Guest Reviews
- Ruth Natalie (8/5): Loved our short stay in wintery weather. House was warm and cozy. - Beautiful home, nicely decorated. Driveway was quite difficult in wet weather.
- Apostol (10/5): Beautiful home, beautiful area! - The location was excellent as we attended a wedding close by. It was difficult to find all the light switches

- Mackenzie (4/5): Beautiful views, warm house, but needs some upgrading and some maintenance. - The overall vibe of the house was initially very lovely. The house was very toasty with the heater on and the gardens were very lovely to view. The house supplies were good, but could be better. The downstairs toilet and sink were backed up, the whole downstairs bedroom was unusable as it smelled like human waste. My in laws had to sleep in with another guest and on the couch as it wasn’t safe for them to breathe in the smell. (I reached out to the company regarding the toilet and was promptly blamed for the clog even though we hadn’t even used the toilet.) We woke up early and decided to leave fairly early even though check out wasn’t until 11. Arriving to the property your greeted with orange safety cones up to the driveway and then a massive pile of wood or rubbish that is just dumped on the driveway up. Not a very welcoming feeling. One of the toasters didn’t even work and one of the rooms had a water drip that a guest had to listen to all night. Some of the supplies needed to be updated and general food supplies needs to be thoroughly checked before each guest.

- Linda (10/5): The perfect location to stay when attending a wedding or just a beautiful weekend getaway - The location was perfect after staying the night before and the night of my sons wedding which was at a reception venue 3 kms from the accomadation Loved everything. The driveway is a bit challenging but manageable
- Brandon (10/5): Loved the scenery - Beautiful location The driveway was a bit steep and hard to see when coming out.
- Tim (5/5): Filthy but quirky and comfortable. - Quiet and quirky, set amongst the rainforest forest. Comfy beds, linen was the only thing appeared to be clean. It was filthy, broken glass in carpet as well as a huge pile of crushed chips , which is not ideal when you have a baby on the floor. The bath tub is full of scum. Lots of spiders and dusty cobwebs. Dead bugs on Windows sills. Oven started to smoke, fan forced function did not work at all, and it was covered in grime. We were forced to vacuum ourselves and wipe the bathtub. .Smoke detector scared our kids as the batteries needed replacing, lucky there was some in a drawer. Just to name a few. Multiple reviews in the guestbook about how poorly it was cleaned with no response from property management. Outdoor furniture completely broken and appeared unsafe. It's a real shame as this property has enormous potential but has been pathetically been taken care of.wish i could upload more than 4 photos.
- Grant (8/5): Very relaxing - Loved how quiet and relaxing it was Bit of an awkward spot to reverse out of with the neighbours cars being parked across the driveway
- Maidie (2/5): Disappointing - Location was nice Property was disgusting, mold everywhere including the kettle. Blood on the pillows and chairs.
- Sally (9/5): Very enjoyable. - House very comfortable. Everything provided. Service providers were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble when we contacted them. Beds were lovely and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely use again. The drive way
- Burcu (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place Na
- Azizza (9/5): Beautiful country home - Beautiful country home with beautiful scenery and spacious. It was clean and we enjoyed our stay. Would have been nice to have some extra toilet paper, dishwashing liquid and laundry liquid.
- Monica (8/5): A quiet and peaceful retreat - The charming cottage and the beautiful and serene surroundings. A quiet retreat for the senses. The house needed a little tender loving care from wear and tear- knobs on the doors, heating not working,
Suggestion - a list of transportation available with numbers, food delivery places, little hidden gems to explore around the area on foot, useful information on how to and also areas to visit in the surrounding areas. Netflix does not work unless you have your own subscription.
Other than these little minor inconveniences, it was an excellent stay.
- Paul (2/5): The house was in disrepair making our holiday very stressful and disappointing. - location was fantastic. Quiet and tranquil surroundings. Close to shops and activities such as the 1000 steps, High ropes course, Puffing Billy and antique shops. The property was not prepared for our arrival-there was only 3 pieces of firewood and we had to ring each day for more only to be told that only one bag of wood was usually supplied per stay (approximately 9 small pieces) and then it was up to the guest to source it themselves (we were given 2 bags under sufferance), the safety switch was triggered on our first night when we turned the lights on so the first night we were without power, the main oven didn’t work, 2 out of 4 gas burners on the stove didn’t work, the main light in the bedroom flickered and went off and on when switched on, so we were unable to use it because it was unsafe. The gravel driveway was difficult to negotiate as it was steep and there was a ditch either side which we were lucky not to reverse into on our first day. The water temperature was very temperamental. and the water pressure was poor. The noise of the septic tank in the main bathroom was also really annoying. The whole house was dirty and needs to have a damp cloth to all wood paneling and a good vacuum and mop. The house had lots of cobwebs. The staff were very unapproachable and rude. The house was advertised as having a DVD, CD and radio of which there was none-however the property owner dropped a DVD player off on our second last night and connected it up for us and he was really friendly, kind and easy to talk to. He was eager to hear and be shown each of these problems and said he’d investigate fixing them and he apologised to us.
- Christine (10/5): Fantastic retreat for a family or small group - beautiful spot in the wooded area with all the creature comforts. - Loved the location/surroundings and the bed...! Gravel driveway was steep. No WiFi in thr master suite level.
