• Sarah (10/5): Just the stay I was hoping for in the perfect location. - The location was stunning and the views from the room were just incredible. It was a great price and delivered everything it promised. The hosts were really communicative to enable self check-in and also really helpful with restaurant recommendations. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The shower didn’t attach so you had to hold it while showering but this was only a minor thing.

• BRYAN CRUCIS (8/5): - Tai-O to me is a lovely village. Almost everything closes by 7pm. Nights are very quiet. Such surroundings is what I need. The room is sufficient. Toilet tiles look dated and would look better with a coat of water proof paint. No 7-11 or Circle-K convenience stores in Tai-O. Restaurants are expensive.

• Tomy (7/5): Séjour agréable - On a bien une chambre seule et une salle de bain privée Mon séjour a été agréable ! J'ai pu profité pleinement du rooftop qui est un endroit sympa la nuit, c'est calme même si c'est un peu loin du village des pêcheurs (environ 15-20min de marche) La salle de bain n'est pas très clean surtout la douche, il y a du rouillé un peu partout, c'est assez petit... Peut être une p'tite rénovation ne serait pas de refus Le rooftop est un peu sale, un petit ménage de propreté serait la bienvenue !

The room was pretty clean or at least it looks. I did not like the bathroom. It was cleaned, but not that well. There was a lot of black modl like places. I skipped the shower.

• Chun (8/5): Good, worth it for a one night stay. - Nice inn to stay; guesthouse standard. Basic bed + aircon + balcony. Toilet had sufficient amenities with soap, shampoo and conditioner. Location is not too bad but need to walk quite a bit from the ferry terminal. so please be prepared There is totally no transport to the guesthouse; you have to walk on foot entirely. at night there are street lamps but the place can be quite dark. plus you will hear plenty of frogs croaking underneath the nearby drains. So please dont come back too late!

• John (9/5): Peaceful, Seaview happiness - Self check in/out so very convenient & easy. Great location looking right over the open water. Balcony and rooftop area, lovely for mornings and evenings. Close by to some amazing hiking trails for all levels. Lots of street foods and restaurants minutes away. Communication with host really good and very helpful with arrival instructions and helped with transport info. Communal fridge, air-conditioning, tv, good shower and products. Kettle, comfy bed, nice decor and clean For the price, the room was a bit to small, having to squeeze between the bed and entrance door. Even though I liked everything, the price is just to high for such small room.

It could be cleaner - although it was just that, the rest was ok

Enjoy very much to explore Tai O at non-peak time like evening, night and early morning while almost no tourists there. Easy and effective communication with the host. Information is well organized. No need to contact host for extra information.

Brilliant communication with the owner ensuring we found the place and were able to check in really easily. Although we didn’t use the rooftop space, it was a great addition. The bed was comfy and we slept well. Tai O is a really special place, we would definitely recommend staying here for an overnight visit. Nothing

The room is a bit small Air con is noisy especially when the compressor is turn on/off.

• Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice hostel with only three rooms and roof top terrace. Our room had a balcony overlooking the bay. The furniture and decoration was very tasteful. We had a fridge in the room, bottled water and slippers were available for the guests. The check in info was given via WhatsApp so it was always possible to communicate with the reception and to check in online. The info was so comprehensive we didn’t have any problems finding the place. The only little issue we had was with the bed which was a bit short for my boyfriend (1,90 m).

• Fiona (10/5): Beautiful view, experience the village life - The view is magic, make sure to spend some time on the roof during dusk to see how the sky changes colors. The room is not luxurious but it has everything you need and it's perfect for a village stay. You will hear the voices from the neighborhood during the day, but from 7pm it will be nice and quiet, only the waves from the sea will be your lullaby. Nothing to complain, we have already come back the second time!

• Wendy (2/5): Stay here if you like sleeping behind some graves and with ants crawling all over you. - Quiet location away from hustle bustle. Nice balcony, nice seaview. Host only give checkin info and house rules very late, i.e. 14 hours before checkin time. This created difficulties for us. Lots of ants in the room, they crawl into your cup, and food. Can't agree with host that because it's in the suburbs there are ants as there are no ants in the balcony. There must be an ant nest in the room. Room is very tired and dated, ceiling paints look like they will fall onto your head anytime Right behind the apartment there are graves, so in essence you sleep right in front of the graves. The graves are hidden behind some hanging clothes at the rooftop, there were strong winds blowing so we could see the graves.
