Guest Reviews

- Kate (9/5): We really enjoyed our time in Bijagua and are really pleased that we included it in our trip to Cost - The accommodation has everything that you need. It is in a lovely setting and very conveniently placed for access to local attractions plus walkable into town
Diego is a fantastic host. Some bigger mugs for coffee/ tea as there were only small cups 👍
- Ueli (10/5): Supernice host! Perfect location -
- Yuri (10/5): -
Supernetter Gastgeber.

- WEIHONG (10/5): -
- Lawrence (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (7/5): Good. If the condition of the property was improved it would have been great. - The host was great, as was the garden and location. The beds were comfortable. Property was disappointing, old and needs attention.
- Sara (8/5): We were good, close restaurants - Location, general facilities Noise no roof
- Philippe (7/5): Good -
- Vittorio (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): We were very happy with the owner Diego. He was very friendly and accommodating. The trees and flown - Breakfast is not included, but a full kitchen made it possible for us to prepare our coffee and a simple breakfast in the room. It was nice not to have to leave for that first cup of coffee! Our beds were very comfortable.
For appreciating the beauty of the area, the location was excellent, with a lush garden that attracted many birds- a particular interest of ours-and there was a very good restaurant 100 meters away.
Sitting on the veranda and drinking coffee and watching the birds and the clouds was excellent. The house was also very close to most of the tours in the area and less than a 15 minutes' drive to Rio Celeste. A booklet of the attractions and nearby restaurants would be a help for first time visitors. The value for the price was outstanding. The seats, both inside the house and out, were not at all comfortable except for two chairs outside. The hammock was a nice touch, however.
- Snir (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stephen (10/5): Very clean comfortable place for my small family - The owner picked me up from bus stop All was excellent
- Jurriaan (9/5): Kind hosts with a good apartment! - The host was very kind and gave a great tour through his garden. Apartment met the expectations There is a kitchen but it can be difficult to cook a full meal there.
- Galya (8/5): Very good -
- Domenic (10/5): private house with a garden in a beautiful small town - nice private house that felt like a cabin. there was a garden out front with red blue Jean frogs hopping around. also heard howler monkeys in the morning and at night. everyone was super helpful and friendly. it didn’t bother me, but there were a lot of bugs, which might bother some people. it’s part of staying so near the jungle.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Ildikó (10/5): Exceptional - PrettY, beautiful surroundings, nice garden, perfect equipment. very kind hosts. And Toti is his lovely dog😊
- Angel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mathilde (6/5): Nice place to stay for one night, it was clean. You have everything you need to cook easy meals. I won’t recommend to st - Well located in the Center of Bijagua, easy access to restaurants, supermarkets. It was clean.
- Pedro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Le (8/5): Very good - The host was very welcoming, nice and easy going. He showed us around in the beautiful garden.
The house and the rooms were very clean.
It is in walking distance to super markets, coffee houses and restaurants and a great starting point to visit the national park.
We were grateful for having the possibility to stay there. Thank you very much.
- Danielle (9/5): Superb -
- Nathalie (10/5): Perfect little hideaway a short drive to Tenorio, friendly clean and comfortable - Fabulous little house with all the facilities you need. Simple but cosy and feeling comfortable and homely. Diego and his wife are wonderful kind hosts who assisted us in many ways. We can't recommend them enough. The house is right on one edge of town near all the shops and a couple of bars restaurants and very easy access to the Volcan Tenorio. Off road parking was useful too. N/a
- Scott (8/5): Simple, cute, peaceful, good-value place to stay for up to four people. - Quiet street, walkable to restaurants and stores in Bijagua. Close to PN Volcan Tenorio and Rio Celeste hike. Nice secure parking. Host Diego was very friendly and helpful, with recommendations for local hiking (Cataratas Bijagua) and where to eat (casados at El Barrigon). Good wi-fi, comfortable beds. Nice front-yard garden. Bathroom and kitchen could have been cleaner (some cobwebs). Kitchen had paper towels only, would be better with a cloth hand/dish towel. Some night noise of barking dogs and trucks on highway one block away--but not a problem sleeping with earplugs.
- Baptiste (9/5): Superb -
- Marika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maricela (7/5): Good -
- Sebastian (8/5): Very good -
- Sonerselim (10/5): Excellent. - Very beautiful place with a rich flora. The host Diego is very welcoming and friendly. He grows banana, coco, cacao, coffee...very well kept place.
- Rosa (8/5): Very good -
- Akiva (8/5): Very good - The hosts are amazing. They gave us wine to celebrate our honeymoon and were very warm and welcoming!
The kitchen is well equipped and the location is good for visiting the nearby parks. Cracks under the doors let the bugs in. The furniture is a little old and dusty. Shower is electric and was only warm enough when the water pressure was very low.
- Margaret (6/5): Pleasant - Nice area, hosts very helpful and we’re willing to dry clothes for us, beautiful garden Seemed a little dusty. The host also requested more money than what was stated on my reservation online.
