Guest Reviews
- Jake (6/5): Just okay - It was a great location to walk to town and obviously being surrounded by nature is lovely. The spa bath was not working, one of the sheets had stains on them and there were not enough towels for the weekend. Considering the high price we paid for the weekend, we probably wouldnt stay here again.
- Dragan (9/5): Nice and relaxing - Great place, beautiful surroundings, nature, wildlife. The back yard is a great space, and the fire pit is nicely placed. The house location is very good, walking distance to the shops but also secluded area surrounded by nature.
Communication from host was great. Booking.com were not very helpful in dealing with queries. Apart from that everything else was great.

- Dudett (10/5): great fabulous and fantastic - easy with a code emailed to me prior to the visit. beautiful piece of land great country outdoor and indoor atmosphere. great parking fantastic. big rave... there we 3 keys needed to be labelled to which key was for what.
Needed more towels

- Rhiannon (9/5): 🅰️+ - Amazingly comfortable bed. Short walk into main shops which is ideal. Has all the amenities one needs at a home away from home 🙂
- Sara (9/5): Perfect place for a larger family, comfy facilities and fabulous wildlife and location - Lovely central home in Halls gap - enough rooms and space for a family with 2 teenagers! All facilities you could need. Loved the visits from the wildlife with cockatoos and wallabies chilling on the verandahs! Na
- Steven (10/5): Great stay - Clean, well laid out cottage with everything we needed. No
- Evelyn (10/5): Tranquil stay at Halls Gap at the foot of The Grampians - This lovely cottage has everything you need to be home away from home while admiring the spectacular views of the Grampians. Its proximity to the hiking trail as well as Halls Gap town centre provided convenience. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. Even though the weather was stormy and windy, we have managed to finish the hike, came back for a warm shower and enjoyed some quiet time by the fireplace. Highly recommend it to group of friends or family looking for a tranquil holiday cottage. There was no bin for compost.

- Andrew (9/5): Wonderful. Would stay again. - Location and property are very good. A wonderful backyard, great fireplace inside, bbq and functional kitchen with lots of appliances. Comfy beds and plenty of firewood. The only issue was the spa bath which isn’t working. We booked this property given it advertised a jacuzzi/spa bath which would’ve been great after hiking.
- Bryan (10/5): Our stay was ideal. The weather was challenging but the house is perfect for “at home” days. - The keys were easy to collect via a lock box. Nothing. The house is extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped.
- Mariela (10/5): Exceptional -

- Melissa (9/5): Very quiet location with a great view of wildlife and surrounding mountains! - We loved the access to the indoor fire! Not being able to use the spa bath.
- Shaun (9/5): wonderful location, nice lodge - great location, very short walk from the town & with great verandas front & back for Mountain Views, & with plenty of kangaroos & other wildlife to see. nice living area & decent, if slightly cramped, bedrooms - one big bathroom (although unfortunately spa bath not working), en suite was adequate but a bit small.
- Li (9/5): Superb -
- Aby (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb - It was within walking distance of the town but quiet enough to feature wildlife as common visitors
- Lois (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (10/5): Relaxed country retreat ideal for family or 2 couples - Great location close to town.
Loved the fire, BBQ and wildlife!! Everything was wonderful
- Peter (9/5): Nice modern cottage in excellent location. - Excellent location close to Halls Gap center (walking distance) but not close to the main road - very quiet location.
Plenty of wildlife visiting the property, such as kookaburras, kangaroos, and white parrots.
The kitchen was well-equipped with all appliances and utensils. Nothing to complain about.
- Kiara (9/5): Nice, comfy, central accommodation - Great accomodation. Comfy and great location. Walking distance to shops, playground, eateries.
- Jing (9/5): Superb - The facilities are good, we have everything we need during the stay. The only downside was that the spa didn't work.
- Kaylene (9/5): Enjoyed our stay, property was very clean, well stocked with utensils etc. would thoroughly recommen - Location - Excellent,
Wildlife - abundance of birds, kangaroos was wonderful.
Combustion Heater - almost too good to leave . Bunk beds were a problem, as our party consisted of a couple and two independent adults.
Our responsibility as should have been noted prior to booking.
- Adrienne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Audrey (10/5): We had a fantastic stay. - We liked everything.
- Julian (10/5): A beautiful and extremely well equipped cottage in a great location - brilliant! - Very attractive cottage with large verandas set in its own extensive grounds which were largely unfenced which meant regular visits from kangaroos. Large variety of bird life from the sulphur crested cockatoo's to the smaller nectar eating birds which visited the bottle bush tree near the front entrance. Occasional visits also from the brightly coloured parrots although they were shyer. The property was very well equipped from the comprehensive kitchen to firewood for the stove. Never got round to using the quality BBQ but if we had longer than the five days I am sure we would have made use of it too. We recall that there was reference to a hot tub in the Booking.com advert though not on its own web site. Needless to say there was no hot tub but there was a very large and effective spa bath which we used on two occasions.
- Peter (10/5): A wonderful place for a week's holiday in a great location - Ellimata was a beautiful house in a wonderful location - 10 minutes walk from town and a bit further for bushwalks in the Gap, 20 minutes by foot in the other direction to the adventure golf and cafe (not to be missed!) and fields of kangaroos and emus. The drives around Halls Gap were also really lovely, as was the climb up to the Pinnacle. The house itself had all the features you would hope for and many more; it really was well equipped. We honestly couldn't think of anything that could be improved!
- Alasdair (9/5): An excellent property and great value for money. A great place for a family stay; would come again. - Keith's communication before our arrival was exceptional. The instructions on accessing the property were comprehensive.
- Manuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chintan (9/5): Superb -
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and rooms. Loved the nature and peaceful. Had a hard time seeing the entrance at night as no lighting near entryway
- Andrew (10/5): Short but Sweet - Great communication. Super clean.
- Cécile (10/5): Grampians perfect escape - Cosy and comfortable home, very clean and well equipped in the most beautiful environment and walking distance to Halls Gap tracks and Bambuk center. We loved having wildlife at our door step, definitely a place to go! Nothing !
- Leonard (5/5): good site .i was charged more than quoted. - thebeds were like sleeping on the floor.
- Gael (9/5): Superb -
