Guest Reviews
- Jolanta (10/5): Klimatycznie i spokojnie - Niesamowite miejsce. Widać w nim duszę gospodarza. Taras wśród drzew pozwala na ciągłą obserwację ptaków. Wysmakowane wnętrze, autorskie zdjęcia, przeszklone ściany - czynią to miejsce unikatowym. Nie było takich rzeczy:)
- piotr (10/5): - Location. Ambiance. Coffee machine. Photography on the walls. Could do with a new bed mattress, Internet and Wi-Fi.
- Mohammad (10/5): Private oasis - Beautiful, comfortable cabin with all amenities that are professionally maintained. Very well located with walking distance to restaurants, bottle shop and general store. Plenty of wildlife and hiking trails just outside the front door. Very easy to communicate with the host. Didn't stay long enough.
- Angela (9/5): Amazing cotage in the nature - The location is amazing, you see animals in the morning when you wake up The jacuzzi didn’t work and went back to see the reviews and saw that it’s been months that was not repaired. Check before with the host, he replies very quick and is very nice.

- Long (10/5): Super place with added wildlife in the AM - wish we had stayed longer. Beautiful inside and out. - Great spot and well supplied place - wish we had booked for longer so hope to be back. Great for exploring and walkable to town! The apartment was generously supplied for proper holidaymakers.
- Dan Schafer (10/5): - The interior is spacious and stylish. We found A Heavenly Escape to be a perfect base for our Grampians trip.

- Alexandr (10/5): -
- Prudhvi (10/5): Romantic Stay for Couple - Location was cosy, private in woods

- Andrew (10/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): It was a lovely, relaxing space for a couples getaway - It felt perfectly secluded, surrounded by bush land. A lovely way to relax. Minor points only, but for the purpose of feedback:
•Toilet seat didn’t stay up on its own (only an issue for hubby 😉)
•Free-to-air TV reception was very poor around the evening time.
•We found the mattress a bit firm and uncomfy (I realise this is objective from person to person)
- Lisa (5/5): Beautiful home & location. It could be great if it was cleaner and the dust removed. - The building and room was made beautiful by the photos and personal items. It looks modern and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. The location is amazing. There was some surface cleaning, clean sheets, bathroom. The rest of the house was very dusty and smelly, particularly the window sills, skirting boards and blinds. With a clean this place could be great.
- Sarah (10/5): Great cosy couples retreat - Great couples retreat. Roomy but still cosy. Lovely location.
- James (10/5): - Another great stay at A Heavenly Escape! The new indoor plants really fill out the space.
- Tina (10/5): cosy with the wood fire, comfortable surroundings, a lovely relaxing week. -

- Anthony (10/5): Gorgeous place set amongst the Australian native and wildlife. - Perfect winter (or summer) escape within walking distance into town and the Grampians.
Set amongst the trees and wildlife this gorgeous place has everything to offer. We loved the privacy, cosy fireplace and waking up to the kangaroos and Australian bird wildlife.
Thanks to our host Tim who assisted with our questions for places to eat and visit. Only wish we stayed longer.
- Dakis (8/5): Very good - great balcony outlook, good privacy, neat , tidy and comfortable no conventional oven, access driveway was a bit of a challenge at night
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - What an amazing cabin amongst the trees. Loved our stay and wish we could have stayed for longer. Everything was perfect. Nothing
- Renee (9/5): Superb -
- Cassandra (10/5): Cosy and comfortable regional getaway for two. - Loved the location, easy to find and close to the township of Halls Gap while still feeling really private. It has trees covering the decking area adding to the illusion of being surrounded by nature. There was a lot of wildlife, being greeted by a kookaburra on arrival which made us really feel like we were in a regional escape.
Appreciated the amenities, how clean the property was and the fireplace that made it super cosy. Nothing, it was great!
- Amy (10/5): Relaxing sanctuary in a beautiful part of the world. - Stunning home in a stunning location. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Perfect for a little break from the city.
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): A wonderful ‘cabin in the woods’, in a great location. - A wonderful ‘cabin in the woods’, in a great location. Great to relax and enjoy the beautiful mountains. Very clean and well equipped, would thoroughly recommend.
- Reid (10/5): We had a wonderful time and would certainly look to book here again when we next stay at Hall's Gap. - Lovely location in a quiet spot in the trees. Clean and cozy studio type accomodation with complementary bottle of wine. The town down the street was accessible and vibrant. Host was really helpful giving us some insider knowlege about what to do, where to eat, drink etc. during our stay. Only minor thing we noticed was a lack of bin liners.
- Susan (10/5): Beautiful oasis surrounded by nature - Tranquility and space Missed having Bedside reading lights
- Sheng (10/5): Having breakfast with kangaroo in the morning is a wonderful experience - Very peaceful place and so many wildlife surrounds it None
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional - I loved being in nature with no fences .. the space is beautiful and much bigger than it looks in the photos.
Roos hopping through, cockatoos and other bird life on the deck .. proximity to a bike trail, close to town etc.
Well set up, late check out time, personal touches, photos etc,. Great host 🙂 No blind on the spa window .. fire place was a bit smokey.
- Tim (7/5): Halls Gap is a lovely place to relax. - The cabin was in a lovely location and we enjoyed the local kangaroos, kookaburras and cockatoos who liked to visit. It had a very relaxing feel to the place. We arrived on an extremely cold day and looked forward to putting on the fire and enjoying that experience - one of the things we enjoy in winter getaways. Unfortunately we were rationed with a quantity of firewood to use for our two days and left with not enough kindling to start a fire properly the second day. So day two we could not use the fire but did have the air conditioner to warm the cabin.
The cabin has no wifi (we were warned of this) but our Telstra 4g did work - not our Vodafone mobile.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay nice and close to everything in Halls Gap. Very cosy with the fireplace and air conditioning keeping it nice and warm.
- Reed (10/5): very relaxing clean well equipped beautiful location - beautiful place excellent facilities very relaxing nothing
- Alexandra (10/5): A total gem of a place to stay - look no further. - What a gem of a place. We loved it. Everything was thought of from firewood to candles to downloaded movies and music to a welcome bottle of lovely wine. It is obvious the accommodation is well cared for and that the host truly wants you to enjoy your stay. Will definitely return. It’s perfect.
- John (9/5): Wonderful relaxing nature break - It was like living in an Australian animal sanctuary. Kangaroos, cockies, emus, kookaburras, lizards millions on birds. So cool No wifi. No internet. Optus 4g worked but not Vodafone.
- Louise (4/5): Disappointing - Great location and lovely property, it is larger than it looks. Back deck is really nice, handy to have a washing machine. There were a lot of things lacking especially considering the price: the standard of cleaning was poor and many items were broken. It was disappointing for us as we booked this property as a treat.
- Josh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Timothy (10/5): A stunning place to recharge. - The location was incredible!!! Everything was beyond amazing.
- Siew (10/5): My husband and I loved this place and will definitely stay here again if we come back to Halls Gap. This place also sets - It is an amazing place and wonderful retreat for me and my husband. You have everything in one room, not too bad and not too small for a couple. It is also fascinating to wake up to birds chirping , kangaroos and deer glazing . It was an wonderful sight where city people dont get to see ! Nothing, everything is good
- Gemma (10/5): Beautiful, romantic, warm, cosy cottage with everything you could need. Just perfect for a winter weekend getaway. Thank - Fireplace, spa, peaceful surroundings. Close to town and walking trails.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Peace, quiet, spa. Bed a bit small, hard. Toilet blocked, we fixed it.

- Douglas (10/5): Heaven It Is. - Heavenly Escape lived up to its name and more, we just loved it. Our host Timothy provided us with loads of information about the local restaurants and bush walks which we found very useful. The property is set on a bush block close enough to the centre of town to walk there, but far enough away to receive regular visits from kangaroos. The bird life included kookaburras, crimson lorikeets, ravens, wrens and sulpher crested cockatoos, which were very entertaining, especially the singing of the kookaburra choir. The place is very spacious and beautifully decorated with the addition of stunning photographs by Timothy, all of which tell a unique story. The amenities left us nothing to desire, we even had electric blankets and air conditioning as well as a fireplace, a well stocked kitchen and even a washing machine which was a godsend after a week of travelling. We were welcomed with a bottle of local wine, a nice touch and an indicator of the classy place we had been so lucky to find and enjoy. Thanks so much Timothy for sharing your property, experiences and art with us, we loved every minute and were sad to leave. N/A
- Kevin (8/5): amazing visit. too short. - the property was excellent and would have had 10/10 but did not have a/c or a fan so nights were hot. also no wifi. location was excellent too. heat at night and no wifi.
- Karen (9/5): Great escape from city life, The Grampians is a beautiful area to visit and explore nature. - Great, quite location, amongst the trees, with plenty of birds and wildlife to view. Property was well presented, and had all the facilities I required. Very good communication from the host. Just to note that there is little to no internet connection in the area of Halls Gap and the property itself doesn't have wifi.
- Belinda (2/5): Very poor - The place was amazing..... As much as the place was really beautiful I thought _$388 for one night was alot with no breakfast provided..
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully presented, clean, well equipped, great location, owner attentive but not intrusive There was nothing that I didn’t like about this property
