- David (1/5): Mouse poo and mould - Next door to the hotel. Villas have potential to be good if cleaned and maintained. All villas vacant during our stay in peak school holiday period. Mouse poo in kitchen and on beds including a pillow. Large mouse sighted in kitchen. Prevalence of mould on walls and spider webs indicates a fairly minimal approach to cleaning. Offsite manager didn’t respond to negative feedback.

- Lesley (5/5): We loved Walpole but felt that the facilities need an overhaul. - The location is lovely and the layout of the villa is great for a small family. The villa is in need of an upgrade as many aspects are dated, damaged or not the cleanest they could be.

Messages were responded to promptly and communication regarding the lock box code and directions to the villa was clear. The shower curtain needs replacing as it was dirty at the bottom. The villa we rented could do with a makeover - a repaint, and new window furnishings.

- Bill (5/5): Great location but needs cleaning / maintenance. - The property is in a great location - close to the centre of Walpole and easy to get to the shops, hotel and everything else. The villa we stayed in was in need of maintenance - painting of door frames which were scratched and damaged, removal of mould from shower recess grout and throughout the bathroom and a thorough clean to remove spider webs, stains on upholstery and similar issues.

- Kevin (4/5): Wouldn’t reccomend but alright for one night but was too expensive for what we actually got. The staff were basically no - The beds were clean and pillows were comfortable to sleep on. It was near a lovely jetty and beautiful surrounding scenery. We also got bug spray to deal with the insects. Immediately walking to the property, we were greeted with a lingering horrid strong musky smell ants crawling on the lockbox to the key, a grasshopper inside the house, lots of insects (crickets, mosquitos and spiders) and cobwebs everywhere. Curtains had black residue staining the surface and bathroom was mouldy. The cooking supplies were kept unwell and pricing was too expensive for what we got. In need of maintenance.

WiFi was hit and miss, no gas for the decrepit bbq, no Teflon on the fry pan, ended up eating out. Called and messaged the property manager. Rang before closing time but told it was out of hours. Messages the mobile number provided, no response. Told we couldn’t check in before 2 for the cleaners to prepare the property - not sure what was being prepared. We took overseas relatives here and it was nothing short of embarrassing

- Jimmy (10/5): Exceptional accommodation - Big space ,clean .Close to the beach , nice and quite at the night. Out driveway had at the back end a pole so it was a bit difficult to reverse the car due to the pole but it was not a big issue.

- Aida (1/5): Una pesadilla - Un buen tamaño de la villa Nos quedamos el día de Navidad y para nuestra suerte, nada más llegar se fue la luz en todo el pueblo por 6 horas. La villa está cero preparada para este tipo de incidentes que, por lo que nos contaron en el pueblo, pasa a menudo. En el email de bienvenida nos dicen que si necesitamos algo, contactemos con ellos... La primera media hora aún podíamos mandar emails, ya que después, también se fue la señal de teléfono y estábamos sin luz, sin comida, con la ropa de la lavadora a medias, empapada y sin señales de nadie que nos viniera a ayudar EN NAVIDAD y en medio de la NADA!! Finalmente y después de dos días, me mandan un email "automático" diciendo que estaban fuera por Navidad y que si necesitábamos algo llamásemos a otro número... repito DOS DIAS DESPUES!! justificando que ese email se mandó al momento pero que debido al apagon me llegó con retraso... si un email lo mandas al momento, yo lo recibo nada más que tenga conexión a internet... es absurdo... NADIE se interesó por pasarse por las villas y ver qué estaba pasando y más en fechas tan señaladas... por supuesto toda la comida que teníamos en la nevera a la basura y no pudimos cenar nada... ni una misera vela... las peores Navidades de mi vida y ni siquiera un perdón por la falta de ayuda.

BBQ was not in too good looking conditions so we did not want to use it...rusty. No thongs provided either making it harder. Only one pan provided in the kitchen and harder to prepare family meals.

- T Blake (1/5): Dirty villa with owner no where to be seen - The area is quite The villa wasn't clean on our arrival, Two of the single beds had been slept in and not changed , The bathroom hadn't been cleaned with dirty towels hanging of the shower and on the floor, The rubbish bin in the kitchen - bathroom and toilet had rubbish in them, Also food was left in the fridge and a child's dirty sock left on the sofa. The cutlery was dirty and the fry pan was bent and warped. The internet was turned off at the wall and when turned back on it didn't connect to the network so we were left picking up weak to no wifi from other villas. I phoned the owner with no answer, I left a message and sent them an email, Still no answer. Absolutely pathetic on the owners part and would recommend for anyone to avoid completely

Its 4-star rating is deserved. - We liked the location in the centre of Walpole, close to the Giant Tingle Tree and the Tree Top Walk. The villa was spotlessly clean. It had all the facilities required for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfy. The wifi was fast. It felt like a home away from home. The only disappointment was the shower. Although the shower head produced a nice, strong flow of water, the height and angle were not adjustable, making it difficult to get underneath the shower. This should be a quick fix. If it isn't fixed, it is guaranteed to disappoint every client who will ever stay in Villa 1.

The place needs some TLC, window in the master bedroom was dicky, sliding door fly screen out back fell off, the front door sliding door was hard to open and some of the blinds were damaged. Otherwise it was clean and the kitchen functional.

Nothing really but maybe some hand soap for in the bathroom to wash hands. And maybe another floor towel for when the house has a big booking in it as it was drenched by the time all 5 of showered. But other than that We were all happy with everything.
