Guest Reviews
- Derek (10/5): Lovely cottage in beautiful rural area. - Beautiful environment
- Cathy (10/5): Great location for us. Comfortable and spacious cottages. Loved the bird life too. - The two cottages were well equipped and spacious. It was lovely to have some of their own farmed eggs and local bacon for breakfast! The hots were very accommodating (we had a very late arrival due to flight delays). Fantastic bird life too! We would highly recommend staying at the Milford Country Cottages. na
- Catharina (10/5): Comfortable, peaceful escape - Spotlessly clean. Great facilities. Very comfortable
- KERRI (10/5): A peaceful getaway - Beautiful setting, great outlook, peaceful, convenient to town and other attractions. Nothing.
- Anonymous (10/5): The cottage and setting were absolutely delightful. The views were stunning and was very peaceful. - The cottage and setting were absolutely delightful. The views were stunning. It was so peaceful.
- Julia (10/5): Excellent boutique accommodation in a picturesque location & friendly hosts. - A lovely cottage in the country, beautifully decorated and well maintained with hospitable, friendly hosts. All the little homely touches were lovely & appreciated. I can highly recommend our stay, it was very private & relaxing. The farm itself is picturesque with lots of interesting landscaping displays. We would certainly stay again while in the area. Just a couple of minor things to note, there's no clothes dryer in the cottage which may effect a longer stay if the weather isn't good, there's a large clothes line outside. Although it worked well the shower rose is the older type & not a hand shower often favoured by those with younger children.
- Brooke (10/5): Wonderful place to relax and take in the scenery, taking kids back to a simple life with no internet/ipads etc. - The grounds are spectacular and so well planned out and managed by Lyn and John.
Plenty of lovely places to sit, relax, have a BBQ, camp fires and watch the sunset.
The kids had a great time with the swing set, small playground and the tree house. Patting the Horse and Pony and feeding them carrots was a highlight!
- Boss (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kym (10/5): We’ll be back! The homeliness of the cottages provided great comfort. - Everything from the welcoming hosts, the cleanliness of the cottage, the welcome pack of local bacon & eggs, a bottle of wine and chocolates to enjoy, the comfort of the beds, the peace and quiet, the joy of the birdsong, the colours of the sunset, the starry night and the sound of rainfall on a tin roof. Breakfast and dinner on the balcony and enjoyed the aircon inside. All experienced over two nights. Very refreshing. Could the frying pans be checked in case the Teflon coating needs replacing.
- Jessica (10/5): A gorgeous place to disconnect and just be present - Lynn and John are absolutely wonderful hosts. Nothing was too hard for them during our stay. Our kids are afraid of animals, so they secured their two dogs while we walked the kids around and got them used to the environment. They helped us feed the horse and pony and let us meet their chickens. They even shared their grandkids toys and play spaces with us. It was such a relaxing environment and really felt like we had been invited into their home. The insider knowledge of where to go for breakfast and to explore the local produce was exceptional. For those travelling with small kids, the cottages are full or gorgeous kitsch trinkets. They create the atmosphere, but needed to be put up and away to stop the kids knocking them over or wanting to play with them. There is no public transport in the area, so you have to have your own way of getting around.
- Sarahgen (10/5): Short stay at the cottages - The cottages were fantastically homey, you can tell a lot of effort and love has gone into these places as well as the surrounds. Everyone was super accommodating and the place was comfortable and had everything you'd think to want or need. They even had local products for us when we arrived. The setting is fantastic and quiet for a city escape.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - great location, very nice hosts
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful spot for a couple of days away to relax, rejuvenate and explore. - The cottage was perfect for a mini getaway - everything we needed including a fabulous fire. It was a lovely location, close to town and set on a beautiful property. John and Lynne left local bacon and eggs in the fridge for breakfast - so good - we had to buy some before we left to take home. We went at the beginning of the week - next time we will go towards the end as many of the local places of interest weren't open until later in the week.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - The country location and peace and quiet
- Boss (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harriett (7/5): A lovely location, with scenic views. A little dated but is part of the charm if you’re looking for this in a cottage. W - Lovely scenery with nice views Would expect that drinking water was accessible or at the very least, we were notified ahead of arriving so that we could purchase a few bottles of water ourselves. This was really disappointing.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - It was a beautifully quiet and relaxing few days. Lynn and John were the perfect hosts. The cottage was spotlessly clean with comfy beds and had everything we needed, We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs and appreciated the extra goodies, which included a bottle of wine and Easter eggs.
- Mary (10/5): Our stay was relaxing, completely satisfying. - The breakfast was delicious. The cottage was beautifully decorated with a homely feel and so comfortable.
The hosts were exceptional. Loved sitting on the porch looking out over the property and watching the kangaroos and hares as well as the horses and cattle. A very relaxing place to stay. I highly recommend it. I can think of nothing not to like , it was perfect.
- Shravan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Very happy with it. - It was exactly what we expected. Hosts are super nice.

- Ruth (10/5): Perfect Location and Perfect Hosts - The cottage was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean - the property was also very well maintained and had stunning scenery - a totally relaxing break for myself and the rest of our family.
- Soundar (7/5): Good -
- Johte (10/5): Just what the Dr ordered - It was the little things that made our stay extra special. Like the local bacon and fresh eggs in the fridge. The fire place set up outside so we could toast marshmallows. The kids being invited by the hosts to get involved with feeding the farm animals.
The location was just what we needed, peace and quiet. The cabin was beautiful and clean and the beds were lovely and comfy.
Highly recommend this property! Wish we could have stayed longer.
- Alison (10/5): Excellant - Beautiful location and lovely hosts made us most welcome and very informative
- Marina (8/5): Very good - Fresh farm eggs and smoked bacon in the fridge were delicious. Great bottle of red provided to have near the warm fire at night. The space is very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children, especially during Winter. Quiet farm environment with horses and a resident echidna (very cute). Well positioned to access day walks around the Scenic Rim. The beds are comfortable but squeaky (but the kids like it!).
- Grace (10/5): An excellent property, lovely host. Will ret -
- Barbara (8/5): Very good -
- Brad (10/5): Will go back again to this gorgeous little holiday stay we enjoyed it so much thanks Lynn and John - We enjoyed the Rose Cottage very inviting when you opened the door with the fire going for us Lovely to receive wine chocolates and very clean with accessories to use
- Bernie (9/5): Our hosts were very welcoming. The house was like a home - exceptional! Thanks to Lyn and John! - Wonderful owners. Great home in secluded location. Lack of TV channels is due to limited NBN - issue for the government!
- Anne-maree (10/5): Great hosts and a spotless cottage in a lovely rural setting. - Lyn was in contact prior to our arrival and greeted us. She had milk, bacon and eggs waiting in the fridge and a bottle of red wine. The cottage was immaculate - the timber floors sparking and not a spec of dust.
- Joanne (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -

- Tasha (10/5): Beautiful location and gracious hosts. - Absolutely stunning scenery. Very gracious and generous hosts. Fun family stay. The children loved feeding the horse, chickens and cows. Very quiet location.
- Dunia (8/5): Very good - We stayed in bottle tree cottage. Kitchen and fridge were great. Shower in bathroom had good pressure. Animals on the property were super friendly. Loved patting the horse and doggo. Check in and out was easy. Owners very helpful and even provided fresh eggs, bacon and wine. Great place to stay and we also enjoyed seeing kangaroos from our windows. There are lots of little insects in the countryside. Fortunately the rose themed bedroom which we stayed in comes with netting which covers the entire bed, and stops any from getting on to you.
- Karen (10/5): Lovely stay in the country - Great getaway. Very private and quiet. Lovely home with countryside all around. Enjoyed our stay very much. Owners were very helpful and friendly.
- Dee (10/5): We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the cottage , spectacular views and tranquility of the country exceptional. Lyn and J - Milford Country Cottages are situated in a very picturesque part of the Scenic Rim , the views are exceptional. Lyn and John are extremely friendly and helpful . The cottage is well appointed and caters for your every need . Nothing to complain about
