 4 adults. Mariella and Fabio were wonderful, making sure we had everything we needed throughout and helped us when our baby was unwell. They also provided a travel cot for her. We arrived to a fully stocked fridge with packaged breakfasts, and the welcome Napoli bread from Napoli was a nice touch. We stayed over a weekend and there was some low level noise that could be heard in the building at night. There was a flight of steps up to the B&B, then another flight up to our room - totally manageable with two of us, but something to be aware of for those with accessibility considerations.

• Lux (9/5): Simple apartment, recommended. - This was everything we expected. Well located in the historic centre of Naples, a simple apartment that was clean and reasonably equipped. Note that the breakfast is some pre-packaged pastries and cracker breads rather than fresh every day, but it was a helpful start. And there was a generous cake left for us too. This is not a boutique hotel, it's a simple apartment, but it served us well and would recommend it (perhaps not for five people, that would be a squeeze). NOT related to the accommodation - the airport taxi pickup upon arrival arranged through the host was pretty poor, a dangerous vehicle that was a long walk from the terminal, so perhaps arrange your own transfer. Otherwise, everything was good.

The location was incredible and everything was above our expectations. Emanuela checked us in and was so helpful and informative. Mariella made us feel very welcome and was incredibly generous with the items left in the apartment and delivery of delicious local pastries. I had seen the excellent reviews and completely understand why. We enjoyed 5 days in Napoli and would definitely book again on our next holiday. Will definitely recommend to family and friends. Nothing. It was fantastic.

The kindest, most helpful and wonderful accommodation tax ever. A very nice man, Fabio, came to us late at night from the other side of town with the keys. He showed me around with patience and love and recommended the best places in the area. I could write a novel about the great experience, but in any case, if anyone is travelling to Naples, I highly recommend Mariella. If we go again, there is no question where we will sleep. • Carol (10/5): Fabulous, lovely hosts, spotless and excellent location. - It was an excellent space for a family of 5 to sleep, with enormous bathroom and walk in shower. Toiletries were provided. It was spotlessly clean. There was a really generous amount of breakfast cakes and pastries with milk in the fridge. And some really lovely personal and welcoming touches. We were made to feel really welcome. Donna Mariella is a really warm and caring host, and went out of her way to accommodate us arriving earlier than expected. An English speaking guide (Fabio) at the accommodation was really helpful with planning our time and sightseeing. The accommodation is 5 mins walk to the cathedral, ten mins from the Metro. Loads of shops and cafes as you step out of the apartment. Excellent location. Quiet at night, even if lively outside. We absolutely loved staying here. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Naples (which I’d love to!) Nothing. It was excellent!

• Rick (10/5): Donna Mariella - The apartment was beautiful and we were given some basic supplies like water, drinks and food. The host was lovely As a group of Dutch men, we tend to be quite tall, the shower area ceiling was kind of low.

• Judith (9/5): Wonderful hosts in the heart of Napoli! - Donna Mariella is right in the heart of historic Napoli a short walk to many restaurants, churches, museums and squares. Both Mariella and Emanuela did everything to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The only downside for us as a family of 5 was that we were all in one big room. It was perfect for 2 nights, any longer it would have been too cosy

• Azarchs (9/5): A delightful option for families - Ductless AC was a lifesaver, and although the room was quite small it was clean and comfortable. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. The noise level in the courtyard was surprisingly bad. Fortunately, with ductless AC you could keep the windows closed and not be bothered.

• Xu (10/5): For whom wants to discover the historical center of Nápoles, it is strongly recommended! - The location is on the historic center. And the room is very cozy and well equipped. The owner helped us to order the early morning taxi to airport, thanks a lot! And she is so generous, the fridge is almost full with the juice and water, yoghurt, all is free to the customer. All is good! It is very quality price.

• Von (10/5): Quaint, clean and very nice host! - They left delicious baked goods from a nearby bakery for breakfast and brought us more when we requested them. They also provided bottled water and brought more of those when we asked as well! Best part is it would sleep 5 comfortably! The bunk bed mattresses were just okay, but the futon bed was great! The stairs were a lot for my Mother in law with a knee problem. But she managed. We are not giant people, but I could imagine someone taller than 5’10” having problems showering (it ceiling is curved and low in the shower) and will need to watch their head when going into the kitchen.
• Frazier (10/5): Peaceful retreat amidst the beautiful chaos sums it up. - I quickly realized how beautifully busy, vibrant Napoli really is...walking down all active streets was sooo refreshing...really liked the location and Donna Mariella was in walk out of your door down any streets and see life really happening. Honestly, not a whole lot I didn't like the place is very nice...stayed with my two boys (guys trip) it was perfect for us. Guess if the door of first entrance was bigger that'd be nice 🤣 at 6'4 300lbs it was a little tight. Wonderful Stay

• Giovanni (10/5): An excellent location - Mariella and her team are amazing. They took the time to help us plan our limited time in Naples. They recommended restaurants and when we would drop Mariellas name we would get a table. We also needed to buy children’s shoes for a gift and one of the staff members recommended a location. It felt like we were visiting family rather than staying at a bed and breakfast.
