- Iuliia (10/5): A peaceful, clean, and comfortable stay in the forest with friendly host Greg and a beautiful winery just a short walk a - We had a lovely stay! The house is right in the forest, surrounded by birds and animals, very peaceful and relaxing. It’s clean, comfortable, and has everything you need, including bbq.
Greg was super friendly and always happy to help.
One of the best parts is a winery just a short walk away (about 500m), with beautiful views and great wine. We really enjoyed it!
- Anita (5/5): A rather expensive bush accommodation. - The cabin is in the middle of a bush environment. Birds chirping everywhere. A good experience if you want to stay away from the very commerical Hunter Valley The toilet door could'nt be closed and some of the chemical toilet smell lingered on every time we finished using the toilet. There was instruction of how to flush the cassette toilet but it doesnt work. Also a bit of hiccup when boiling the kettle and air con operating at the same time. It caused jumping of the fuse.
The fridge had a very strong fishy smell and lingered in the cabin every time we opened it.
The booking.com website only published 1 cabin but the one I stayed is different from the pictures published
- Anastasia (9/5): Beautiful and peaceful stay - I really liked the environment and how peaceful it was, 100% will rebook if I visit hunter valley again There wasn’t anything I didn’t like :)

- Kévin (10/5): Un agréable moment, en pleine nature ! - La nature, le calme et l’espace. Rien à dire
- Kate (8/5): We enjoyed our stay very much however we were expecting something more private. - We loved the view into the bush and how neat and convenient the tiny house was; it was perfect for a long weekend. It was also very central to a lot of great attractions. There is a fire trail on the property where you can go for a nice bushwalk. We saw goannas and lyrebirds. We didn’t love that there were other tiny homes and a larger house within view. We were expecting something more secluded and private. In addition we weren’t expecting the host to be staying onsite; this ruined any illusion of privacy that we had.

- Bianca (1/5): - When we arrived, we discovered that the “other house” the listing claimed was far away was actually very close. The property looked nothing like the photos — it was a completely different, run-down building in poor condition. There was no hot water upon arrival, and we had to request a gas bottle from the host, which he retrieved from the other house’s barbecue.
The next morning, we woke up to no power, later finding that the house had somehow tripped. The overall condition was nothing like the photos — poorly maintained and unclean. The coffee machine even had visible algae inside.
The location was not private, as people frequently walked past on a track directly across from the tiny house. It also appeared that the toilet had not been emptied for quite some time. Overall, it was not a good experience.
- Lina (8/5): Lovely and comfy - The location was perfect! Also pretty good to place to have a rest and disconnect from everything. There were a couple of things that weren’t working like the lights outside and the hot water for the shower the last day, but it didn’t affect that much our stay.
- Jaclyn (8/5): Perfect little hidden gem of Hunter Valley - Location is perfect and so close to vineyards. It was very clean and tidy. The host was very responsive and accommodating (as we asked if it was ok to drop car off nearby before check in). Felt very private and hidden away. Also having a fire pit was great! Luckily I read all the fine print and reviews, so knew what to expect, however the information could have been a little clearer around which Tiny home you would get. As I thought i has booked 888 tiny home, however in messages with host it was confirmed that we were going to be staying in 800 tiny home (same area but very different photos). So i would suggest 100% confirming which tiny home you will get or want when booking. Also very minor, but wasn't able to find any bin bags in the kitchen.
- Marcus (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (6/5): Great location in the heart of the hunter. Home wasn't really what I expected though. - Super easy to access and get in. Microwave and fridge were provided. Coffee machine had green mould/ algae in the water section (didn't realise this until after we made a cup of coffee). Home shakes when you walk across the floor. Also on a property with a house and another tiny home which I didn't realise as I thought I was booking a private escape.
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): Lovely atypical accommodation - Very atypical accommodation but a very fun way way to explore the hunter valley!
Super clean, functional AC, very close to the wineries : we loved it! Not very comfortable with the dry toilets
- Morley (3/5): Fell very short of expectations - The tiny house was not positioned well for privacy, another one 50 metres away. Had to check in late at 4, then 4:30 and then cleanliness was an issue. Shower wasn’t clean, had to clean myself. No bowls at all to eat from. As above. Likes the bush and the wildlife that was around. No shade at all, need to be careful in summer with such a tiny box
- Bronte (9/5): Fun winery holiday. - Such a cute little home in beautiful surroundings! Walking distance to a handful of wineries - and just a short drive of walking isn’t for you.
- Jared (7/5): Great place to stay, close to major everything - Nice and quiet,
- Vicki (8/5): Great host, comfortable stay, good location -
- Caroline (8/5): Very good -
- Kasey (10/5): Would recommend - Great location, 7 mins from Harrigans. Owner was really nice. Easy to check in, had a code for the lock box which was convenient. Comfortable bed and the room was really cute. Nice place to stay for a romantic weekend getaway N/a
- Michelle (9/5): Back to nature tiny homestay in the woods - The location was beautiful and we loved the coffee machine and very comfortable bed. The windows were huge and it made you feel like you were sitting in the outside. The fire pit was great in the evening and the composting toilet was far better than expected. It was a great glamping experience. The photos were of the other tiny homestay and the inside of this one did not appear as modern so this is misleading.
- Erica (9/5): Superb -
- Bethany (6/5): Pleasant - Sweet set up. Nice and compact Location could have been more private. Toilet facilities.
- Amanda (10/5): The perfect experience for a destination weekend to relax, see nature and explore wineries. - I loved the location, how modern the interiors of the Tiny House, the comfortable bed and bedding, and the considered set up of the outside area. The blinds were fab for privacy too and it was well insulated. No, I enjoyed my stay
- Yasmen (9/5): Superb - The location was incredible. The surroundings. The host Greg was so lovely to deal with.
- Ally (10/5): My partner and i had a great stay at Tiny home 888. Greg was very kind, welcoming and responsive to messages and request - Greg from Tiny house 888 was very kind and welcoming. The home had a cosy, and clean feel and was central to venues nearby.
- Kayla (5/5): stayed one night for an off grid experience, you' get bored quickly as not much to do or look at. - location was out in the sticks, one night was more than enough. similar to camping. felt like we could have taken our own caravan to camp. long drop toilets gross.
- Tahnee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shane (10/5): Perfect - Great place to stay and location
- Natalie (7/5): Unique experience that allowed us to escape the crowds and have our own little secret space. - Great location, unique experience, lovely hosts The bed was squeaky, there were a few ants, wasn’t clear if there was a bbq or not and the wifi was patchy otherwise it was great.
- Luchini (8/5): Very good - Nice accommodation, lovely location peaceful and great location to all the Hunter Valley has on offer.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - Good view The toilet
- Raymond (9/5): Superb -
- James (10/5): Great to unwind from the life in Sydney. - Location was great. was very close to the wineries I was traveling to and from.
- Brett (9/5): Peaceful, quiet, romantic on the door step or the Hunter Valley Vineyards. A great place for a romantic week end away. - Quiet, peaceful location and straight out on to a bush track for a morning walk. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.
- Sparke (5/5): The room was adequate but over priced for the lack of features and experience it should have offered - The location had good potential and was close to great vineyards and other attractions The tiny house fell short of being a tiny house as such. The blinds weren't clean when rolled down. layout for the site lacked privacy and screening from the access road. The plants on the doorstep needed significant care. The building features need maintenance, (damaged front door). The deck was small with th stairs in the wrong location and the front door swinging the wrong way for the deck. The outdoor firepit was in poor repair and the that area was not well placed on the blind side of the structure forcing the guests to travel around the structure. I would encourage a review of the structure and feature layout.
- Hartcher (8/5): Cosy up in nature - Modern decor and comfy bed! It was great to lie in bed and look out at the nature surrounding us. Loved the glass walls and despite being near other buildings the set up had been well thought out to provide simulated privacy. Loved the firepit and cooking grill too! Compost toilet was unusual but fine and clean and I understand the sustainability reasons. The only strange thing was the 'drinking' water from the taps had algae and floaties in it which meant it was undrinkable, even when boiled. I suggest providing guests with 2 water bottles on arrival, or at the very least warn them to bring their own water. Providing firewood would be easy enough too, especially for the price of accommodation.
- Lachlan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (9/5): Cozy and comfy, a must try for couples - Awesome location and real close by to a lot of the great winerys and restaurants. Self check in instructions said the door would be unlocked on arrival, and weren't. Thankfully the host arrived quickly to remedy the issue but we were still left out in the rain with our luggage and had to sit back in the car.
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, had everything you could want. Will definitely be back.
- Stephanie (10/5): Brilliant, everyone should size down every now and again to feel close to nature! - The location was stunning and the facilities exceeded our expectations. We loved being close to nature and living the tiny house life just for the weekend! Bonus is that it is next to Audrey Wilkinson and we brought some amazing wine back to the place. If we go back up to the hunter again, this place will be where we stay. Nothing terrible to add. What is surprising is how the amenities are, it’s creative and really makes you aware of the impact showering and using the bathroom has on your environment. If you would like a place where you can shower as long as you want or flush the toilet, then this ain’t for you.
- Vivian (4/5): Not worth for price - Beware of compostable toilet. Many ants in the house. The location is not secluded as there is another tiny house and property within close proximity. The house was poor quality - broken shelf as seen in the picture. In hindsight, I would recommend staying at a hotel.
- Jessica (10/5): peaceful, dealightful and a great detox from the crazy city life in Sydney. To be around the beautiful winery’s and grea - My partner and I loved how private and romantic it was, it’s a fresh relationship so it was our first weekend away together and most definitely not the last. We absolutely loved the location near by Audrey Wilkinsons and how easy the communication was between myself and the Tiny Away Owner. The bedding was comfortable, the kitchen was just enough and the bathroom was great. I definitely can’t forget how peaceful it was. Thank you for letting us stay! absolutely nothing.
- Cindy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amy (5/5): Passable -
- Kylie (1/5): disappointed in the quality - nice peaceful spot in the bush was not like the photos. was run down, cheap looking and not worth the money
- Violetta (8/5): Great but you’re not alone - everything is great, we cooked in the fire pit outside, the bed was comfy, shower was hot. very close to Audrey Wilkinson winery (highly recommended). we thought it will be an isolated house in the forest. however, you share a field with another tiny house and a large house, both occupied, and in very close proximity to tiny house (approx. 50meters).
- Ethan (10/5): Exceptional - The location was absolutely superb Nothing!
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Cameron (9/5): Superb -
- Audrey (9/5): A great glamp away. - The place was secluded enough that all we could hear were the birds and the rustling of the leaves but still pretty close to town. It was a bit of a surprise though with the eco toilet but amazing that we could have a hot shower.
- Paul (9/5): Superb - the property location and set up perfect. secluded enough you could feel the secluded in nature, but equipped well enough you have all the mod cons wanted for comfort and positioned close enough to all the action of the hunter. Internet signal to the television for Netflix was not stable enough to use.
- Jessica (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anisha (10/5): Such a beautiful house and location, would love to come back again! - Location, and the house was so perfect for the holiday we were looking for, so close to nature. Not very used to an eco toilet.
- Kennedy (8/5): Very good -
- Tony (9/5): Superb - Everything was perfect, Greg was an exceptional host and responded to everything needed for the stay!
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (7/5): Misleading photography - The images listed on Google for Tiny House 888 are actually images of the other tiny house. The promotional photos show a sleek black room with timber kitchen, plush bedding and pillows, fresh towels on a stool at the end of the bed and glasses of wine awaiting guests on the counter. The real Tiny House 888 was a disappointment, considering what we were expecting. The melamine white kitchen was unfinished, missing a door, the large blind was broken and would not open, the bathroom window looked straight at the hosts house and had no blind, and the toilet instructions were vague. There was no mention of having to twist a knob to make the toilet platform rotate. There was also no first aid kit - a severe oversight when the pathway to the door is rock. I stumbled on a rock and sliced open my knee, and there was no first aid kit in the accomodation. I rang the host several times to see if he might have bandaids, but he didn't answer the phone and didn't return my calls. Also, the "888" sign shown in the images and instructions wasn't on the side of the house. We drove in circles in the dark trying to work out which one was 888 and had to get out of the car with flashlights, only to find the numbers laying flat on the air-conditioning unit.
- Jarno (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay and would return. - A very quaint and unique stay. Very enjoyable. Clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful location and scenery. Wasn't quite as private as expected after seeing the photos. Neighbour and host are quite close.
