Guest Reviews
- David (8/5): Good place for Adult sibling gathering. - A bit dark and unwelcoming in the ‘garage section’ of accommodation.
- Andrew (5/5): We loved the house over all and enjoyed our stay - The location and set up was fabulous .It was a great house to accommodate for our family catch-up
The pool and outdoor area was lovely The property was not clean. There were cobwebs all through both inside and outside . The shower bases were slippery as the products sprayed to clean were not wiped off . Lots of dust around. You could definitely tell it hadn’t been cleaned properly
- Marianne (7/5): - Enough rooms & tv’s, kitchen had everything we needed too. Wasn’t cleaned properly at all. Found rat poo on the floor in the corners, definitely wasn’t vacuumed before we checked in. We have high cleanliness standards & this wasn’t met here. Very disappointing.
- Maria (8/5): We had a wonderful family get together at the Weeping Elm. Caitlin & Hayley were very helpful. - Beautiful house, lovely & warm with plenty of room for our family of eight.
- Steve (5/5): while position was suitable for our needs maintenance needs review and repair - location was very suitable to our needs maintenance needs to be upgraded broken blinds
cleaning standards require review (phone call not returned by agent)
rubbish bins all full
pool with broken lids around surrounds
pool safety lock not locking fully
- Joanne (6/5): Lovely house but needs a/c - The property is spacious, ample bedrooms, good sized pool, clean, lots of parking and in a quiet peaceful area Stayed at this property 2 years ago & the same issues still existed this stay even after feedback.
The house needs air conditioning everywhere not just one bedroom in the main house & one bedroom in the smaller area. The ceiling fans do nothing.
The steps to the pool are still broken & the gate to the pool is faulty which is very concerning.
The blinds need replacing in smaller house as they are broken as is the sunshade outside.
- Nicole (10/5): Taking the adult children away together ❤️ - The house was stunning, beautiful inside and out.
It was nice to be in a house that had old historic charm and so much space for my large family.
Very beautiful gardens and surroundings were quiet and peaceful.
The pool was great as was being able to cook on the BBQ. Some kitchen wear needs to be updated such as the leaking kettle and the toaster was only toasting on one side. The saucepans and frying pans don't really suit a large family. It might be helpful to have a LG electronic frying pan and an air fryer available.
It would be a great idea to have a broom/mop available to use, as well as a some cleaning products for visitors for those little spills.
The vacuums need the battery replaced, as they don't hold the recharge. We did manage in the end.
- Suzie (8/5): This property suited our group and allowed us to be together. - Ideal house for a large group with multiple living areas & bathrooms Quite dark thru out and some window coverings were unable to be opened and blinds were broken. This could easily be fixed with maintenance.

- Christine (10/5): -
- Darren (10/5): -
- Debra (9/5): - Spacious and comfortable 🙂
- Janelle (10/5): As advertised great for a group, lots of dinnerware for guests -
- Mcnamara (10/5): Absolutely Beautiful !! - It was absolutely stunning, clean and tidy upon arrival. Communication about check in and any questions I had leading up were answered quickly.
Even with the freezing cold weather the kids enjoyed a quick swim in the pool. Home was beautifully well kept, plenty of linens and we loved the added touch of the board games which we enjoyed playing couple (was a few pieces missing out of a few games but no big deal)
The kitchen is stunning and had everything available needed to cook.
Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
Thank you, if we are ever needing accommodation in the area again we know where we are booking !
- Jacob (10/5): We work everywhere around east coast of Australia and this is best house ever stayed at with workers - Separate areas for workers had everything we needed Shops not walking distance but good quiet area
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Goodier (10/5): A relaxing weekend away. - There was plenty of space for individual activities such as watching movies as well as group activities either inside or outside. You can tell that the property has been upgraded by the owners and it is definitely a credit to them. There wasn’t really anything I didn’t likeabout the property..
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (1/5): Bad - It would be a lovely place to stay in winter. But if you stay in warmer months there is no air-conditioning in the main house and the front bedroom window doesn't open to cool it down at night so it is a hot box. The pool is green and full of slime and can't be used and the people that look after the house said they would get someone to clean and fix it but no one came for the 5 days we stayed and the phone number of the pool people they gave us only went to message bank and they didn't call us back. Looking at the reviews the pool has been a problem for many months with it being slime green. This property is advertised wrong they say it's has air-conditioning but its only in the bungalow and in the bedroom of the one bedroom unit that is attached to the main house. It doesn't cool the rest of the main house so the front 2 bedrooms and the front lounge are to hot to be in during the day. If they put air-conditioning in the main house it would be a lovely home to stay in. The pool was full of slime and after ringing the property manager on the first day they said they would get someone to fix it but no one came for the 5 days we stayed their. I rang the manager the second day and got the pool peoples number but it just went to message bank and they never returned my call. The deck off the main house has a huge hole in it which it very dangerous and looking at reviews has been this way for over 12 months. The deck off the bungalow has rotted and sinks when you step onto it with nails sticking up the could cut your feet. The fan on the deck of the bungalow isn't wired in so can't be used. The washing machine in the bungalow is broken and doesn't work. The shower in the bungalow leaks all over the floor needs new silicone. The kettle in the bungalow leaks so you can't use it. The ceiling fan in the 2 single bed bedroom has no switch to turn it on. Most of the blinds in the bungalow are broken so there is no privacy especially in the bathroom with most of the blind broken off. The outside door door- knob in the bungalow fell off. The pool fence gate safety latch is broken and not working so I would be very worried about a child drowning in the pool. The latch for the gate at the carport has broken off. Looking at all the reviews over the last 12 months people have been complaining about all the problems and nothing has been done to fix things. I rang the property manager and they didn't want to help me even after I sent photos of all of the problems and just said that the person that usually looks after this property was away and they couldn't do anything till they came back. Looking at past reviews everyone that has rang them has had no one help from them as well. I booked this property over 12 months ago so didn't see all the bad reviews that had been posted since then. The cleaners were still at the property when we got there so we couldn't go in till 3pm.
- Jan (6/5): Pleasant - House was spacious. Not enough air con/fans. Pool was dirty and outside area needed cleaning and maintenance.
- Anne (9/5): A beautiful home very poorly managed and we felt very let down and apologise given by rental management - The 5 bedrooms and pool The pool area not clean with old wood decking with a dangerous hole from rotten floor boards and pool needed a clean before we could use
On arrival no key in box to gain entry and property not cleaned from previous guests - had to wait for a cleaner - a very upsetting start to our long term booking to attend. Family wedding
- Amber (5/5): Not great value considering the multiple issues, rude real estate staff who just offered excuses. - Spacious and had a nice kitchen. Only one aircon in a guest room for the entire house so was very hot. Broken window latch in the master so couldn't even get airflow. Sticky floors, dirty pool with a low water level. Had to pick up several dead cockroaches off the floors. Back deck was broken but had caution tape up that looked faded and it had been there for a while. Real estate were not apologetic and didn't offer any sort of compensation for the inadequacy. Real estate did send the pool guy so that was one plus. However still not acceptable for the price.
- Mandy (6/5): A good well situated home but needs maintenance. - The main house was really lovely - nicely decorated, comfortable and a great space for the family to share, spread out & relax - with two living spaces & lots of bathrooms/ensuites. The property is really well situated, reasonably well equipped & was clean. The house was well equipped & comfortable but there were a number of broken or damaged things around the house which detracted from the overall look, feel & function of the house - broken decking boards, broken blinds, broken vacuum cleaner, shower screens that are hard to use, windows that wouldn't open & the house got hot with only ceiling fans (so the bedrooms were stuffy & hot @ night) + the garbage bins were full when we arrived & so we had to take most of our rubbish out with us throughout the day to get rid of it. Therefore I would rate maintenance of the property very low.
There were also a lot of cockroaches in the 2nd dwelling/cottage - so everything was dirty & needed cleaning before it could be used - if you have a cockroach phobia you wouldn't enjoy staying in the smaller cottage/unit.
The pool was really great to have - but it was also not clean and was full of leaves & dead insects + very old/
worn.
Overall a very nice and well situated house - but it would benefit from a fair amount of maintenance for the price paid.
- Irene (5/5): Disappointed needs attention. - The house itself is beautiful Dirty face washer in ensuite bathroom it had makeup on it. The shower door in the ensuite was very hard to open and close with fear of the glass breaking. The kitchen floor was sticky to walk on. The toilet seat in the small bathroom was loose, not attached properly or maybe broken.
The outside unit bathroom had broken blinds, giving no privacy.
The pool could not be used as it was dirty and had not been cleaned. The verandah on the outside unit would move when it was stepped on. we moved the BBQ across it so that it wouldn't be stepped on with fear it would break. The outside stools were covered with cobwebs, and the worst thing of all was the BBQ it was absolutely filthy, not ever cleaned and covered with RAT DROPPINGS. Such a pity as the house is lovely.
- Vasilescu (8/5): We had a wonderful stay, the house and gardens were delightful. - Enjoyed the common spaces, the charming decor and the many bathrooms. We loved the beds and the beautiful linen. Just a suggestion, perhaps as the weather becomes warmer, a lighter blanket for the bedding.
- Belinda (7/5): Cute house, loads of room, great for large groups, good location! - Ease of access, location, good for large groups. Lots of bathrooms, condiments provided, coffee machines. Toilet seats were loose, some dishes were unclean in cupboards, the pool was dirty, Venetian’s in second house were broken and there wasn’t any privacy.
- Anonymous (4/5): Very disappointing - The location it was very quiet The bottom part of the house wasn’t cleaned. Had to message to make sure it would be fine for other guests next day. Towels left in main house from guests before. Tv in lounge room off kitchen didn’t work properly was all snowy and no free to air on this tv. Planks leading to front door broken and safety hazard. Gas bbq not going but gas left on found when terrible smell entering bottom part of house. Electric blanket left on.
- Bronwyn (9/5): Superb - As the name says, it was large and spacious. A little way from the centre of Albury
- Anthony (6/5): Really nice place happy to recommend - Really nice place perfect for my needs. Plenty of room Was disappointed the heater in the main lounge didn’t work and there was not a shred of toilet paper in any of the toilets. The rubbish bins had not been put out so had nowhere for our rubbish, we put it in bags and left on porch. Hope that was ok
- Symone (8/5): Team was helpful with questions and ensured our stay was comfortable. - Large family property. A home away from home.
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Patricia (7/5): Good -
- Kelvin (7/5): Had a lovely stay with our friends -
- John (7/5): Adequate and spacious for large group, disappointed with rear residence, safety issues need to be rectified - Spacious living areas
Lots of sleeping spaces Shower in the bottom house leaked
Broken blinds in bottom house
Dark and dingy in bottom house
Unsafe decking areas around pool and front path
TVs not user friendly/ could do with clear instructions
Quite dirty outside- could’ve done with cobweb cleaning
Hot water in main bath not reliant
Clear instructions required for all appliances
- Elisha (7/5): Comfortable stay in Albury - Clean, lots of bedrooms, easy to access. Layout is a bit strange.
- Vicki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (9/5): Beautiful house with plenty of room - Amazing property, very spacious with a great pool. No air conditioning in the main bedrooms & living areas which made it very uncomfortable as it was fairly hot
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (10/5): Amazing - So much room for us to spread out as a family, we were never on top of each other Not great heating, I couldn’t work out how to make the electric fires start.
- Tracey (10/5): We enjoyed the comfort of the home overall. Plenty of room for everyone - Convenient and easy to locate keys. There was a few maintenance issues we found that needs attention.
Vanity basin In bungalow is leaking under the basin and we had to leave a towel on vanity to soak up water.
Could not use TV in front lounge room and it didn’t get fixed whilst we weee there.
- Katherine (10/5): Perfection in Albury - One of best properties I've ever booked.
The house was lovely as were the gardens. The property was spotless and had plenty towels.
The amenities were over and above expectations with multiple fridges, huge oven and well equipped kitchen.
Very comfortable beds and plenty of tv's.
If you are travelling to Albury this is a must stay location
Close to downtown Albury (short car ride or a nice leisurely walk) Could have done with some microwave plastic containers, but no big deal as I bought my own with me
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (4/5): The property lacks the facilities to make your stay comfortable - Location and off road parking
kitchen was well equipped No air conditioning was a massive downfall then a lot of the windows had no fly wires so it was extremely hot and stuffy to sleep. So given the awfully humid weather we had during our stay it was very uncomfortable.
Whilst the curtains look lovely they were full of cobwebs and also the fans were dirty too. All our beds ended up with dirt and cobwebs on them when we first turned them on!
Plants at the front door were over grown and impossible to walk through without getting wet.
I’d warn anyone with small children that the stairs down to the back lounge are extremely dangerous / no side or gate.
The property just feels like it’s been rushed renovated lacking attention to detail.
We also contacted owner during our stay when the roof leaked and caused substantial flooding in the hallway. There was no care to us or even sorry this has happened. just left us to clean it up. Was pretty unimpressed
- Ritesh (10/5): Exceptional - central air condition would have been better
- Susan (8/5): Very good - clean modern lots of spaces couple of blinds in one room not working
- Natalie (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
