• Darryl (10/5): A really comfortable cozy place to stay, I would highly recommend this accommodation for a holiday. - The location is close to main street shops, walking distance, huge house very spacious ample room for the two of us. All we needed was our own food everything else was there, and a really quiet neighborhood, very relaxing and if we come to kangaroo island to stay again then this is the place we would like to book again. everything was great

• Clive (8/5): Very good - The Lazaret is exactly as shown on the Booking.com site. It is exceptionally clean and the milk and TimTams in the fridge a nice touch it is spacious and It had everything you need if you wanted to cook. A slightly longer walk into town than I thought 15 mins if your walking at a pace a bit longer if strolling a nice enough walk in the summer but it's a dark walk till you hit the town now the clocks have gone back. The bed in the ensuite room became small as it had an electric blanket on which I know people will appreciate in cooler weather however it took probably 5ins off the side of the bed the switch was on as you couldn't lie on it.

• William (9/5): Will definitely be staying here again when the time comes to coming back to K.I. hats off to the owners at making this p - Very central and close to the major town of the island. Not a thing out of place, kitchen has everything you need, beds were comfy basically makes you feel at home. Unfortunately and this is not the property owners fault there were road works through out the week having the car not right at the front door for a few days was abit of an Inconvenience but again not the property owners fault we just had bad timing.

• Eng (9/5): Lovely stay for a multi generation family (teenagers to grandparents) - The place is huge... lots of space for the party of 7. Location is conveniently located. Walked to the grocers, Drakes as well as the Bay of Shoals vineyard. The jetty is also just a short walk. Nothing major to speak of really. Maybe the shower head was leaking a bit and the drops make a drumming noise on the shower floor. Mitigated by placing a towel on the shower floor whenever we're not using it.

Would definitely recommend. As above just the ensuite shower, it definitely a screen to prevent the floor flooding.

There was an issue with the TV which was attended to immediately we let Paul know there was a problem. Definitely recommend this place. . Some microwave cooking dishes would be a useful addition

It ticked all of our boxes - clean, neat tidy, spacious. - The Lazaret was a well maintained, clean, neat & tidy property close to the main town centre of Kingscote. It was quite cold at the time of our stay & the reverse cycle air conditioning heated up the house quickly - fantastic! It was spacious for our needs & we would definitely stay there again & recommend it to others. Nothing at all.

• Sarah (10/5): The property met all our needs. We had one powered wheelchair user in a party of 9. - Spacious, even though 9 of us in the property we still had space. Hosts very accommodating when our ferry was cancelled due to bad weather. Nothing not to like. If I'm being very picky then the configuration of the seating around the TV should be the other way round-the 3 seater placed where the chair is.

• Kazabr (9/5): We had a good time and would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. - The house was well presented with plenty of room for a large family. The yard was lovely and very neat. Only a very minor thing but one of the kitchen utensils in the drawer we couldn't use as it was broken.
• Paul (8/5): KI Cup racing trip - Great location. Ideal for a large group. It said 4 bedrooms. We were a group of 5, 1 couple and 3 singles. On booking we assumed the singles would have a room each but upon arrival 2 bedrooms were locked as 1 room had 3 single beds made up. We probably would've went with a 3 bedroom if we knew that'd be the case. Upon contacting the host they were understanding and came and unlocked one of the bedrooms.

• Margret (9/5): Beautiful, convenient and accessible. - lovely location. spacious, with all cooking utensils needed. Lovely quiet calm and enjoyable place to stay. A beautiful home. We loved it. Some areas were not as clean as we would have liked, so we did some extra cleaning whilst there. Only minor, but it was still a bit irksome. We would have loved some pods for the coffee machine (there was only one pod provided).

• Jules (7/5): Kangaroo Island break. - Spacious tidy accommodation. Good for a group of friends or even two families with children. Good location. Heated mattress covers to double beds, but both were only operable on one side and not both. Free Netflix was a bonus. Air conditioner/heater not big enough for the accommodation.... weather was cool during our stay. Only one kitchen knife that is only suitable for slicing bread and nothing else. Shower door would not open.....it seemed to be stuck. Four overflowing yellow wheely bins to the front of the property appeared to belong to all the neighbours. Definitely not a good look for street appeal. An alarm on the fridge kept triggering but not sure why. Left the fridge door open for a few minutes and it switched off.

• Bhuvana (8/5): Our stay at The Lazaret in Oct-22 - Beautiful home, very clean neat and tidy. Kitchen is very well equipped, everything except for dishwasher is available which makes it convenient for a quick meal prep. Having a full laundry facility was a blessing...the laundry liquid was missing though. Nice outdoor space to enjoy barbecue, we did not get any opportunity to use it though. Overall a very nice place to have a relaxed stay There was no heating or electric blankets provided in the 2 smaller bedrooms which was a bit of a dampener. Considering the mattress can feel pretty cold at nights it would have been good to have either a heater or electric blanket on mattress. It seemed as if the common toilet wasn't well ventilated, was smelling a bit odd. Having an exhaust could be a good idea. The last thing, the master bedroom mattress was too soft for us. For someone with a chronic back issue it is not the best thing to sleep on. Nevertheless, this is something unique to us, may not apply to others.
