Guest Reviews
- Andy (10/5): Great experience and beautiful property - Great experience and beautiful property
- Savannah (9/5): -
- Saliya Widanagamage (10/5): We had a relaxing and memorable stay with wonderful hosts and a beautiful farm experience. -
- Esmarie (8/5): Wonderful winter escape, roaring fireplace and lush surroundings. - The location was lovely, the host was wonderful, it was a very unique experience
- Rowe (10/5): - The house is amazing and is so rustic, being a 100 yo house, its oozing with character and charm, further complimented by a beautiful deck with an outlook onto valleys and hills.
The location itself is just stunning and just a short scenic drive from Nannup.
We Intend to return and stay again. The worst thing about the house, is having to pack up and leave
- Corey (8/5): - Peaceful quiet retreat away for the bustle of life
- Elizma (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): Really enjoyed our break, lovely outlook and the fire place got quite a work out! - Lots of charm, hosts were awesome Nothing
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional -
- Boadicea (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (5/5): Passable - Linda was lovely and very helpful The place was old and a bit of a shock that the photos were very creative in portraying a big luxury place. The staircase was tight and dangerous. Rooms were cold and drafting.
- Dirk (1/5): Bad -
- Tom (9/5): Superb - The stay was really good and relaxing. Kids had a great time. Evening though there were no Play ground kids enjoyed.
John and Linda were really helpful.
- Mary (3/5): Extremely disappointing - A pleasant location with wildlife. The place was unclean ( cupboards, drawers ), the bathroom smelt unpleasant and we had vermine in the house. It was very hot ( no AC) and several windows wouldn't stay open and another one couldn't be closed. It was gloomy with poor lighting. The bathroom door didn't close properly.
- Stephanie (5/5): Farmstay was adequate but they could do much more. - The farm tour was nice. A girl named Jess took us around the farm and gave us an engaging and informative tour. We enjoyed learning more about chestnuts and seeing some of the animals. As city folk, we also loved looking at stars at night. The cottage is a little poky. The downstairs big bedroom had a wardrobe/ storage section that had travel cots and bits of carpet, broken fans strewn everywhere. Looked untidy and gave the feeling that things weren’t so clean (although generally we had no issue with cleanliness).
There could be more attention to detail (proper fire starters for the fireplace, matches instead of a stove lighter that had insufficient fuel, more activities for kids (like books or boardgames(. To make this farm a more desirable destination, I would have better animal experiences and a playground nearby to keep the kids entertained. Otherwise it felt a little like all they had to do was run around (and be attacked by hordes of flies) or watch TV.
- Laurence (9/5): Superb -
- Katarzyna (10/5): Awesome place! - Amazing views! Quiet! Beautiful owners!
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful repeat stay - will be back again - Fantastic stay again. We all enjoyed:
-Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.
-Comfortable lounge area, TV, movies, and fire.
-Good wifi coverage across the whole house.
-Walks in the chestnut forest.
-The food available from the shop, especially the chestnuts, the pork products and the honey.
-Views from the porch.
-The ability to make BBQs and enjoy them with views of the countryside.
-The general ambience of the farm - lots to look out, lots of interesting projects underway (the garden, statues, vege patch, animals).
-The general nature around, including the town of Nannup. In winter, ask for help lighting the fire if you arrive late at night and are not familiar with how to do it. Not a problem for us but not everyone is familiar.
- Ahmed (8/5): Nice and peaceful place, Host was amazing. - Great location, John was amazing with everything.
- Alison (8/5): Relaxing place in idealic countryside. - Quiet peaceful location.

- Katrina (9/5): Relax away from city life! - Cottage was cozy and full of character. Location is beautiful and host was friendly and helpful. Without air con may be hot in warm weather but there are fans and wood fire if cold.
- Laurelle (10/5): A beautiful spot to escape to and enjoy. - The house had lots of character and history, is was tucked away in a beautiful valley, the hosts were friendly and accommodating. The kids loved that they could explore. There was lots of helpful information and things to do. Nothing it was unique and great.

- Inna (10/5): Our family enjoyed our gateway, beautiful location and picturesque views around. - Lovely location, good for family gateway, fun for kids.
Organic farm produce that where we’re yet to try. Kids enjoy staying there and exploring farm and interacting with farm animals. Hosts are very hospitable and knowledgeable about farming practices. It was a little bit cold, but we stayed there in winter season. Could be more enjoyable if coming in mid season.
- Erin (4/5): disappointing and expensive - landscape cleanliness
