Guest Reviews
- Maria (4/5): Very disappointed - It looked lovely from the outside and the location was good. The property was full of clutter there were no internal walls separating the bedrooms just a screen. Not sure the linen was fresh there were holes in the sheets. The bathroom was not very clean and the shower did not have a light.
- Andrew (8/5): great stay. walk distance -
- Fiona (10/5): Unique, close to everything and plenty of room - So quirky! Not what you would expect at all.
Location was exceptional.
Plenty of room for a family Nothing
- Gregory (5/5): So unfortunate as could be a nice place.
Parking and issue - Position of location.
Looked nice from out the front
Comfy beds but a bit smelly Home felt dirty.. mugs stuck to bench and
plumbing needed looked into..
Hoons using road out front as a play ground through the night.
- Gavin (7/5): Great location a bit cluttered good for a place just to sleep - Location was fantastic Declutter the place as so much furniture with no real
Purpose and the shower head could be replaced
Outside area could use a today up
- Lachlan (10/5): -
- Robert (7/5): - Pleasant outdoor garden had table and seating for dining. Most of the walls have been removed. No real bathroom - shower and 2 toilets in laundry.

- Jane (8/5): -
- Alun (8/5): -
- Kenneth (10/5): - Very quiet, great location for shops and looking around The shower head needed replacing and a few tap washers, parking, parking meters in the street

- Natalie (7/5): Property met expectations as advertised. Comfortable, central, easy to access and nice outdoor area. -
- Morris (9/5): It was a very unique experience that we will remember fot years to come - Location great quite unique set up Little over decorated
- Michelle (7/5): Very unique! Loved the wall mural! - Great location no separate rooms
- Parkin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michaela (8/5): Very good -
- Tajinder (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alon (7/5): 1 bedroom not 2 - The only problem was that its only 1 large room with cheap partitions to create rooms; which means light and sound from the living space or other bedroom will go through. Perfect for a couple or family with really small kids everything else is good.
Lovely owner and location, place was a little cluttered but that's ok, had everything you need, Had to go looking for extra towels but found in the end. It's only 1 bedroom, we booked thinking it was a 2 bedroom house. This should be clearer in the advertising
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Friendy owner Cleen place
- Tzu-ying (7/5): It is a nice place to stay in Bendigo with a bunch of friends. - The location was great. Parking was easy. The place provided everything we need. 3 rooms are actually not separated.
- Louise (7/5): Good -
- Collins (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachel (7/5): Made great memories - It was so unusual and eclectic we had heaps of fun and it made great memories. I believe it was a resturant converted into a home. Kids loved it. Gas cook top. the electric was not very hot and I could not cook meat.
- Adam (7/5): Good - .. ..
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kazuki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (9/5): Superb - This is a great lovely house centrally located and eith a very unique sense of decoration .
Is spacious, has a great TV , beds are comfortable and we certainly enjoy staying the night .
Family of four Is not much I can think about to fault it. Great value and the host was so helpful . Thank you Lucy
- Tmlowe (10/5): Beautiful unique home with something for everyone - The host was extremely welcoming and a great communicator. The house was a thoroughly enjoyable place to relax, with all amenities thoughtfully provided. Highly recommended for families and couples alike.
- Rajeshwari (7/5): Reasonably fair and clean place for accommodation - Cleanliness Space arrangements
- Cameron (7/5): Good - I describe it as the house of many sinks
Or as the song I was singing, Welcome to the house of sinks. A slight variant to the madness classic.🙂
I could see it must have been an old hair salon in a previous life.
But overall nice and bit a wacky with a few trips to the old recycling shop at the tip.👍🏻
- Wayne (8/5): We enjoyed our stay - We had breakfast at a local bakery No exit other than back door
- Kym (9/5): we like our stay -
- Kirsten (8/5): Definitely unique, great location, very comfortable. - Unique CBD home definitely lives up to its name. It's a converted hairdressing salon and has partitions rather than internal walls in the main area. It worked for me and was an easy walk to restaurants, cinemas and shops. There is a spacious kitchenette, and two loos and a washing machine in the separate shower area and a really lovely outdoor pergola with a beautiful banksia rose. At night it was quiet, the aircon worked well and it'd be a great place for family gatherings. I found parking at the rear. It would have been good if the fence wasn't there.
- Suzanne (3/5): Poor - Location Very cluttered, towels limited and poor quality, dark and dunk
- Rae (8/5): comfortable, centrally located -
- Anonymous (10/5): great location. comfy and quaint house. parking a bit of an issue. - so quaint and beautifully furnished close to everything
- Glenn (8/5): great location - the location,5 minute walk to the train station.
5 minute walk into town the property is one space with the 2 sleeping areas screened off .they’re not actually bedrooms as you would normally expect.
couldn’t enter through the front door as front fence gate kept locked
- Evelyn (10/5): Exceptional - Filled with very cool stuff no plates and oven doesn’t work otherwise everything else was good
- Katia (4/5): Uncomfortable stay, very expensive for what you get. - Beautiful house from the front. very well located. you can walk from the house.
The host was very polite and always answering any questions. The house is ONLY beautiful from the outside. It is a shame that we can’t come into the house from the front door. Inside is only ONE room divided with whatever they have could have found to try to do a separation for beds. It looks like it was a hairdressing salon and It has been left the way it is to rent it as a house. Some of the covers are very old, thin and don’t cover the entire bed.
It does not correspond to the description where it is written « The holiday home with a terrace and city views has 2 bedrooms,… ».
No view either, no terrasse either (very tiny, no sun, dirty).
Very strong and unpleasant smell in the entire house.
We found food in the fridge, one of the sink has what it looks like vomit. The rug in the « living room » was full of crumbs.
Not enough glasses and plates either.
Very expensive for what you get. If we had paid a third of the price we won’t have complain. You get what you pay for but not in this case.
Very disappointed and feel ripped off.
- Peta (7/5): Good - The location was great for us The smell and too much furniture around
- Justine (7/5): Good -
- Thi (6/5): Pleasant - near CBD the room is not private room.
- David (5/5): Falsely advertised. - Close to centre of town. Was not 2 bedrooms as advertised, 1 large room with partitions. Not accessible through front door as we were told it wasn't safe, which upset my children.
- Beth (6/5): Pleasant - Small and basic facilities for the over inflated price.
- Esther (5/5): Passable -
- Kristan (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (10/5): Great family accommodation in the heart of the city - We had such a great time! Host was so helpful and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Everything has been well thought out to fit into this unique space. Thank you so much for everything :)
- Justin (8/5): Very good - Location was close to city centre and attractions. Property was easily accessible and clean with all required facilities. Second bedroom could have been closed in to provide kids and adults separate space at bed time but wasn't unbearable.
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (8/5): comfortable stay and good size - great location and walking distance there was not a proper bathroom
