- Olivis (8/5): This was a cute little place for a couple to stay in for a night or so - Cute little cottage, easy walk into town The bathroom was a bit small and cold

- Rachel (8/5): -

Good location, nice place to stay Storage/counter space in the bathroom.
Flickering light in main bedroom

- Brett (8/5): Definitely worth a stay in the old gaol. - History, clean, location, bed, facilities, bottle of red. Thought we were getting the accommodation in the photos on Booking.com. Ended up in the Stables. However, this accommodation is very good.
- Ksenia (8/5): Old worn charm and accessible space. - Charming period cottage in the centre of town. Close to everything. Seamless check in and out It seemed a little dusty but I think that was just the grooved timber ceilings being what they were. The open layout is charming but a little challenging when the people sharing aren’t family.
- Jodie (7/5): -
- judith (9/5): - quite comfortable relaxing clean place not alot open in the evening dinner wise
- Suzanne (10/5): Comfy, super clean, well facilitated, we’ll be back. - Cody, heating was on when we arrived. Amenities amazing and super clean. Comfy beds too. Everything you need for a comfy stay. Thank you!
- Helen (10/5): - Cosy and well appointed
- Linda (9/5): A pleasant one night stay in a unique historical property. - The property is loaded with unique character. The bedrooms are spacious and have mirrors which are so helpful for getting ready. The beds are comfortable. The location is good and off street parking is handy. A coffee table and additional end table would be useful in the living room. Be aware the door automatically locks when closed. Keep the key with you when loading and unloading luggage so you don’t accidentally lock yourself out.
- Katrina (9/5): -
- Kim (9/5): It was such a privilege to stay on such a lovely old house. The location was fabulous, easy walk to beach and shops. - Such a quaint group of houses, great location
- Johnson (10/5): -
- Cindy (10/5): -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Lovely location with all we needed to keep us warm and cosy - Cute and historical
- Glenn (5/5): Disappointing - Good location in a lovely town. Nice welcome pack The description of the property does not state that it fronts onto a road with a school opposite, and that the outside area and bedrooms look out onto these. This means that there is a lack of privacy and it can be noisy during the school day. The interior photos are different from what's there now and we found the interior gloomy with not enough lighting. Finally, the kitchen was looking tired and the bathroom is not particularly appealing (although it is accessible).
- Trine (8/5): A cute little cottage located really close to everything! - Location, comfortable bed, lots of hot water Some of the furniture could do with an update and the shower has a hospital feel to it.
- Dianne (10/5): - Fabulous cottage. We stayed in the stables which had everything you would need for a short stay. Very clean and in a great location.
- Ben (10/5): -
- Christine (8/5): - Clean and comfortable in centre of town Stairs and gate to get up and down to our room were not easy with luggage. There was no warning about access
- karim (10/5): -
- Kerry (10/5): We had a lovely time in Bicheno and the accommodation was fantastic - Location and accommodation Bathroom due to layout evertime we showered the bathroom flooded and no where to put clothes
- Elena (10/5): -
- Marton (10/5): -
- Kathy (9/5): - Great location, historical building was great to explore Nothing
- Louise (9/5): We loved our stay 😊 - Perfect location, quiet, comfortable, very clean inside. Obviously all of the dishes had been checked for cleanliness, they were spotless 😊
Very quirky bathroom setup, but felt sorry for the occupants of the cells back in the day. We enjoyed reading the history and viewing the plan of the building, very interesting. It was very difficult to close and open the curtains in the twin room because a bed was in the way.
Just one misleading piece of information, it mentions a wood fire and shows images on all websites of a fire in the fireplace. I understand why you would make it so it can’t be used, but we were a bit disappointed being country people.
- Grant (10/5): Great location and cottage - Beautifully presented heritage cottage
- Jodi (10/5): Last minute stay. Great bed, great location, everything considered. - Everything was considered.
Small but big enough. Great bed.
- Sharon (8/5): - Great location. Handy to shops and beach. Need a mirror in the main bedroom.
- ruiwen (10/5): - 非常棒的小屋子,设备一应俱全,厨房用具也非常完备~房间装饰很有特色,也很干净,室内空间很大,距离海岸很近~
- Rikki (10/5): -
- Michael (5/5): Barely passable. Cannot recommend - Paid for two bedroom accommodation and got open plan non private bedrooms with tiny lounge. Poor value for money
- Eva (9/5): - Location is great.Place has a lovely vibe The kitchen area needs a lot more light
- Mctavish (8/5): -
- Chai Eng (9/5): A beautiful heritage place in a good location in Bicheno . - Easy access to town centre and the beach and also to the highways . The twin beds are a bit too high for us . The kitchen is a bit too small to manoeuvre. Otherwise everything is excellent .
- Cassie (10/5): Great cottage. Quiet and lots of room. - It was a charming cottage as the place is heritage listed and has pictures frames with info on the place as it used to be. The bed was comfortable. Aircon and heater worked well to keep the space warm. Despite being located on the corner the place is quiet at night as the town is quiet so you only hear the very occasional car. Note that the cottage and especially the main bedroom are located on the corner with no lace curtains for privacy which means you can't open the curtains for natural light without sacrificing privacy. Would be great to have some added. Laundry facilities are also located in a separate building but a small clothesline is provided. Also, the toilet and shower rooms have very low clearance doorways of about 170cm. Not really an issue but just FYI.
- Christian (9/5): -
- D & A (10/5): - This place was right in the main street, walk to shops, cafes & the beach. We stayed in a top floor apartment with deck, barbecue & views. The kitchen & bathroom had everything we could need, even a washing machine. Very comfortable bed. Wish we had stayed longer. Definately want to come back & stay in the other properties on site ie gaol house & school house. Awesome stay ❤️
- Sera (9/5): -
- Gary (9/5): Excellent property. Great location and such a beautiful town. Would definitely recommend -
- Tanya (10/5): We loved the property. Was very clean and comfortable and close to everything. - Very quaint and comfortable. Had everything we needed. The property was very clean and beds were comfy.
Was in the perfect spot. Close to the beach and walking distance to shops.
- Liisa (10/5): One of the best Air Bnb’s we stayed in. - It had character. It was in the middle of town. The bed was really comfy. Everything we needed was there. Great laundry. Nothing
- Natalia (10/5): -
- Denise (10/5): Cute cottage in Bicheno - What a cute little cottage. We had everything we needed and location was spot on. The laundry facilities were well utilised. The potato peeler. That was the only winge from my husband, who does the cooking.
- Andrea (10/5): Highly recommended - We loved our stay in a piece of Tasmanian history. Excellent location. Well equipped. Comfortable beds.
- Carole (9/5): Interesting stay at the Goal House Cottage - Quaint and with history. Loved the original cells still in tact for the toilet and bathroom but nicely decorated and plenty of hot water for 4 of us. A few minutes walk from the local amenities. We went to Sea Life for dinner about 10 mins walk away, the food was excellent. The property is more suited to one couple and 2 children more than 2 couples. The laundry is shared and down the back of the property- but workable if you need to do washing.
- joanne (7/5): -
- Karyn (10/5): Quaint cottage set in beautiful gardens - Lovely quaint cottage with easy access
- Tamsin (8/5): - The Old School House was lovely to stay in, so quaint. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bicheno is beautiful and we enjoyed walking along the foreshore to the Lobster Shack for our dinner.
- DonnaT (10/5): Beautiful Cottage in heart of town. - Everything. Lovely cottage in the heart of town. Comfortable beds, nice towels and great products ie shampoo, bodywash etc. Access to washer and dryer if needed. Beautiful gardens. The complimentry bottle of Shiraz on offer was a lovely touch. We will recommend this stay. Nothing
- Christine (9/5): - Comfortable, clean, well located.
Clear instructions on access.
A nice ambience. Not applicable
- Ngaire (9/5): - Unique experience and quirky toilet and shower.
- Claire (7/5): Interesting property with a lot of history - Such an interesting old property with lots of character.
Comfy bed.
Well equipped guest area with laundry/dryer etc. Slightly dated furniture. Bit strange having the living room furniture in the kitchen, rather than the dining furniture
- Judith (10/5): Lovely place to stay in a good location. - Lovely place with character in a good location
- leonie (10/5): I would stay again - Location and very clean
- Philip (9/5): -
- Zhenxiang (10/5): -
- gail (10/5): So convenient to town , lovely touches like wine and pod coffee -
- Sandra (8/5): Very enjoyable - Old school house
- Nicholas (8/5): Very relaxing stay at a lovely location - Excellent location in a lovely seaside town. Clean and comfortable The lighting was rather harsh - a few lamps would help. Not the most comfortable sofa
- Paul (9/5): Excellent but not quite perfect - Beautifully furnished with everything you could want. Large and luminous. The shower toiletries had no stand and were hanging in a basket from the shower head. Impossible to use as they were Also no gee te ab rail in the shower. An accident waiting to happen.
- John (9/5): -
- Yang-Li (8/5): - Small kitchen to heat up some food. Not for big cooking.
Convenient location to the Main Street.
Clean. Well maintained garden. It’s a tad small but that’s to be expected given the age of the cottage.
- Tamika (10/5): If you love some heritage and history in a comfy place close to everything on the east coast, then this is perfect. - Beautiful piece of history close to everything!
- Heather (10/5): - Most things.
It was a great cottage. The lack of sound proofing.
Neighbours etc were very noisy and the sound was not filtered well due to single glazing.
Not good for light sleepers
- Stephen (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at the Gaol house and would recommend it for your stay - Good location close to all facilities in the town.
Clean and tidy The only thing was the squeaky floor boards but tha added caricature to the house
- Santosh (10/5): - well thought clean and comfortable
- Carolyn (9/5): Really comfortable for 3 adults. - Great location close to Waub’s Bay, restaurants, penguin tours. Cute historic cottage. Lovely grounds. My 6” plus companions had a couple of interactions with the low doorways.
The kitchenette is not really big enough for cooking properly but quite adequate for making a salad or sandwich.
- Scott (7/5): Location was great & the hosts were very accommodating. - There was no mention of the narrow staircase leading up to the apartment.
The elderly or someone with mobility issues may find accessing the apartment difficult.
- Melanie (10/5): Cosy Cottage in great location - Great little cosy cottage. Warm and welcoming in a great location. We booked last minute and was sent a confirmation saying follow up email would arrive with lockbox code. However it did not arrive and the host phone went to voicemail. We went to local pub where it was all sorted out within an hour.
Also shower has drainage issues.
- Natalie (10/5): Cute copy cottage - How well presented the cottage was,how receptive Sue was to any enquiries and how cozy the cottage was. The full kitchen really helped out as well. The arm chair was not overly comfortable.
- ANDY (8/5): -
- David (10/5): Unique property - This is a wonderful property. It is great for families, with a living room and a dining room. and two large bedrooms. The highlight is the two cells as a shower and a toilet. The gardens were nice to sit in and there was a free washing machine. The location is very good, and the sea and shops are within walking distance.
- Karen (9/5): Cute School House - As a teacher, I loved the history and look of the School House Cottage. It was very cute and comfortable for me and my 2 daughters. The wine on arrival waa a nice touch. Laundry facilities were much appreciated. It was walking distance to shops and the beach, I would definately try to stay there if I ever visit again. The wifi didn't work and it would have been great to have netflix or youtube considering the rain and price. The wine was nice, but would have been better if it was Tasmanian.
- Alain (10/5): - Les voisins qui vivaient la avec des enfants faisaient beaucoup de bruit
- Artem (10/5): - Cute, charming and spacious stay. Lovely garden views
- Amanda (9/5): Beautiful accommodation - highly recommend! - Great location, easy walk to the shops, blowhole etc. Beautiful flowers and outdoor picnic benches surrounding accommodation. My parents (in their 70s) stayed in The Stables & we stayed in The Eyre (loft above another building). The accommodation had everything you needed & lots of thoughtful touches (thank you for the wine!). The owner Sue called and messaged prior to arrival with all information needed. Highly recommend & exceeded our expectations. Thank you. Only slight comment is to add a curtain rail over door inside as the light came in (The Eyre loft room). Not suitable for anyone struggling with fitness / stairs, as steep flight of stairs to enter room.
- Heidi (7/5): House in a great location but needs a bit of s spruce up (especially the window furnishings). Photo shows bed upstairs a - Great location. The insufficient window furnishings mean 5am wakeups in summer! Same for all the three beds in the house unfortunately. Kitchen was very basic.
- Anthony (8/5): Great place to unwind, everything you need. - Was as described, location, space, ambiance, facilities. TV took a while to warm up, channels to work, mirror short for taller people.
- Nga (10/5): -
- Loriana (8/5): Lovely location great little town - Great location and good facilites Stairs weren’t much fun but not a major issue
- Demarco (10/5): -
- Bev (9/5): - Very different place to stay, loved the quirkiness of staying in such an old house. The history of it was welcome. Comfortable, clean, 2 minutes walk into town. The toilet seat tended to move when being used, startled us more than once.
- Nikita (9/5): - Awesome location, great character accomodation with everything you need and BEAUTIFUL gardens! Not enough towels for the number of people we booked for.
- Laelia (10/5): - Comfortable cottage in a spectacular location The stainless steel frypan on the electric stovetop
