Guest Reviews
- Andre (10/5): - Absolutely spotless and very comfortable and ‘homely’ No issues at all, thank you
- Troy (10/5): - Fantastic hosts, great location. Excellent value There was nothing we didn't like
- Julie (8/5): Only issue was air conditioning as the weather was very hot, nearly 40deg, di… otherwise very nice. - Great location. Hosts were lovely. Very good communication. Air conditioning. Bedrooms a little hot. Lounge room was fine..
- Stephen (10/5): comfortable - location - hosts - property layout -
- ivan (9/5): - Property is ideal for our weekend repeated from last year
- Nick (10/5): Great location, neighbors were chatty, boat ramp access made early morning fishing easier. Great stuff team - Great location, lovely and warm
- Ivan (9/5): Value for money - Did not use or see Breakfast, Location, ease to deal with Host Oil heater may have electrical issue, only seen in night as it kicked in sparks
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Corey (1/5): Disappointed - Location Upon arrival, we encountered numerous problems, including:
1. Broken Outdoor Table: The outdoor table was in disrepair, with one leg barely attached. It collapsed when I placed a water bottle on it, necessitating my own repairs using tools and materials I had in my own tool box.
2. Unhygienic Cutlery: The cutlery provided was extremely unclean, with grime buildup between the white plastic and metal. Some knives even broke when cutting our meat. Not to mention lack of usable utensils, we went and purchased a pair of tongs that worked as designed($1.75 is all they cost) and were left in the home for future guests.
3. Power Outage Due to Unsafe Wiring: During a downpour, the power tripped, leaving my sleep apnea machine without power for five hours. As an electrician, I identified the issue—a pump plugged into an extension lead exposed to the rain without proper cover.
4. Broken Shower Screen Door and Tap Handle: The shower screen door was broken, making it difficult for my children to open and close it. Additionally, the cold tap handle fell off easily.
5. Misleading Advertising: The property’s online photos did not accurately represent the actual amenities, particularly the absence of a covered porch area, which we relied on based on the advertisement.
6. Various Maintenance Issues: Several other maintenance issues were present, including a hose fitting that popped off, leaking taps for the washing machine (which I turned off to prevent flooding), a leaking kettle, filthy carpet and extremely disgusting couch cushions.
7. Hygiene Concerns: The bathroom bin was full of used cotton buds and dirty tissues, emitting a foul odor. We had to dispose of it ourselves.
8. Safety Concerns: The gate was in such disrepair that it was essentially unusable. We had to improvise to secure our dogs in the yard.
These issues significantly affected our enjoyment of the property and our holiday.
- Natalie (10/5): Great place! - Great location and lovely property
Very well looked after and the guys super friendly! Definitely will be back again!
Thanks guys
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (8/5): Was very enjoyable -
- Jessica (9/5): Overall a great place to stay! Great location, amazing host and perfect for boats and doggos. - Fantastic location for water sports. The driveway is extremely handy to park the boat. Enclosed yard was great for the doggos and the host is so lovely and helpful. Had everything for our needs and had a fantastic and easy holiday! Would love wifi for ability to stay during the week and work remotely, however understand that this is a bonus luxury and did not impact our holiday stay in the slightest.
- Rayner (7/5): Budget accommodation that is acceptable. - The occasion and company of my friends', the coffee machine and the weather.
The water pressure was alright once the wat water heated up.
The location suited us, and the boat ramp area was nice. Some long-life milk would have been great. A gate that can open for the parking area and a general clean, some of the furniture was also damaged.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (5/5): Passable - Quiet location and owner was helpful
- Belinda (8/5): A fabulous girls weekend away! What happens on the trip stays on the trip! 😜 - We all loved the shower, it coped well with 5 ladies! Would have loved a little UHT milk and vegemite/jam in the cupboard seeing as the next shop is either Yarrawonga or Corowa.
- Kathyk999 (5/5): Handy but needs a revamp - The location was very convenient and it helped us in seeing our daughter and grand children. I can't think of anything else to write in the box, so I'm just writing to make the green line go up to the level it needs to be. Unfortunately we didn't feel we got good value to money with our stay. Key issues that we had while staying here were:
1. There was confusion when we got there and the code for the key lock had been changed. We were able to get in after a phone call but didn't have to wait too long, which was good.
2. Kitchen chairs were repaired with masking tape
2. Kitchen light was falling off an full of bugs
3. Globes in the dining and lounge rooms were missing or not working
4. Air conditioner would only work if you set it to 26 degrees (for heating)
5. Curtains were falling off the hooks over the front door ( I tried to repair them as well as I could)
6. Side tables were scratched and looked like something you'd get from an op shop
7. The advertising suggested you were on the river, but in fact you have to walk 5 mins to get there. The view you have is of a tilled paddock - very exciting ;-)
In general the property had a run down feel to it and we did feel $400 for 2 nights for staying at the property, considering it's state, was extreme. I'm afraid I couldn't in good conscious recommend staying there to anyone else.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - Great location with fantastic parking for a boat. Had all needs we required. Didnt use the inlet as was unsure on depth and public use.
- Fabian (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
