• Anthony (10/5): Seaview Escape is centrally located to essential services (walking), seaside, wildlife/nature. - Seaview Escape has a well equipped pantry and coffee/tea/condiments supply. Great sea views from the sundeck & windows (also white wallaby visit at night). Fantastic sunsets. It is walking distance from Alonnah medical centre, police, post & pharmacy as well as Bruny Hotel where we dined on hearty meals during our tour and separately for lunch & dinner. We visited Get Shucked Oysters (superb), Bruny Island Honey (great variety, honey, skin creams, Propolis & Manuka sore throat spray & live beehive on display), Chocolate Factory, Cheese & Beer Company - all wonderful produce; the Cape Bruny lighthouse - an absorbing experience of the mechanics while it rained outside. We did not recognise Seaview Escape property on arrival. An exterior photo on the website would have helped.

• Craig (8/5): Lovely place just a few disappointing things. - The property was in a good location, was clean and comfortable. I would expect at least 1 queen bed. It states breakfast supplied, there was plenty of toast, some Rice Bubbles in the cupboard no other choice and 1 x 200ml milk that wasn’t enough for tea and coffee let alone cereal. No option to pay by credit card, so missed out on our frequent flyer points. Prearranged 12 early entry, the house was not ready.

• Lines (9/5): Location and Facilities Were Excellent! - Walking distance to the best pub on Bruny. Clean and had everything we needed, over the road from a playground which our kids loved. We toured the island and agreed that we are in the best spot!

Wish we had booked for longer. Wildlife at your doorstep, water views and very comfortable. Pub down the road for a nice meal and sunset, not far from the Bruny Island Bread fridges!
• Michael (7/5): Great location, great views, but left lacking. - Great location with an ocean view from the deck. Hotel Bruny is a short walk away for dinner as is a nice little cafe to walk to in the morning. Lots of wildlife in the area to see including wallabies, birds, sting rays, etc. It was super quiet and peaceful with a great view of the sunset. Steve was really easy to deal with and arrange the booking which was appreciated. There were a-lot of ants everywhere. On the bed, on the kitchen bench, the floor and dining table. Had a bad sleep due the poor mattresses (cheap and thin, I sank right through and I’m avg size). Based on the nightly rate, I expected a better quality mattress and sleeping conditions. I guess value for money, I was a bit disappointed. At $296/night, I was expecting a little bit more comfort, but that’s a personal preference. (For anyone wondering, breakfast is cereal packets, box of milk, fruit cups, and frozen bread from the freezer. Tea and coffee to drink.)
• Natalie (10/5): - Great location, superb ocean views in an idyllic spot on the Island. The cottage had all the nice finishing touches, like breakfast staples to make our stay even better. Rooms were comfortable and the kids enjoyed watching the visiting wallabies at dusk. This place is a real gem. Would have stayed longer if our itinerary allowed. The nearby Hotel Bruny was a fabulous dinner option too.

• Langford (9/5): Barbie's dream kitchen on a peaceful island at the edge of the world. - I had a wonderful time here and did not want to leave. The kitchen was hot pink!!! It was awesome! Well stocked pantry, frozen bread for toast, milk and fruit cups in the fridge. Free wifi, beautiful lighting in all the rooms. Cute view of surrounds including water, balcony with table for dining, good water pressure in shower. Staff bent over backwards to be helpful making sure we knew how to access everything. If I should suddenly disappear from my current life, my employer and family should not look for me here, I will definitely not be here starting a new life in this beautiful home on this serene island on the edge of the earth without them. Go North, children! Look for Mumma there. Or in the wind. The couches weren't comfortable in the lounge room, not a big issue for me as I was travelling around the island and not there to lounge.

• Belinda (10/5): Perfect short getaway on Bruny - Great location opposite a beautiful swimming beach and walking distance to the pub. The house is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax in between adventures.

Very handy having cereal, toast and coffee supplied for breakfast before heading out sightseeing. Steve was very helpful about local attractions. Only the cold wet and windy weather but having a spacious cottage to relax in with a book and great views compensated for that 😊

• LozBishop (8/5): Delightful stay on Bruny - The location was fantastic, being so close to hotel bruny where we went for dinner, and also at pretty much the middle point of everywhere we wanted to go. There were really thoughtful touches like breakfast stuff and more milk than I've ever had at a hotel/airbnb. The host was great and communicated perfectly. Don't let the exterior of the building fool you, it's a great house. The mattresses were a bit solid, but with everything else being so great, it was a very minor issue.

Thick towels. Fragrant soaps and hair products. Washing machine tucked away behind folding door is a bonus. Bed was comfortable. Pillows a little soft for my liking but that's personal taste. Spacious living area with good views to the water. Wifi and tv worked well. Weather wasn't the best so didn't enjoy the deck like you would in fine conditions. Located less than 1km from the hotel. Access to the cottage is simple. Steve is in contact and available if advice is needed.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent house for a stay on Bruny Island - The breakfast provisions provided were very welcome. The location of the house was perfect. It was clean and comfortable, and it even had a coffee machine! I would highly recommend staying here. It’s an easy walk to the pub for meals and a great location to capture the Aurora Australis, which we saw twice during our stay.

The children were delighted to see padimelons, wallabies and rabbits in the garden. We only stayed for one night this time but would like to stay longer next time. It was a very hot day and it took quite a while for the room to cool down after the air-conditioner was switched on.

The property is located in a very good location, next to the sea and convenient. Inside the property was tidy, clean, and comfortable. It was very well organised and had everything you needed. Next time, we will definitely come back here again. There’s nothing I don’t like. Everything was perfect.

Steve's clear and easy-to-follow check-in instructions made the arrival process a breeze. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the cozy atmosphere and the spotless cleanliness of the apartment. After checking in in the afternoon, we relaxed with some Netflix and felt right at home. The highlight for us was definitely the view: nothing beats watching a gorgeous sunset over the water, with the added bonus of seeing wallabies, including a few white ones. My mum was visiting from Europe, and she was captivated by the natural beauty surrounding us. Breakfast had all the essentials to ensure we started the day right and didn't leave hungry. Overall, our experience exceeded expectations. Should we return to Bruny Island, we would absolutely book this place again. Highly recommended.

When the water heater didn’t work well, I texted the host about the problem and he sh - Very clean and well furnished especially the kitchen as it is well equipped with cutlery and well stocked with flavours for cooking. There’s a washer and host provided all sorts of detergent. There’s a very nearby bay for fishing and we loved it there, spent quality time fishing and watching sunset. I wish there were more hooks on the bedroom walls so that we can hang our coats, bath towels. More hangers would be useful too. Not an issue but just a friendly feedback.

Wife particularly appreciated crystal clear tv with Youtube, Netflix and many other channels. There is also a brand new washing machine with heated lights that worked as dryer should it rain outside.

Great location in Alonnah near pub for tasty meals. Very central to all the Bruny Island attractions. Lovely views out to the water. We also really appreciated all the provisions for breakfast ie bread, milk, cereal, butter and spread sachets, fruit. It was so great as there is not many shops on Bruny Island. Thanks Steve. Everything was lovely and clean and the cottage has everything you need for a comfy family getaway. Highly recommend this place for a family or small group checking out all the great Bruny Island attractions. Also, was reasonably priced. Nothing really
• John (10/5): Good value - Good roomy accommodation, with most facilities you'd want, including a full kitchen (we cooked in one night, ate out two nights - main eat-out place on Bruny is the Hotel Bruny, about 10-15 minutes walk away, or a few minutes drive - but avoid the 6:00pm rush! They're not good at handling a long queue of arrivals!). We were a couple, so plenty of room, could leave our suitcases etc in the 2nd bedroom, but it might be a bit cramped with more people. Didn't meet our host Steve, but he was very friendly and helpful via phone calls and text messages, always available. Much better than your average motel/hotel room, more room and more facilities. We were slightly disappointed by the double beds rather than queen size, but this was spelled out in the description, so can't complain. We'd stay here again. FYI, the general store in this area has closed, the only source of groceries etc is the IGA in Adventure Bay - and their weekly delivery of fresh meat is late Wednesday, as we discovered too early on Wednesday...
