Guest Reviews
- Alice (8/5): We loved our stay, very cosy with the fire place and perfect for our pup! - Great yard for our little cavoodle! She loved running around! We loved the fire place! Would have loved fire wood and kindling being provided but wasn’t a huge issue, we just went out and bought some.
- Christine (6/5): Disappointing and not what was advertised unfortunately - Where do I start?
What was I expecting for $445 per night?
House was easy to find however I had to message Kelly the owner an hour before check in as I hadn’t received any check in details which is odd and not a great start compounded by the fact I ask Kelly if there was enough fire wood and she said I had to buy my own.
Ok see heading of property
Cosy house with fire pit!!!
But no wood.
Kelly said she would reimburse me $40 (in a text message) which hasn’t happened and made comment that by the time she paid electricity gas and land tax there’s not much left. I happened to spend $79 on wood/firelighters/kindle etc and didn’t even use the fire pit as we would of needed more wood than just using the fire.
Noting that Kelly sold this property in May this year for a sizeable sum but is charging premium price for an old home.
We arrived, the home was old but clean inside….. Until we opened the fridge. Lots of things in there. Opened the freezer. Same. Opened the food cupboard. Same.
It looked like someone lived there especially when you open the other kitchen cupboards which were a mess. This was very disappointing. Not what you would expect for $445 per night.
The bed in the master bedroom wasn’t made when I arrived, I made myself. with ordinary bed linen. This bed is a disaster as mentioned in numerous reviews. My back was very sore after the first night. Back door same mentioned over 2 years ago in reviews, not fixed, cobwebs on windows etc.
Definitely not what I was expecting.
Having our dogs there was a plus and a positive.
The location was fine for us as we were happy to walk/drive as needed.
All in all, might be good for some but for a premium price, certainly less than average. As above.
So disappointing after have a few days off work to relax and was far from what I would expect.
If someone lives at the property normally, that’s fine but should be disclosed as the cupboards were a mess and the property not well maintained. Maybe because she’s sold it recently.

- Melissa (10/5): Friendly, cosy and a great place to stay. - Great location, quiet, spacious and has two living areas. Heaps of games and stuff to keep the kids happy but also super comfy. And the host was awesome. Really friendly, making the stay feel even better. Nothing!
- Rebecca (10/5): A warm welcoming home. - The property was located in a quiet area of Portsea and still close to Sorrento. The house was spotless clean with all amenities needed. The beds were very comfortable. Fantastic for families or a couple. Open fireplace inside and a fire pit located outside. The host's communication was absolutely amazing. Thank you for having us stay. Totally recommend

- Sinead (9/5): A very cosy getaway from the city! - Kelly was great to deal with! The place has everything you need for a lovely weekend away. Such a beautiful beach just a couple of minutes up the road. Fire pit is such a great touch for the chilly winter night! Beds were very comfortable and the bed linen was wonderful too!!

- Shae (10/5): beautiful property, great location & wonderful host 5 ⭐️ - everything, the most lovely host, everything is there, all the cooking staples you need a smart TV in main lounge room would be nice but that’s it
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent property with everything you need for a family stay. Superb location for getting around Portsea, Sorrento and further in to the Mornington Peninsula.
The hosts were very accommodating providing lots of extra information about the surrounding area.

- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (8/5): gorgeous in every way. - loved the cottage and the location was amazing! I didn't love the super soft bed in the master, but happily the guest bed was lovely and firm so the house really caters to all preferences. And the bedding is heaven - hotel standards.
- Audrey (7/5): Property was adequate for our needs, plenty of room. - Ample space
For a family - lots of toys - books - games door to entry needs fixing - kept falling off runners
spider webs around windows / external doors & gates
ants coming in room vent
- Mimmiiaa (9/5): Lovely short break - Clean cosy house with excellent amenities and everything you might need for entertainment, games, beach trip, cooking, washing and even snacks, water and basic food left in case you didn't bring any.
Kelly is an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. Mattresses and pillows very soft in the master bedroom, but that's a very personal preference. Nothing that affects the overall comfort in Kelly's place.
- Jeanette (9/5): Superb - All good except bed Bed
- Raymond (9/5): Superb - The house is huge, cosy and clean with a lot of amenities provided. Kelly ensured that the place is kids friendly, she even reached out way before the stay to find out the kids' age group in order to cater the necessities. She also provided us with additional heaters to make sure we are warm during the cold and rainy weather. The location is far from the attractions which we planned for the trip, but at the same time, we enjoyed the serenity of the place.
- Blaise (10/5): very comfortable, relaxed and great location - Host was very easy to contact and quick to answer any questions. They were also really relaxed and gave us some great tips on things to do in the area. Also very generous on check in and check out times. Thanks for helping us have a great couple of days away. nothing

- Geoffrey (9/5): Excellent - The house provided us with all wee needed for our weekend away, comfortable, well stocked with everything form kitchen to games and outside activity. It is in a great location in between the back beach and the town centre. Easy walk into town or beach.
