• Louise (10/5): - The house was amazing — spotlessly clean, beautifully comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners have truly thought of everything, making it a perfect stay. From cooking dinner in the well-stocked kitchen, relaxing by the TV, enjoying the outdoor fireplace, or kayaking on the water — every moment was wonderful. Highly recommend! I agree with some other reviews that a toilet door, and ideally a bedroom door, would make the space even better as noise does travel upstairs. Apart from that, the house is absolutely perfect!

• David (9/5): Beautiful and luxurious it was great to return to after a day performing. - Fantastic outlook on the river allowing enjoyment of the changing light and weather. Our main mission was performing at and attending the Cygnet Folk Festival but it was hard to drag ourselves away from the beauty of this place. As in all remote places mobile and internet is hard and the inhouse system worked once or twice but in the main not. On the final morning one of our party enjoyed a swim in the river. Dificulty getting over the stones only partially impacted her joy. I mused on the practicality of some sort of floating jetty for swimming. Probably a liability nightmare but worth a mention.

• Penelope (9/5): Relaxing stay with a beautiful view! - Beautiful house with stunning views of the Huon river. We enjoyed the fire pit outside and enjoying a red inside by the fire. Nice and spacious for 2 couples. The property had everything we could need and the bottle of bubbles on arrival was a lovely touch. The lack of door on the upstairs bedroom and the bathroom in the upstairs bedroom.

The house was beautifully presented and had every conceivable item we needed, including beautiful linen, smart kitchenware and furniture and fittings for a very comfortable stay. Nothing could have been better, the property had it all.

Everything we needed in very comfortable surroundings and an easy 10 minute drive from the village of Cygnet. Communication with the owners was quick and easy and check in was a breeze. All quality appliances and furnishings compliment this oasis. Highly recommended

A beautiful sparkling wine was left for us to celebrate the special occasion we have having with friends, it was much appreciated! For 360 days a year, you would never need a fan or cooling in the bedroom upstairs. We just happened to be there on one of the handful of days when that would have been great........
• Keona (10/5): Peaceful waterside cottage. - This is a truly AMAZING property. I stayed with a friend and asked to use the second bedroom so we had our own bedroom and bathroom which worked out wonderfully, one bedroom and ensuite is downstairs and the other bedroom and ensuite is upstairs. There is also a separate toilet and basin which worked out perfectly for my daughter when she called in for a visit and a swim. There is an abundance of birds especially wrens and wallabies which were lovely to see. We loved the place so much we extended our stay. I highly recommend this property, in fact I’d say it’s a MUST stay! The upstairs bedroom and bathroom don’t have doors which can negatively impact the feeling of privacy and the noise downstairs could be an issue.

• Elenore (9/5): Perfect location and will definitely return. - Location. Very clean. Well stocked kitchen and other amenities. The theatre room was popular also. No door leading into the upstairs bedroom and no door in the upstairs bathroom. Because of this, my son took the room with the best view and my husband and I opted for the downstairs room that offered privacy. The DVD player didn’t work.
