Guest Reviews
- Danielle (5/5): Stay was good at best probably been a bit generous when I say that, very uncomfortable all round - Location was good as it was close to the Main Street Couch was very uncomfortable, bed was hard and very uncomfortable to the point we woke up with sore backs, front door didn’t seal properly and this allowed cold breeze to flow into the room, bathroom was small, cramped and door would not stay closed, fridge/freezer did not freeze food as it needed to be defrosted due to the ice build up around the freezer fan and did not allow cold air flow, we stayed two nights and were only given one towel each, no face washers. For the price of the stay you would expect a lot more from this place.

- Craig (8/5): Nice cottage in great location - The cottage is in a great location and is very comfortable It’s overdue for some of the revenue to be reinvested in the cottage. It’s a bit tired and in need of some work. The managing agent needs to do a thorough check on all the little things that need work to bring this property back to its full potential
- Natalie (8/5): Very comfy stay at a good and quiet location with all you need. - It is a nice cottage, not the newest one but therefore with a nice charm to it. Everything is in good shape. The location is excellent, very quiet (no traffic noise!) yet also very close to all the cafés, shops and restaurants as well as Sorrento Front Beach. We even walked to Back Beach which was a short enough and enjoyable walk. All was fine.
- Emma (7/5): Was a cute stay - It was cute and clean The radio clock had an alarm set at midnight.
- Cathy (8/5): Very good - The location was great. Well equipped kitchen, good hot shower, clean, nicely appointed. The bed is a bit soft and left us feeling a bit stiff and sore. There needs to be something other than just the doona as it was too hot under it and too cold without it. The microwave screen is not working so it was hard to figure out how to use it. Heavy rain came under the front door.
- Dianne (8/5): Very good -
- Florence (8/5): Very good -
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (8/5): I loved it. It’s everything you would imagine an old cottage to be. - It was quaint and we lacked for nothing. Everything was clean and there was even relaxing music playing when we arrived. Location was convenient and walking distance to everything we needed. We had so many warnings about making noise and disturbing the neighbours, yet the RSL across the road was so loud we couldn’t sleep until they finished up for the night. It felt a little patronising and very hypocritical.
- Dale (8/5): Very good -
- Melina (9/5): Overall the location was perfect for what we wanted. We had a positive stay. - The location was perfect! We were their for the weekend for a wedding. Walking distance to everything!
I rang up as we wanted to check in a little earlier so we could get dressed for the wedding. They were very accommodating.
WIFI worked well. The decor is out of date. Doesn't put you in the right mode.
The dishwasher wasn't working so we had to take them out and wash by hand.
Very little hanging space in the bedroom.
- Bruno (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (8/5): Great - Location was excellent. Parking and had reasonable selection of kitchen items. Very cosy and comfortable. The bed needs to be fixed as when we arrived it had several broken slats and probably the cleaners don’t notice this. The bed had a bit of slope down towards bedhead. Might be stump issue.
- Rod (8/5): Good overall - Tidy, nest & good location No tissue box !!!!
- Edward (9/5): Was perfect for what we wanted. - Location was perfect for what we wanted. We could walk everywhere, it's so close to everything. No face washers in bathroom.
- Camerons (6/5): CUTE COTTAGE BUT SUB-STANDARD MAINTENANCE. - Great location and cute authentically-decorated small cottage. Absolutely no contact from the management company after we raised concerns. The BBQ was covered in fatty residue, the freezer did not work ( meaning we lost some frozen goods ) and the fan in the bedroom did not work ( we think due to flat battery ). We raised these problems on departure day ( as only noticed on Night 2 of 2 ) but no communication from them after 48 hours. The property seems to suffer from lack of regular maintenance and checks. There is more to managing a property than just changing sheets and towels.
- Beth (9/5): Superb - Felt like grandmas beach house in the best possible way
- Robert (10/5): Excellent stay, especially liked the proximity to shops, cafes - Excellent ambiance and very clean and cosy nothing to report
- Clare (8/5): lovely little cottage in great location - excellent communication with host - location is amazing. need and tidy. no bath, no bottle opener
- Beyond5th (8/5): Lovely quiet location - just right for a two night stay. - Great central location in relatively quiet street. We enjoyed our two night stay, thank you. The exterior of the property...some of the facilities (for example the outdoor BBQ) were a little tired. Also the garden needed attention...overgrowing trees etc.
- Beata (6/5): Pleasant - Location The house is old and not updated. The shower was leaking and not very clean. The place was infested with insects. No tissues, only 2 towels and 2 small toilet paper rolls for a week. The cottage needs a lot of renovations to justify the price they are asking for it. Disappointing. The mattress was very firm and uncomfortable.
- Bernie (10/5): Relax and Revive - I liked the homely cottage feel. I was there for respite so being cosy while uncluttered was just the ticket for me. I found it very relaxing listening to the nature sounds. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. Up the street and around the corner was the ocean and loads of shops, galleries and one lovely little opp shop. Nothing about the property really.
There was a renovation happening two doors away and trucks were coming before 7 and in and out all day that made things noisy. If you're out and about exploring, it doesn't matter. A couple of vehicles did park across the drive as the drive is grassed not concreted so difficult to see.
