Guest Reviews
- Corinne (7/5): - Great space and quiet Slightly too far away from main st when you do t have a car
- Matteo (10/5): -
- Linda (8/5): had a fantastic christmas week with family the unit was spacious for this reunion . - love location , and having a pool was great . spacious deck and lounge . no air con in lounge area
- Monique (9/5): - Great location for the beach Kitchen was quite dated and one of the beds upstairs was very uncomfortable
- Rebecca (7/5): - Location was great and the pool and gardens were awesome. Nice and spacious apartment. Very easy checkin and property management communication was excellent. The place was run down, appliances rusty and lots of things breaking and falling off. It just looked like it needed a little extra love.
The upstairs rooms were not actually seperate bedrooms, which was tricky.
- peter (7/5): Enjoyed our stay, I would stay again, but wouldn’t book for my 89 yr old Parents (stairs) - Onsite parking. Location great, walking distance to beach.
I can see the owners are putting money back in, it had a beautiful renovated bathroom downstairs.(not in the photos by online). I wasn’t expecting the two upstairs bedrooms to be Loft style. Didn’t give much privacy.
Would have like to have window covering downstairs, for privacy at night.
- Robyn (8/5): Great - Location The noisey group below us.
- Eugene (10/5): Exceptional - The bedrooms upstairs didn’t have any privacy
- Vickie (7/5): Good - The location is great — so close to the beach and only a 10 minute walk into town. The pool is nice, but there is no umbrella, and several pool tiles are missing or fallen off the sides of the pool. The property needs some general repairs; we asked for the toilet seat to be replaced in the upstairs bathroom as it was peeling and in a state of disrepair; thankfully they attended to this. Two of the sliding doors to the balcony don't work properly with 1 almost impossible to open. The house sleeps 6 but there are not really enough plates and cups for this many people. The kitchen window doesn't have a fly screen and can't be closed. The controls for the oven have worn off so you have to guess the different modes of heating. The main problem, however, is that the air conditioning unit is in the upstairs bedroom so it doesn't cool the entire unit and the 2 rooms upstairs don't have walls so they are not private.
- Troy (4/5): A very tired apartment in a reasonably good location - Location was great, about a 10-15 min walk to town. Good parking downstairs. The toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom is disgusting, very stained and delaminating. The downstairs toilet takes 20mins to refill the cistern. 2 of the sliding doors downstairs need the rollers replaced and can only be opened with great effort.
The couches and floors were grubby as was the verandah. The owner needs to spend a few bucks to make it presentable
- Sally (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (8/5): Great stay - always have a great time in Bryon and Clarkes beach being so close was terrific - Please note that KendallBeach Apartment had a broken pipe and was being fixed - so we were relocated to Beach Haven 2 unit on Lawson Street - Scarlet was very helpful with all those arrangements and alternates as was happened only the day before we were due.
- Kimberley (7/5): Good -
- Kelly (8/5): Very good - Nice and spacious
- Todd (9/5): Superb -
- Janette (8/5): great stay and perfect for what we wanted. - easy to get the keys and to drop them off. Great little info pack came with the keys too. Great location - very short walk to the beach and walkable into town. Car park underneath was great. No heating downstairs in the living area bar a little bar heater and the evenings were a little bit chilly. We ended up putting the heat pump/air con upstairs and turning the fan on to push the warm air downstairs. Definitely helped a bit. Little bit worn but really clean and comfortable.
- Matthew (5/5): Awesome location. Outside appearance was nice, but inside was disappointing. Having pool was nice - n/a very old tired furniture
air-condition didn't work - even after real estate sent out a technician when we arrived. Air Con kept tripping and going off - we had to manually keep re-setting trip-switch.
shower head in bottom bathroom was leaking everwhere
BBQ was very ordinary and ran out of gas
- Elle (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (5/5): Cost effective but in hindsight I would have paid more to stay somewhere nicer. - The location is good, in a quiet street a short 10 minute walk to Byron.
Close to the beach.
Nice sized balcony.
Service from head office staff is very thorough, friendly and professional. The decor and furniture is really dated and needs upgrading.
The oven settings have been cleaned off the front so you have no idea what setting it’s on, making it hard to cook.
A lot of the kitchen drawers and cupboards look and feel scruffy, they don’t close properly and are starting to chip off.
No basic supplies were there like dishwasher tablets etc.
The upstairs rooms aren’t actually walled off, it’s just a wooden shutter. We had 2 couples staying there meaning no privacy so one couple ended up staying in the child sized room in a smaller bed.
Sofas feel old and slightly damp and in need of a refresh.
No blinds in the bedroom with en suite.
It is genuinely cost effective and I don’t think you’ll find a place as big for the same price. But it just needs some money spending on it and modernising. It could be such a beautiful property but it’s all just rough around the edges and dated.
This might sound like little small details to some people but when you want a nice place to relax in on holiday, that you enjoy cooking in and sitting back, this wasn’t the property for us.
- Laura (8/5): Great location but could use some improvements. - The location was brilliant. Being able to walk to the beach was wonderful. The size of the apartment was good. Lack of privacy in the upstairs bedrooms due to it being a loft with no complete walls around the bedrooms. Lack of toilet paper provided. There are 2 toilets in the apartment, and both only had a skerrick of toilet paper provided. There was no dishcloth provided to go with the little bit of dish detergent provided. The apartment needs to be sprayed for bugs, but at least there was some bug spray there to kill about 4 cockroaches that we saw. The oven worked but there were no markings for temperature or function, and nothing to say what brand it is so that we could even look up an online manual for it. So guesswork meant that we burnt our food. Luckily not too badly though.
My children were looking forward to swimming in the pool each day and didn't go in it once, as it had lots of leaves on the bottom of it, and what seemed like mosquito larvae on the top of the water, and the filter didn't seem to be working.
The barbeque was grubby when we arrived, so we didn't bother trying to use it.
The dining table and coffee table both could do with refinishing. They are lovely pieces of furniture, and would be beautiful again if they could be refinished.
A little Exit Mould in the showers regularly would do wonders. Also in the drain in the bathroom sinks.
- Debrock16 (9/5): We were happy to be here and have already recommended this to other friends and family. - Absolutely loved the location it was so handy and central. The beach was down the road and to get into town was a lovely 1km walk. We also loved local restaurants and bars to us plus the shopping in the industrial area. It was the ideal location, and everything was easily achievable on foot. The cleanliness could have been a little better, there was mould stains and mould on the doors and there was cockroach poo inside the drawers in the main bedroom. The furniture needed a little bit of attention which could be done easily and cheaply done. The mat needs to be tossed.
- Grisel (6/5): Pleasant - Location, undercover parking & pool we're great.
Washing machine, dryer and dishwasher very useful.
While outdated and no wifi available it's a great loft unit. Standard of cleanliness was poor, mould in the bathroom, bbq and oven were dirty, oven had missing labels so unable to use effectively, rangehood was dirty, lightbulb needed replacing in main bedroom.
Hard mattess on loft bed.
Very minimal pantry staples, no 2nd toilet paper rolls in bathrooms.
- Minique (7/5): Good -
