The thing we loved the most was how every little tiny thing that you could possibly want or need was thought of. Every bed had a phone charger next to it, there were even Mykie cards left for us to use, which we thought was amazing. Nothing, it was incredible.

Pantry was well stocked with condiments, etc and cooking utensils. Washing machine and dryer available too. Home away from home. One toilet door had a lock broken, can be easily fixed.

• Helen (7/5): The house itself would be very accommodating if the things mentioned are fixed. - The house was very clean and tidy and tastefully decorated and was very welcoming on arrival. The kitchen is very well equipped and is well stocked with crockery. The beds were comfortable and the heated floors in the bathrooms were sheer delight on the cold days we experienced. The location is a bonus as it is across the road to a park and is within walking distance to the train, trams and cafes. It was an ideal venue for 5 friends to gather and enjoy time together. Having a bedroom each was ideal. The hydronic heating bars in the rooms is a good concept, but they “ cannot be adjusted” according to the manual. They seem to go on and off at odd times and so they must be programmed on a timer? However, on our last night, they didn’t come on and the two downstairs bedrooms were like ice boxes. As we were leaving at 11:30 am on Sunday, the heating bars clicked on. Whilst it was too late for us to inform the hosts of our discomfort, we hope it will be adjusted for further residents. We also noted in the manual that “all air-conditioners must operate in the same mode ( heating or cooling)”. We made sure this was the case, but unfortunately, the air conditioning was not operating efficiently. We could not get the Aircon in the lounge above 3°C so we had to sit huddled in the dining room on our last night. Whilst it did not bother us too much on the first two nights, the third night the temperature dropped to 1.5°C and it was very unpleasant. One of our group was in the downstairs bedroom and had very little sleep due to being chilled to the bones. The front door lock needs some attention as it is quite temperamental and caused us some concern. The door to the downstairs bedroom cannot be closed properly and needs adjusting as it jammed and the person inside couldn’t use that door and had to get out through the bathroom.

• Jane (8/5): A great weekend in a luxurious and well appointed inner city house. - The location near the MCG, Melbourne Park and Southbank was terrific. The house is very well set up with a fabulous kitchen, large dining area, comfortable living room and three parking spaces. The parking spaces were very hard to get into being located off a side lane! The lighting throughout the house was very dim and inadequate for reading, especially at night or when the weather was cloudy. The downstairs shower did not drain adequately so the entire bathroom floor flooded every time someone had a shower!
