Guest Reviews
- Nicholas (8/5): Diamond in the rough... great bang for your buck for a cheap weekend holiday away. Dog loved it - Nice place for its price. Had a quiet getaway with my partner and puppy here over the weekend and it was lovely. Quick walk to the beach and shops. Around the corner from the dog park and short drive top the dog beach. Completely fenced off prperty was perfect for the dog but a doggy door would make it 5/5 stars. I absolutely love the hot water pressure in the shower... old school. Doggy door would be lovely
Heaters take a while to heat up
Piano need tuning or I've lost my touch lol
- Kerri (3/5): Golf was great. - Cleanliness and location were great. It was a dump, the front door knob wouldn't work, couldn't run the kettle and toaster together, it blew the fuse every time. No tea towels or cloths to clean the premises as expected. The BBQ was a joke we left it cleaner than it was. Power points all loaded with power boards, not good. Toilet couldn't be flushed 15 mins after the first flush, so that proved a problem given the proximity of the toilet to the kitchen/eating area. The kettle itself was disgusting, so tarnished, seriously these things are $20 in KMart. Vacuum cleaner was not plugged in so couldn't vacuum upon exiting the premises.
- Kathryn (1/5): Overpriced, dangerous, and uncomfortable. - I usually have a positive outlook and hate complainers however we have just completed 15 nights at this property and I am greatly concerned about the the condition of this rental and its non compliance to safety and comfort. The cost of these premises was far too much for what you got.
- There is no working fire alarm in the premises.
- The hand rail on the front porch was so loose it was a danger.
- If you used one kitchen appliance, the washing machine and the kitchen light you tripped the fuse and had to reset it. Why are lights and outlets on the one circuit?
- the power point near the black lounge occasionally had an electrical "buzz". Like sparking. This was not consistent. Sometimes there, otherwise not.
- The arms on the black lounge were so loose you couldn't use them to get out of the seat. As I have a back injury it took me some effort , all the time worrying about breaking the furniture.
- The gates were so heavy that I struggled to open and close them. The bottom hinge on the left side (looking from the street) has broken which affects the closure so the secure dog friendly yard was not so secure.
- There is an ant infestation in the kitchen. On four occasions we came back to find the kitchen overrun with ants.
- The two big beds were very uncomfortable. To solve this would simply require a good mattress topper for each.
- neither of the lounges were comfortable. It would have been nice to relax in comfort.
- the responsibility for the garbage was understandable however on both weeks we were there one of the neighbours filled up the garbage before we had a chance to put ours in. Due to the heavy gate we only had it shut while the dog was in residence.
We stayed here because it was a dog friendly accommodation. We appreciated this as we are travelling with our canine. If we could have relocated without losing $3000 we would have walked out the first day. Is it a beach shack? Not really. It was a 17 minute walk to the beach.
- Melinda (7/5): Convenient but basic accommodation - Very basic accommodation but clean. No air conditioning
- Kathleen (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our time. - The property had all the basic necessities and we really appreciated the cupboard of board games. The location was excellent, close to everything.
- Carrol (6/5): Pleasant - The peace and quiet There were no working smoke detectors not enough power points in bedrooms
- Leivi (1/5): Bad - Smelly, mouldy, children coughing due to bad sme. left Neft morning. Didn’t stay for three nights
