Guest Reviews
- Maksi (7/5): Excellent for our stay, close to everything especially Fiona Stanley where I had to attend. - Excellent location, pleased to have three bedrooms, ensuite plus bathroom. Large kitchen. Beds clean linen,
Heating in rooms, tea bags old we left new ones. Had to repair back door lock as only a snib held it.
Back area needs clean up.
- Liz (5/5): Passable - Location, privacy, good sized rooms & good undercover outdoor patio, good heating. When arrived house not cleaned, however was attended to quickly once made contact. The house cleaning/maintenance not the best with thick dust in places, hair on floor, mould in bathrooms and leaking roof.
- Fallon (8/5): Very good -
- Rose (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Good value great location. - Good location and good size property. Leak in one bedroom. Could of done with a deep clean. But overall good location and host and good value.
- Anonymous (6/5): Fine - The walls were quite dirty and uncomfortable pillows
- Terrett (3/5): Shabby old rundown house - Showers and hot water were good. The back door lock was a tiny bolt about 4cm long. Absolutely NOT secure. Together with a deadlock deadlocked open and a another lock handle with no internals???
Several rooms had power boards installed in the walls as PowerPoints. Dodgy and I doubt up to code.
The back bedroom was an afterthought having about a foot either side of the bed. The door had sprung hinges which slammed shut when you moved the lamp to get into the crawl space by the bed.
Dingy lights throughout.
Shower and bath were nice in an otherwise rundown old house
- Anonymous (8/5): Pleasant house with art deco ceilings and light fittings. It's basic but has everything you need. - The door code, once I got the hang of it. I liked the separation of the lounge room and the kitchen/diner. Was close to South Beach Parkrun, which we did on Saturday morning. Close to the supermarkets on South Street. Really liked bedroom one with en-suite, and the large other bathroom. Lights inside are very dim, and in some cases yellow. Barking dog next door at 163, but that's not your fault. Would have appreciated a second bath mat.
- Emily (9/5): Superb - It was a nice apartment. Plenty of space. Air-conditioning controls were very confusing.
- Amanda (4/5): Disappointing - Served its purpose for us, but not really worth the price.
Needed to stay in Perth for 2 weeks due to sons' surgery.
Beds were comfortable, but everything else was disappointing. Everything was dusty and dirty, cockroaches in kitchen, Wi-Fi constantly dropped out, no kitchen/bathroom amenities (no toilet paper / bin bags), kitchen sink was constantly blocked up, constant beeping in the middle of the night we have no idea what it was, second bedroom door handle does not close (great when you have a kids!), front patio was so thick in dirt if you walked on it bare feet, your feet would be black!
- Paula (10/5): A great base from which to explore the wonderful Fremantle. Thank you. - It was big and very comfortable for our group.
- Melissa (1/5): Disappointing - Very spacious The property manager coming in and taking people through when we were not home and our teenage son was home alone without advising us
- Alysha (8/5): Very good -
- Lou (10/5): Exceptional - Overall, suited our needs excellent All good
- Muhammad (10/5): Everything was great and would stay here again. - We got the ground floor unit (which is Lodge 2). Very very spacious. Complete amenities provided. Garage is quite small for 2 vehicles, especially if one is a people mover. Rice cooker is provided, great for asian family. Our unit has a private backyard so kids can play outside. Everything works as intended. Near to coles hilton for groceries. Mildred allowed us to check in very early which was unexpected and very nice. Thanks Mildred. This was our third time staying with you and your properties have always been exceptional. The rooms should be numbered clearly so we know when setting the air cond flow instead of playing guessing game. The air cond control pads in both units are controlling the same centralised air cond for upper and ground units, so anyone could change it without other guests knowing. Notwithstanding, i would stay here again in the future.
- Alice (9/5): Convenient for us and would recommend the property. - Location suited us
- Jian (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Bevan (5/5): Passable -
- Sue (9/5): Would recommend - Location space and 2 bathrooms Parking was a bit tight. Upstairs unit.
- Karen (4/5): Very noisy, needs a deep clean. - It was a good size and the bed was comfy. Very noisy and needed a good clean ie top of fridge, lights etc. Ironing board needs replacing. We tried to cancel the booking two weeks prior to our stay as we no longer needed such a large property but had no response.
- Ben (4/5): Disappointing -
- Erin (7/5): Great location. Convenient. Clean and tidy - Convenient location, everything you needed The advertisement wasn’t clear about the unit. My parents have mobility issues and I wasn’t clear that the unit was upstairs. The aircon is difficult to use I.e. downstairs turning the aircon off etc
- Bill (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Super clean and homely.
- Sheree (1/5): Bad - People upstairs were very noisy. Stomping around. What ever they cooked you got the smell of it downstairs through the aircon. Extremely dusty. So much dust from head height upwards and under the beds. Beds are very uncomfortable. Mould in showers.
- Codie (7/5): Average but good enough for a night or two. - Very convenient location for us. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, nice lounge/dining area. Didn't realise we shared an entryway with the upstairs unit, it's basically a 2 story house but a secure door down stairs and upstairs to access the apartments. Apparently it's only 1 parking bay per booking, this isn't clear in the booking agreement nor does it say it anywhere when you arrive. We had a group of 7 which is 3 cars, I had to ask where to park and was told offsite parking is available at a cost, but out of goodwill they let us use a second bay at the front of the driveway. This needs to be very clear in the booking ad. The walls in the house are dirty and need a nice cost of paint.
- Este (6/5): Pleasant - Modern, big and clean Aircon was shared with another apartment, which meant in a heatwave we had elderly parents who suffered because we could not get one room cool enough. tenants in the top apartment was hammering on the floor making quite a-lot of noise. When mentioning it to the host her reply was 'there is a heat wave'
i would've expected to at least talk to the top apartment and ask to only cool one/ two rooms to accomodate us down stairs.
- Henrik (6/5): Pleasant - Good space, and cozy place. A bit loudy, due to traffic, and the dog next door.
- Kiara (9/5): Superb - Location and layout of home were great, clean, easy to use locks/features I would've like the rooms a bit darker, blinds didn't block morning light, if I'd had my sleeping mask it would've been fine though
- Colin (7/5): Good - Very comfortable stay - we used lodge 1 and 4 for 9 people. Everything we needed for 2 nights. Thank you.
- Sandy (9/5): Superb -
- Linda (9/5): Great location, spacious rooms, fremantle was great we only went to perth once - Location was great
Rooms big and spacious
Clean Air con shared with upstairs house and they kept switching our air con off
Our code for getting in main door and house door were same, but upstairs was using same front door we were worried they had same code as us for front door as thry thrn potentially could have opened our door
- Deborah (8/5): Excellent - Great location comfy and good size for a family.
- Eugene (6/5): Overall ok but the best. - Good location with a local Coles and a bus route straight to the Optus Stadium. No scissors or oven trays in kitchen. TV not working well. The whole house was grimy eg doors, door frames, windows, mirrors and under settee have not been cleaned for a very long time. I would suggest the owners need to check up on their cleaners. Not suitable for wheelchair users or small children - garden in particular very uneven.
- Barbara (7/5): Good location for someone who’s never been to Perth - Size, location & parking perfect for our stay. Aircon good but confusing as to when it was on & off as seemed to be on a timer which we couldn’t adjust. Everything was fine but think it would be a good idea to supply bath mats as no seals on shower doors & the kitchen needs a grater, potato peeler, a plastic mixing bowl & at least one deep casserole dish for the oven.
- Christin (10/5): We had a great stay and would definitely recommend and return - Very clean and tidy, beautiful first impression. It felt comfortable and right at home. Great room set up. The sore lock system is a bit tricky and we made the neighbours come down a couple of times as the alarm wouldn’t turn off.
- Leanne (8/5): I would stay again as it is great value and location - I have stay here before down stairs, this is perfect for short stays. The stove top did not work except one burner and the pans that are there do not work on it, so no homemade dinner
- Marion (5/5): We did not think the property was very clean. Lovely bath but no plug. - Free WiFi very spacious accommodation No plug for the bath. Not very clean
- Susan (5/5): Generally ok - The price was very good and convenient location close to bus route to Freo and supermarket. The cupboards, plates, fridge and oven were not clean. They only gave us 8 towels for 8 people for 8 nights and these were never replenished during the stay. No face cloths or hand towels were provided either. Only one tea-towel for 8 days also ridiculous, I had to go and buy more at Coles. Also I had work to do and the wifi was unreliable, it was timed and kept kicking me off which meant I had to set up a hotspot on my phone all the time to do my work.
- Keely (6/5): It’s a split level house with a unit upstairs and downstairs. Has all the basics you need - Had all the basics. Main bedroom was nice comfy bed but the other beds were harder. Stove & cooking utensils if you like to cook & plenty of plates, bowls & cutlery. Not far to drive into Fremantle. Not like the colonial house in some pictures, there’s 2 places it’s a duplex. Another family stayed there at the same time & were very noisy with kids screaming. The driveway was difficult to back out of & couldn’t turn around as there was another car parked in the driveway. Can only fit one car per unit but they had 2 cars. It’s on a pretty busy road so the traffic is busy during peak times & loud. House needs some maintenance. The main bathroom toilet was noisy so had to turn the tap off at night. The couches were too small & uncomfortable.
- Peter (10/5): Clean comfortable accommodation with all guest needs considered - Very clean well equipped accommodation in a location that suits my stays in Perth.
- Kiwicol (8/5): Pleasant stay and comfortable for a short stay. - Close to shops and transport Bathrooms need a little adjustments as water was leaking from shower. One toilet was over flowing and needs attention.
- Lai (8/5): Linen and room were not very clean. But appreciate they solve the issue on the day. - Good communication with us and solve the problem very quickly. Linen was dirty and room was not very clean.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (6/5): Great location in Fremantle - Good value for money, great location. Recycling bin was overflowing, close proximity to others, no visitor parking, thought I was booking the cottage at the front but turned out to be a unit at back of property. The ad is very confusing. Also very noisy downpipe outside bedroom window when it rains.
- Aaron (8/5): Very good -
- Narelle (8/5): Great location to shops, cafes etc - We had dramas with the front door because of the code and would of been easier with keys but all in all worked well The front door
- Shaikhal (9/5): It was a good stay overall - The proximity of the home was close to Coles which was good for groceries. NA
- Lois (8/5): Very good - Really liked decor A bit rude to be asked to take rubbish out when paying such a high price .
- Allan (7/5): Ok raccoon - Central location Key location was a bit obscure
- Katherine (8/5): Very good -
- Izani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chorng (8/5): nice unit - the unit is clean.. everything you need for stay is available
- Josephine (9/5): Superb -
- Marlene (9/5): Superb - Will definitely stay again location was good as it was close to fiona Stanley hospital as my dad had to have surgery which made it perfect for location, shops around the corner and a coffee drive thru across the Rd. Couldn't fault, only that the ensuite light wasn't working apart from that no fault at all
- Cathy (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay. Loved having a bath too. - Communication was excellent. A great house.
- Wendy (7/5): Would like to have been informed of the stairs the stairs - Parking was bad and dangerous exiting specialty Very good cooking ammenities
Microwave oven kettle toaster
- Katrina (10/5): Highly recommended - Lovey, quiet, clean, spacious apartment. No negatives.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Taryn (8/5): Simple, clean fit for purpose. - Convenient and did the job. Beds were a little lumpy and old. But did the job.
- Yuen (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (5/5): We were disappointed in the house from the pictures which make it look like one. We were there for 3 weeks so the lack o - The location. We thought 165 was all the house but found on arrival it was only the downstairs. Lack of cutlery ( 3 teaspoons) basic utensils. kettle wouldn’t switch off, only four tatty outside chairs for 8 people. Not enough chairs inside for 8 people. Lots of noise from upstairs. Back yard small, full of weeds, no washing line.Upstairs could turn our heating off & vice versa. One small bath towel for 3 weeks, no hand towels. Small fridge for number of people. It wouldn’t take much to look at how long people are staying and adjust accordingly or update items.
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Corina (5/5): Passable - Accommodation was great.. Didn't get any sleep due to the noisy drain pipe, moved to the other room & the roof was making a racket from the rain
- Gaye (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, food walking distance. Would definitely recommend and go back to it - Loved the easiness of the transaction, communication was great facilities great. The fact they had some condiments there was very helpful The driveway, it was very very tight and awkward to
Navigate
- Janine (8/5): Good - Location. Cleanliness and it was quiet Pillows and beds very hard extra pillows were
Past there use by date so couldn’t use them
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - I liked that no actual keys were needed, only codes for the smart locks. House is very clean. Close to shops. The tv was not connected to any network. So no local channels or anything at all, so we were not able to use the tv.
- Tan (8/5): Very good - We loved the spacious, clean and comfortable house. The kitchen was great and well equipped. Very near to a supermarket. We also liked the central heating system and the digital lock. Overall, it was very value for money in a good location in Fremantle! The bed frame in the master bed room was protruding out and one of us hit our leg on the corner when stepping out from the toilet. Perhaps the bed frame should be changed or the corner should be covered up for safety.
- Maddox (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location and beautiful house
Hosts were amazing
- Guy (9/5): Superb -
- Madeleine (6/5): Fine and good value for money, but multiple things made it an uncomfortable stay. - No hand towels/soap. Front door on one property did not feel secure and access to it beeped overnight as if someone was trying to get in. On arrival back to property the front door was open despite having been locked. Pillows in some rooms were so uncomfortable we slept without any pillow at all on first night. Beds were old and very noisy.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lan (8/5): It was fine overall. Comfy place to stay. - Location! Parking space is sharing basis and it was a bit difficult to unload the stuffs and bring down baby and toddler when the other tenant didn’t park the car properly.
- Mannix (8/5): Great stay, spacious property, very clean. - It was very comfy, had everything we needed, very clean, really enjoyed our stay. Couch was very uncomfortable, elements on the stove top didn't work the best. The heater would come back on at 30 even after we turned it off. No outdoor area.
- Ho (8/5): Love it - It's spacious and clean
Conveniently located in Fremantle
There are good array of amenities in the house.
The rate is very good for the size The sofa is a bit saggy
- Alison (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dennis (10/5): Great value for money, Clean n Comfortable - Great location to where we wanted to go, Coles shop, coffee shops, food outlets just around the corner, within walking disatance. Fremantle was only about a 15min drive. Would def stay here again.
- Dawn (7/5): Large clean comfortable home - A little way out of town centre
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - The location owners were great The backyard needs pegs and a decent clothes line. Cut my foot open out back on jiggered bricks and protruding nails.
- Sheldon (1/5): I thought the price was too good to be true and I was right - The room below had about 10 chinese/Indians cooking up the smelliest seafood one could ever sniff. The stench came up stairs into our room and made the night unbearable. Also 2/3 of the nights had party's downstairs
- Kerrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ken (8/5): Very good - Lots of space. mostly quiet location. Parking available. Main bedroom was comfortable. No coffee. Beds in rooms 2 and 3 not very comfortable.
- Gibson (7/5): Good - Comfy bed, convenient parking, good facilities, comfortable. Good to have back verandah to hang clothes in to dry. No hand towels and only one bath mat (for two bathrooms).
- Natalie (7/5): Good - Hosts are very friendly and communication excellent. Is good value to have a whole house for the price. Owner dealt with our concerns about being able to smell gas very quickly, but couldn't resolve the problem as it would have turned off the hot water. He was so nice though! Not quite enough cooking utensils or mixing bowls etc, had to ask for extra towels but all minor things that were not a big deal. Smell of gas from the instant hot water system was leeching through old window into kitchen though, which was concerning.
- Sue (7/5): Good -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Saranjit (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (9/5): I really like the apartment vslue for what we paid. - Location n it was clean. Spacious provided necessities we needed n more. Parking. We had a long sedan but the other occupants of the apt below took up 3 cars space.
Parking at the front also hard as the front lodge had a big van and car it was hard to park.@
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (6/5): Basic accommodation but not the same as the pictured - The location, close to Freemantle and only 30 mins to Perth city We booked the accom based on pics we saw online; our cottage was not pictured so we were a little disappointed to not see what we thought we were getting, there was no mention of stairs, and we had an older lady with us. No cushions on the couch, the microwave didn't work properly, and the oven wasn't cleaned. The lights in the bathroom are not very bright so getting ready to go out was a little problematic eg, makeup etc. Our hire car (Kia Cerato) was a bit big for the garage park we were allocated especially when a 4wd moved into the ground floor, so perhaps a mention of suitable to small cars only would have been good.
Only provide 1 towel per person and a bathmat, no hand towel or face washer.
- Mimi (9/5): Excellent property in a great location. - Everything was excellent for us. Easy to enter the house by electronic keypad, clear instructions given. Clean property. No noise whatsoever even though the property is next to a construction site & a house was being renovated at the back of this property. Utensils provided were good enough. Location was excellent as the property is very near to Coles Hilton & the drive to city was quite short. Host was very accommodating as s/he let us checked in earlier than 3pm after request. Property was good for our stay but these are some things that could be improved for Lodge 4:
1. The doorknob for the 2nd bedroom needs to be replaced.
2. Maybe could provide paper towels for the kitchen.
3. The light for the laundry area needs to be repaired as it couldn’t be turned on.
4. The hood for stove couldn’t be turned on or maybe we were unable to figure out how to do so as no instruction was provided.
5. Maybe could install a ceiling fan in the kitchen area for better ventilation esp when cooking.
6. Lock for bathroom at the back of the house needs to be replaced as couldn’t be locked from inside.
- Belle (10/5): Perfect for anyone wanting accommodation in Fremantle. - Location was perfect. House was well presented. n/a
- Rebecca (9/5): Very clean and a great location. - Very clean, great location, decent sized rooms. Air conditioning controls both up and seperate down stairs apartment. So sometimes whoever was down stairs would turn it off/on.
Potable cot was very lumpy, my child did not want to sleep in it at all.
- Rowena (9/5): Superb - Great location, fantastic value for money. No face cloths provided.
- Francis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nicole (5/5): Disappointed due to incorrect information upon booking - Comfortable beds The fact that this property was in fact a unit which had a lot stairs, no garden or garden view or balcony. The ads are misleading and are not property specific. My mum could not go as she cannot climb stairs due to her health. She only knew about this as she contacted the owner to enquire if there was a back yard. This is not acceptable and you need to update your listings to provide correct information. The owner in the end did provide a refund however, as I was visiting for the first time in 5 years with other appointments booked, this was not an option. Contact for correct information before you book!
- Suzanne (9/5): Great place. - Great location for where I needed to be. Everything there, plenty of room.
- Annette (9/5): Superb -
