- Sheren (8/5): Beautiful cottage close to the amenities and the city. Our wee doggo was also comfortable. Would highly recommend specia -
- wendy (7/5): - Facilities and position. Uneven wonky floorboards felt like you were walking around a boat, vertigo. Not suitable for elderly people no handrails toilet no walk in shower low beds and chairs
- Irene (7/5): It was a great stay - thank you - It was very comfortable The bbq wasn’t working
However we managed a work around
- Pauline (9/5): -
- Dan (7/5): It was a good stay I slept into 9 am and had a lot to move as I’m in the middle of a move from SA to Melbourne and was i - It’s a good b&b and has the basics I don’t think the floor in the main bed room is safe at all and I stayed there 2 months prior and it was a rapid change. There are previous concerns raised the flooring. I mentioned this to the owner via message and had no response a couple hours later my partner and a friend saw that the cottage was free at Christmas so I messaged the owner directly and in no way to describe it I was told to find something else. No feedback why and I have not replied. I did put a comment on the messages on booking .com. I think I bumped into him on the Friday night and that’s all I said. Can I have someone contact me please. If there was something said or done I can’t correct my behaviour or others if it’s not fed back maturely. Sorry don’t know where else to put it.
- Vicki (7/5): - Felt cosy and very nice little house Floors uneven
- Natasha (9/5): -
- Chris (9/5): Excellent - Located in an easy to find spot
- Natalie (5/5): Would stay again - Nice cute property, the bed was comfortable and so was the couch.
Great kitchen Bit of a smell and no fly screens to get fresh air in which was unfortunate
- Kelsea (10/5): -
- Christa (7/5): - The privacy.
- Peterson (10/5): - Location, price, very clean. No front security door.
Other than that, it was great
- Narelle (10/5): A lovely little comfortable cottage. - Cosy and comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Kitchen and bathroom are well fitted out. A lovely little cottage.
- Nicci (7/5): - The location was great. It was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good. It was very cold and badly in need of insulation, door snakes, winter doonas and perhaps an electric blanket on the second bed. (State government reductions for insulation start next year so costs will be reduced). This would certainly save on your energy bills as guests would not have to have the heater on for hours on end.
- Meryle (10/5): loved our stay. - The location was great, the property was easy to find. great communication with the hosts. all was great, no issues to report.
- Janeen (10/5): -
- Ravinder singh (10/5): -
- Lorraine (7/5): Needs to be warmer - Cute little cottage Quite cold with a large gap under front door, 1 bed was missing electric blanket. It was quite cold on entry - heater could have been put on. Toilet & bathroom are at the back and cold. Not enough room on lounge suite . Contacted owners they said no one has complained but that’s not true
- Kate (7/5): Ok. - The property was perfect for our stay. It was comfortable, had a spacious kitchen and everything we needed. There was no access to our subscribed TV channels. I made enquiries with the owner of the property of which everything we were advised to do we did with still no access the subscribed channels. The owner stated they were away overseas for two weeks otherwise they would assist. My last message stated I was disappointed as we had teenaged children of who liked to watch the subscribed channels. I did not receive a response. I can only suggest that there is someone who could assist with these matters when the owner is overseas or away.
The cleanliness of the property was generally good however, the bath did not appear very clean (may need a good scrub) so although wanting to have a bath I did not.
- Rhiannon (10/5): Perfect location, great views & comfortable beds. - Great location, excellent response from host. Nothing. Will definitely be booking again when in Bendigo.
- Cresp (8/5): Very good - Cosy feel
- Leni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (8/5): It was perfect for my mum and I to stay in. - It was beautifully presented, nice and clean and comfortable beds. Very nice amenities, lovely warm shower. Has wifi, and good heating with two split systems that warmed the cottage nicely (we stayed mid winter!). We only stayed one night but would be perfect for a longer stay as is very comfortable. The only minor thing is a gap under the front door which was easily fixed by rolling a blanket to stop the draft coming in.
- Robin (10/5): We stayed the two nights awaiting to move into our new home, which was just five minutes from Peel,Cottage - Very comfortable, clean and well located.. Nothing I could see
- Jodie (7/5): Good -
- Wendy (8/5): A little cold - Location comfortable beds and clean Drafts from both back and front doors, one bed no electric blanket, spare blankets would be great
- D (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (7/5): Good - Quiet location Worst couch I’ve ever sat on.
Tv remote only partially working.
No tissues or soap supplied.
- Holly (10/5): It was a very lovely and comfortable stay! -
- Lois (8/5): Lovely cosy cottage perfect for two women wanting separate bedrooms. - Nicely renovated, everything we needed for a short stay in Bendigo. Off street parking was good. Better pillows would be nice. Coffee pods didn't work in the Nespresso.

- Ross (4/5): Disappointing -
- Xerri (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Everything clean and tidy. Enjoyed the stay. Tv takes a little working out. A safety handle in the shower / bath would be ideal for your older visitors.
- Rotem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luandi (7/5): Good location, great area, has good facilities just needs a good deep clean - Good location, cute cottage Needs a good deep clean.. bathroom, floors, couch, kitchen pantry.. beds aren’t very comfortable either. Front door lock needs replacing as not very secure.

Tv remote was flat battery
- Justin (8/5): Beautiful little cottage presented well - good value for money and close to town - Beautiful little cottage close to town. Rooms clean and added touch of coffee machine. They had the heaters and lights on ready for us which was lovely. The cottage was presented well but the shower wasn't cleaned properly with black mould. The rest of the bathroom was clean and property was presented well.
- Dwk (10/5): Pleasant quaint, quiet comfy little cottage and doggy friendly - Comfy beds with stylish linen and cushions
Lovely decor
Great washing machine
Didn’t use cooker
Great shower
Dog friendly A good outdoor blower wouldn’t hurt and a new outdoor setting scared to use table incase glass fell through
- Kiko (9/5): Superb -
- Hayley (4/5): Not great - Pet friendly. The property is very unclean. There are mounds of dust in the corner of each room, there are stains all over the mattress protectors and mattresses. Ants are crawling all over the kitchen and when I used a wet wipe to clean up a spill on the floor, the wipe came up black. It was hard to feel comfortable in the space. Not the standard you expect when paying $200 for a night.
- Annette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Coon (8/5): Very good -
- Zetter (8/5): We were called up to Bendigo with a few hours notice, so nice to stay somewhere quiet and pleasant - Inside and outside were clean and presentable. Kitchen had coffee machine and all other facilities needed if cooking. Outside backyard area had table and chairs and bbq. Milk and cold water in fridge. Reverse cycle in kitchen and lounge.
Pleasant to stay there. Pillows were very flat and no spares to use.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Celeste (10/5): Such a lovely stay! - Such a cute cottage!
Two air conditioners really helped relieve us from the heat.
Comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom.
Fully secure back yard, perfect for our furbabies.

- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Rob (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Betty (3/5): Still enjoyed the stay. Would have been better if these were attended to. - Dirty BBQ only 1burner working. Problems lighting gas stove . No microwave cookware , no potato masher, no broom or dust pan.
- Megan (8/5): Very good -
- Clare (1/5): Bad - location Filthy bath/shower & everything was grubby. Poor quality sheets & doona.
- Ronalde (5/5): Need to drive to attractions from this location, a basic stay overall. - Comfy beds with electric blankets. split system provided in kitchen (though not mentioned in the description). Would have liked to have had some basics in the kitchen (oil, salt, pepper etc). garden was uncared for; BBQ was not cleaned. sitting on steel kitchen chairs was cold and uncomfortable.
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - The view TV
Power Points not enough
- Dennis (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jules (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (8/5): Cottage with modern kitchen and bathroom - Spacious and modern kitchen / dining area, and renovated bathroom / laundry with washing machine and dryer. Cottage kept clean. Labelling of cupboards was useful. Quiet location at the end of Peel Street and easy access to the property. Good WiFi. We found the bedrooms cold as although the heaters in the kitchen and living room worked well in local areas, they struggled to warm up the bedrooms during the cold winter nights. The laundry, toilet and bathroom were located at the back of the house and was a step lower than the front of the house.
- Nick (8/5): Nice relaxing couple of days, house is comfy and east to settle in as a home away from home - Nice location close enough to the town centre Streetlights very bright at night, would’ve liked blockout blinds to make sleep better, tv remote batteries flat
- Angela (6/5): Pleasant -
- Reeves (9/5): Comfortable little house - Cute little cottage with everything we wanted
- Vu (9/5): Superb -
- Kylie (7/5): Quaint cottage in need of some extra love - A quaint cottage in a good location across from a primary school. Very quiet and nicely decorated.
Good if you have a car.
The manager of the property, Anthony, was a very good communicator and responsive.
Early access to the property was appreciated. As one who has travelled extensively there were quite a few things which I found disappointing.
First and foremost the cottage desperately needs a really good deep clean.
We found dirty cups in the cupboard, dirt underneath the rubbish bin inside a cupboard and greasy grime on the shutters in the kitchen.
The dishwasher was broken and full of old dirty water which we notified the manager of the property about. He was very quick to respond, however it did mean that we couldn’t use the dishwasher while we were there.
The front bedroom smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke so we slept in the second bedroom.
The couch in the living area is quite simply the most uncomfortable couch I’ve ever had the misfortune of sitting on.
The shower is over the bath and there are various trip hazards throughout the property and both bedrooms are on an angle which is to be expected from an old cottage. Neither were a problem for us but worth noting especially if you have mobility issues.
As a self catering place I would like to have had some basics like oil, salt and pepper as there were none.
There were some teabags and coffee pods and the milk was appreciated.
- Dmitrii (1/5): Terrible experience. - We arrived very late on Friday night and the first thing we faced was a strong smell of cigarettes. Beds were not fresh. Black hair everywhere including bathroom. We’ve contacted the property next morning, but they couldn’t send anyone to help out. They advised to find another option to stay in, but as there was a big soccer tournament over the weekend everything that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg was booked out. We ended up buying sheets in Kmart and putting them on top of the existing ones.
The house itself is old and squeaky. There is a cemetery next door.
- Kerri (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable would have loved to stay forever - Loved the property beautiful home very comfortable and relaxing The only thing I didn’t like was that it wasn’t the cleanest I found cut toe nails under my bedside table and overall the place just needed a really good clean from top to bottom
- Sandy (7/5): Sandy from Melbourne - The bedrooms were well equipped and beds were comfortable. The kitchen/dining was spacious. The bathroom was clean and had lots of natural light and good heating. The chaise lounge in the tv room was quite uncomfortable. The kitchen lacked the basics, eg. Salt, pepper, paper towels. The shower head was great but because it was over the deep bath, it was very awkward and slippery to get into without hand rails. There was no shampoo & conditioner & shower caps. The step down into the bathroom & laundry area was quite dangerous especially at night time. Perhaps it needs an illuminated warning strip.
- Sirus211 (8/5): Very good -
