Guest Reviews
- Guest (8/5): fine. - space.
garden in very poor condition. leaves the property with a less than deserved impression of being uncared for,
the verge collection couch needs serious upgrade.
it is what it is. suited our pe
culiar preferances. as above
- Ping Fai Roy (8/5): -
- JENELLE (8/5): -
- Lee (8/5): The host Steve was very helpful and quick to respond to any of our needs - The location is excellent an easy walk into the city to every place of interest
- Plumb (7/5): Nice stay - Good location, close to shops, parks, and the beach. There's a hill over the road, if you climb up it you can see a beautiful sunset. House was tidy. The big backyard was great, which is partly why we booked this house. However, the grass had not been mowed in a while. It was really long and untidy, not the best play area for our kids.
- Louden (7/5): Good for what we needed. Would stay again - Plenty of room
Good location
Has everything you need Needed a little love. We fixed a door which was broken. Door in one room still didn’t close properly.
- Julie (6/5): Would stay again but it does need a clean, Value for money - Homely feel Wasn’t very clean
Cutlery had food still on them but were put away in the cupboards
Main bedroom wardrobe door was proper up by heavy weights as it had come off its runners
- Fiona (7/5): - Good location. Quiet and nice house The kettle wasn't working
- Lockyer (10/5): Exceptional - Not far from the shop's Found nothing to dislike
- Sheldyn (6/5): Great location, just a few issues that impacted our experience - Great location, very close to main part of town and foreshore Some supplies were empty- laundry liquid, conditioner
Some maintenance issues - wardrobe doors loose and unsafe, not working bedroom light, bedroom door did not close
- Bronwyn (8/5): Very good - The beds are too hard
- Mandy (6/5): Comfortable enough - Good location Not the cleanest and very basic
- Philip (8/5): Very good - Location excellent fir getting around Geraldton. Close to supermarket. Some of the lighting and room fans not working. Window sill in bathroom not been cleaned. Sliding door on built in wardrobe off its runner. Otherwise all was clean and tidy.
- Christine (2/5): We would definitely not recommend this property, it is dirty and unkept - We have nothing to like about this property unfortunately First impressions of this accommodation was very disappointing. The exterior needs a heap of TLC both back and front. The interior was also disappointing, tidy but not definitely not clean. The dryer still had clothes in it, most kitchen items had to be washed before using eg the pots still had oil in them and the glasses were grubby, the television reception was terrible, the ‘free toiletries’ was a used cake of soap with hair on it and used shampoo and body wash, the the towels and tea towels had a funky smell, there is only one air conditioner in the main living area, the fans in two rooms would not turn on and were very dirty and one light wouldn’t turn on, the fire alarm has plastic taped around it, the exhaust fan in the kitchen had no cover and was dirty and the bathroom one was very dirty. The beds only had a fitted sheet and with no fans working it made the nights very uncomfortable. Definitely not value for money
- Amanda (5/5): Convenient city stay - Close to the town centre with a well equipped kitchen. Good shower and good clothes hanging/hooks in the house. Plenty of bedding supplied. Airconditioning only in the living room with fans in the smallish bedrooms. The yards and general area is dry and dusty
- Sarah (8/5): Great, I would stay again 👌 - Accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Well decorated on the inside. Included washer and dryer. Also had all the kitchen utensils. The outside was a letdown. There is nowhere to sit and was not maintained.
- Dean (5/5): Passable - A problem with ants. When entering the house it smelled of cigarette smoke.
- Liu (8/5): Very good - property is good, friendly host Facility is a bit old
- Mery (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (6/5): Good size rooms quiet street and close to town - The location is good, quiet, the bedrooms are a good size beds are comfortable, rooms have a lot of hanging space for towels & clothes, we enjoyed our stay.. The property on the outside looks unkept, when we entered, the lounge is the first thing you see and it looked dirty which Inturn makes you look to see if everything else is clean the bin under the sink and the surface around it wasn't clean and the pans are old and stained. I would suggest a new lounge or a cover for it.
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb - Very cosy Nothing
- Wei (1/5): worst experience. - The wifi speed is the only thing I like The table was sticky. The towels on the bed are smelly. The bed sheet was clean, we have to sleep with our cloth on top of the quit sheet. We only stay one night instead of two, have to book another place to stay for the second night.
- Hilda (7/5): Good - Location, ease of access The couch was quite uncomfortable
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Neil (2/5): Needs a deep clean, fans don’t work, smoke alarm sealed off, owners didn’t respond to our contacts - Nice location, comfy beds, house has great potential - shame it was so dirty Very dirty, every painting/shelf/fridge/wall/couch needs a good scrub, appears they did the basics and haven’t deep cleaned in years. Bathroom sink backs up and mirror hadn’t been wiped, fridge was dirty and had left over food, not enough TP, bedroom fans don’t work and room is hot from afternoon son, owners did not respond to our contact, smoke alarm is taped off, garden is full of weeds, washing still in the dryer, broom full of hair and dust, cupboard draws need clean, cooking trays are rusted.
Shame as the house has such potential
- Liang (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (6/5): Pleasant - House was nicely done. The gardens need a lot of work. Lots of broken asbestos under the house. Burr grass and double gees in the lawn.
- Paula (8/5): Very good - Handy location, close to town. Amenities were good. Comfortable beds. We had a couple of hot & uncomfortable nights as ceiling fans in bedroom 1 & 2 were not working. Having stools for bedside tables was annoying as items fall through holes in stools.
- Farrukh (8/5): Very good -
- Zhixiang (7/5): Good - The property is located close to shopping centers, patrol stations and beaches. It is poorly equipped with only a toilet and shower
- Gibson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruce (4/5): For the tariff levied, the facilities were below par - pretty basic really. - Plenty of hot water for showers.
Good location near 'Sydney' Memorial, but hardly a quick stroll to the city!! 1. Three gas lighters for cooktop - none worked. Had to buy matches. Cooktop filters needed cleaning.
2. Bedroom fan remote controls. Only one was able to activate the fan.
3. Vacuum cleaner filter - full!
4. Toilet paper supply miserable for four people - had to buy extra. Toilet floor needs cleaning.
5. Dust was obvious in many places. Floor beneath couch had not been cleaned. Couch itself was dirty.
6. Beds need two sheets, not one.
7. Hair on bed linen and sheet stains apparent.
8. Garden needs a thorough weed. Weeds evident on front path.
9. Entrance path border bricks untidy.
10. Baking dish rusty.
11. Ceiling light to sink - globe inoperative.
12. Substantial chip out of wall corner near Bed 1 door.
13. Laundry tatty. Cracked tiles above sink.
14. Pantry shelves dirty.
15. Bag of rubbish left behind inside.
- Judy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kathy (7/5): Good - The house is characterful and well set up with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is very close to the HMAS Sydney Memorial. . While the property is clean on the surface, it is due for a deep clean and the yard and gardens require maintenance.
- Eileen (8/5): Very good - The beds were comfortable. Plenty of kitchen gear. The front and backyard were disgraceful.
Someone needs to do something to make it presentable.
- Vicky (7/5): Good -
- Abby (8/5): Very good - Great place n location Lawns were very long
- Abhishek (7/5): Overall good. Nice property from inside. Quite neighbour - Good location, inside clean The lawn was overgrown. Seriously needs a good mowing if you’re asking families with kids to come and stay. Couch looked filthy that was the only thing bad inside.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Robyn (6/5): Handy location and clean. - Cottage was in a handy location and inside was comfortable. Simple kitchen with more than the basics so easy to cook. The bathroom was very old and needs refurb. Outside appearance and front and backyards are a mess with weeds and fence panels lying around.
- Chengjun (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful house. toilet and shower are limited for multiple people
- Kane (7/5): Good -
- Penny (9/5): Superb - Very well equipped and cosy house!
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Rhonda (8/5): Family short break - Comfortable beds, well presented & close to everything. Had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It's close to the city & is just a quick stroll, you need to be relatively fit, though, as it's up a large hill from the city.
- Thomas (7/5): Good -
- Jagadesh (9/5): Very comfortable and happy to stay again - Location was very good and close to super market , beach, restaurants happy with property
- Christiana (7/5): Good - Well appointed older property that has been refurbished. Wifi available and good communication from owners. Ran out of toilet paper and no bin bags but the property itself was great.
- Stephen (10/5): Would definitely stay again. - Interior was lovely.
- Ceri (9/5): Lovely stay will book again - Great location lovely cosy little home with everyone you could want. Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully kitted out
- Swee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kok (7/5): So far ok. But not so clean. - Responsive host. Average clean. Quite a lot dust and sand on the floor…
- Des (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (8/5): Comfy and great price - The decor and facilities were spot on for the price. The owners have successfully fitted out an older house with suitable furnishings to make a comfortable stay. The ceiling fan in one room does not work, but a floor fan has been substituted. The power board in the same room may need replacing as three pin power plugs have trouble staying in. The house is on a hill - a possible use for the front yard would be a compacted gravel semi circle driveway so that guests can easily enter the street without worrying about other cars flying over the hill.
- Price (7/5): Good - Beds need top sheets not just the doona
- Marissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jody (8/5): Very good - Location
Cosy home Was not clean ie; Kitchen table, bathroom shower and shower curtain.
The towels weren't clean that was laid out in the rooms, we had to pick the ones off the outside line to use.
The sheets in the main bedroom were dirty and stained, so used other sheets that were there.
- Trevor (7/5): The house sited all our needs and was very comfortable. - Location was very good, very close to all the shopping in Geraldton. The bedrooms were all large and the kitchen facilities were excellent. The yard could do with a bit of TLC and the bathroom whilst clean and tidy was a bit small and outdated, there would not be much that could be done about the size but a bit of updating would do a lot.
- Georgette (9/5): Superb - Location and how comfortable the home was Maybe the shower head could be moved to the far wall?? Other than that nothing really. We still had showers.
- David (3/5): Very disappointing - Relatively close to town and access easy. The kitchen is quite new and very well equipped. This was the final location on our tour and maybe we had been spoiled by other properties that we stayed in earlier, also arranged through Booking.com, and which were excellent. Had we not arrived late on the first day (and as we were only staying for two nights) we would have found somewhere else to stay. Sadly, the house was far from clean when we arrived. It is in urgent need of a deep clean from top to bottom.
Plainly, a lot of thought and effort went into styling/preparing the property a number of years ago, however, it is now rather tired There are many maintenance issues, including damaged gas fire, bathroom sink waste not functioning, tear in net curtains, dining chairs that are close to collapse and broken furniture outside the back door. The front and rear gardens are basically dead grass and sand and not anywhere that we would want to sit out in. The bathroom and laundry would benefit from renovation. There were so many issues that we saw no point is contacting the owners. We wouldn't return.
- Valts (8/5): Very good -
- Ting (10/5): Exceptional - Good service and nice staff! None
- Lu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (8/5): Great stay. - Everything, a great stay. Nothing, it was all good.
- Debbie (4/5): Disappointing - I liked there was plenty of pillows The yard was not acceptable weeds and over grown garden at the front door. Ants in the kitchen. No sheet on one bed. The fan didn't work in one bedroom and fans impossible to work out. Couch old n dirty looking. Window sills dirty.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Jenna (8/5): It felt like home and we would love to stay there again. - Very nicely renovated, felt like home. Plenty of cooling, heating, linen. The property sleeps 8, but there were only 4 forks and some other pieces were a bit less than would have been expected.
It didn't particularly worry us, as there were only 4 of us.
Plenty of crockery, mugs and glasses.
We are asked to leave the dishes clean, which is fair enough, but there was little or no washing up detergent.
Plenty of everything else.
All the pillows were too hard!
- Matt (10/5): Central property with everything you could need for a stay in Geraldton - Modern and clean interior with plenty of parking in a great location.
- Jacob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanikka (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (8/5): Great location, great value and nicely setup 3 bedroom home. - The location was perfect for us, well setup and equipped home, off street parking and very good value for a 3 bedroom home. Beds a little too firm for my liking, but that's a hard one, some people like a firm bed. Wi-Fi wouldn't connect at all, this always seems a problem with rentals properties.
- Tze (10/5): A wonderful stay in Geraldton. Couldn't ask for more. - The Location is Superb. 2-3 mins drive to IGA grocery store. 5 mins drive to Hospital, Chemist warehouse and city centre.
The stay is magical. 3 beautifully decorated rooms each equipped with heater, and i recall there's 1 baby crib store in the wardrobe so is baby friendly. The Kitchen was great to use. Perhaps turning on the Hall Sensor light in always ON mode at the front yard would be great.
As we arrive about 8pm, it was very dark to look for the key.
- Masters (5/5): sweet cottage but needs more attention to cleanliness - sweet little part renovated cottage close to town and the beach. very convenient for us.
we were able to cook and relax nicely. floors were quite dusty
we had to wash the sheets in 2 of the rooms as they had not been changed. visible sweat stains and sweat smell.
we rewashed the towels on a hot cycle to get rid of the smell in them also.
there is black mould under the bath mat
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Emily (7/5): A good Geraldton find - Amenities ( heating, Netflix, new kitchen, washer & dryer) as well as a very convenient location. Comfortable beds! Bathroom cleaning ( in particular the bath) looked like it had been missed? Hair in bath / on tiles , wet surround , lots of mould build up on shower mat , toothpaste / water marks on tap west and a dirty mirror. Perhaps just got missed by cleaners that day as the rest of the house was spotless!
- Kaylei (6/5): Enjoyed & will Rebook next time - We loved the short skip & a jump to the shopping centres, the short stroll to any fast food restaurants we desired & the excitement knowing we didn’t need to pack much for our short stay. if we can make a suggestion we would like to have laundry liquid supplied plus some extra Towels that we could use @ the beach as we had to washed & dried them every time they were used, so we could have shower towels that night.
- Charlie (9/5): Superb - Very cosy and felt like a peice of home away from home.
- Denise (9/5): Superb - It was clean & had everything we needed. Nothing, it suited us just fine.
- Rochelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terresa (10/5): East access, comfortable home. - Very nicely presented inside. The host had been very thoughtful in the selection of extras.
- Jade (7/5): The house isnt perfect but its certainly decent. I think its well priced for a 3 bedroom place. Its a good location & - Looks quite modern inside with homely touches.
IGA & bottle shop are close by.
Not far from town.
The fans in the bedrooms helped make sleeping more comfortable.
Smart tv with access to Netflix, Stan etc.
Owners communicated well. Not pleasant outside.
Parts of house were run down.
They have an ant issue in kitchen & bathroom.
There was no hand soap in bathroom.
