Felt like home
- Ethan (10/5): - Fire heater Flies
- Kerenza (8/5): -
- Gregson (5/5): - Everything was lovely, the location was ideal for us, hot water was great. Little more fire wood, would of helped, but was still beautiful. We headed home early, rats or possum kept was awake the night before and I just didn't want another night like it was, the lack of curtains in the laundry, dinning area and kitchen are needed for privacy. I just felt uncomfortable.
- Palmer (8/5): -
- Allison (8/5): - Really beautiful location, warm house, everything we could wish for over a very wet weekend, rather than camping. Didn't like all the rain!
Can suggest supplying several more microwave containers would be useful, but kitchen otherwise very well equipped.
- Cath (10/5): Cozy, carefree stay among the Karri trees, was absolute bliss. - Very cozy, clean, loved the wood fire and bread making appliances and ingredients, recipes and instructions was very thoughtful. Coffee machine and fully equipped kitchen and laundry made for a very care free stay. Location was perfect, secluded among the Forrest but only a short 15 minute drive into the town of pemberton. Loads of local produce close by, chocolate, wine, fruit and veggies, honey and jams. Waking up to the sound of the wind in the trees and songs of the forest birds while the house was filled with the smell of fresh bread was absolute bliss.
- Roslyn (10/5): - Beautiful location and was very homely. Very neat and tidy.
- Sara (9/5): We loved the log heater and had a wonderful, relaxing stay. - Low key, lovely location, very comfortable. Nothing
- Branislav (10/5): Our fourth time staying at this property, always great for quite time away - Location, serenity, bush setting
- Lilli (7/5): Basic but had everything we needed for a winters weekend in Pemberton - The accommodation had everything we needed. The washing machine and dryer were an added bonus. We stayed here pretty much for the fire place and it did not disappoint. All the kids books and movies kept my son very happy. Great location as well, with nobody else around us and only a short drive to town. Toilet had a bad smell on arrival which continued throughout the stay, even some nice smelly air freshners in there would fix that right up. Not a big issue, it just wasn't nice to go in there.
- Emma (9/5): Superb - Very cozy and great location
- Forbes (9/5): Superb - Cabin was clean and comfortable, spacious, quiet and surrounded by trees. Nothing
- Aj (7/5): Good - I liked the spot that the house was in. The beds and everything were very comfortable and the house was nice and clean when we arrived. The people who owned the place were nice when I did talk to them.
- Deborah (6/5): Overall, lovely place is a gorgeous setting - Beds were comfortable, linens were very good It smelled very musty when we first arrived, so we needed to air it out for quite a while.
- Rhianna (8/5): Great nature stay - Lovely isolated property with nature all around
Rustic, but comfortable.
- Max (9/5): Superb - Very peaceful and quiet. Plenty of room.
- Fiona (9/5): Peaceful paradise. - Stunning, peaceful location with amazing bird life. The property was cozy and comfortable with everything we needed. Nothing
- Alan (9/5): Peace in the Tall Trees - Such a fantastic location. Sipping a morning coffee on the veranda spotting western rosellas swooping through the trees and red-winged fairy wrens flitting around the bushes. Close to the Heartbreak trail and a refreshing swim in the Warren river.
- Ariane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (9/5): Just delightfully peaceful - The location is delightful and remote. It's close enough to bush based activities to make it thoroughly enjoyable.
The facilities have now become my benchmark for excellence and the information provided was as clear and well presented as I've seen. Can't really find anything
- Lia (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): A great spot - Beautiful setting, house very well set up and some little touches of luxury that made it feel very homely. Loved the kids books, 4 slice toaster and coffee machine and very nice linen. Took small kids including a baby and elder with mobility issues and no issues with careful watching of kids near the dam Very responsive host who helped trouble shoot the usual rural block living adventures. We will definitely be back. Few mosquitos around so come prepared.
- Bennett (10/5): Lovely comfortable spotless cottage in a serene tall tree forrest setting. Magical. - Location amongst the tall trees was so serene and peaceful. Cottage is lovely, everything you need and very comfortable. Only wet wood on property for fire. Bags of wood available from Pemberton General Store
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Branislav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Judith (9/5): Enjoyed the cottage and bush around . Saw kangaroos and liked having a fireplace. -
- Emma (9/5): Had a great time here with the family - Lovely little house so cozy & peaceful, great location, lovely walks nearby
- Mun (10/5): The cottage is well-equipped and nestled in a karri forest. Lovely and rustic. - The cottage is situated among tall karri trees which provide a rustic feel. The property has a huge garden & we saw many birds and even a kangaroo. The bed was firm and the blanket kept us warm in the night even tho the bedroom does not have heating (there is a heater and fireplace in the living room). The kitchen is well-equipped, incl coffee beans and a coffee making machine. The fireplace is a bonus. I even chopped my own firewood. The dusty unsealed road leading to the cottage. The dryer did not operate well and we had to turn it on a few times to dry our clothes. Each cycle lasted only about 10 mins. I suggest having some written instructions on how to operate the dryer, or getting it repaired if it is faulty.
- Ashlee (10/5): Exceptional - Karriwood Cottage is in a beautiful location, was spacious and clean and had everything we needed for a weekend away. We all agreed we will stay again some time.
- Ebelio (9/5): Superb -
- Djurovic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashwath (10/5): Exceptional -
- Corina (8/5): Great, spacious place in the middle of the forest. - The location of the place is in the middle of the forest, really beautiful and quiet. We loved the birds and the organic veggie stall up the road.
There is the most amazingly equipped kitchen I've ever seen in a holiday home, including a bread maker, flower and yeast.
- Bernd (10/5): Beautiful house - Quiet location, immaculate clean, kitchen was well equipped, kangaroos grazing in the evening, owner responded quickly Nothing to complain
- Anonymous (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay, thank you. - The property was great, it had everything we needed and the comfiest beds. We loved ending the nights with a movie by the fireplace. Nothing.
- Lynn (8/5): Very good -
- Louis (8/5): Amazing - Location and accommodation
- Cecelia (10/5): Tranquil, calm & serene - The grounds are beautiful, amazing location and staff are friendly and available if needed. Love will visit again! Needs a little update but doesnโt effect the stay in one but.
- Gail (8/5): Very good -
- Aaron (10/5): Loves the stay, will be back in the future! - Great location and excellent value!
- Brian (8/5): Would recommend this property to anyone - Everything was easy from the booking through to access, can't fault a thing
- Julie (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cosy forest house - Peace and tranquility
The two emus who came to visit
Board games for the very wet day It would have been nice to have enough chairs in the outside setting for all of us and also in the lounge
- Agnieszka (10/5): Can't wait to go back! - Fantastically equipped, spotlessly clean, in an ideal location, very comfortable (beds included) - a simply wonderful spot. On top of that, owners were more than accommodating in extending our stay 10/10
- Marion (10/5): Very quiet Just as we wanted - Tv reception
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (9/5): A Cozy Country Feel - great location, spacious land and outdoor area, complete kitchen, love the wood panelled ceilings and walls, love the fireplace, nice country feel, rainwater use, has a potential to be an excellent holiday home for bigger families only has one toilet and shower
- Lucy (9/5): Great place to stay for a family. - We were pleasantly surprised by Karriwood Cottage. Sure, the decor is pretty retro, but it was so well appointed. It made for a great family holiday in the Karri forest near Pemberton. The kitchen had everything you might need, including a real coffee machine and grinder (with beans), and a bread maker (with ingredients - a fun novelty for us). The beds were comfy with plenty of warm blankets and there was a good collection of books and board games in the lounge room. It was very peaceful and only a 15min drive into Pemberton. It didn't bother us, but it's probably worth mentioning for other travellers, the bathroom was quite small for a family of 6. The toilet was separate, though, which was more convenient in a one-bathroom house.
- Shannon (8/5): Very good -
- Morin (9/5): A relaxing break enjoyed by the whole family - Great location near National parks and very peaceful
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional - The house was located in the perfect spot.
Tidy and clean with heaps of space to stay a week plus.
Beds are comfortable.
Our way was spot on and we definitely will be back.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Rosie (8/5): A delightful bush retreat with plenty of home comforts. - Location in the bush was delightful - birds in the garden, no other sounds.
Facilities ideal for our needs although a good barista would have been helpful to operate the coffee machine!
Kitchen well stocked with good quality appliances& utensils, even sharp knives!
Lovely homely feel.
Good to have recycle bin& sense of care for the environment from the owners.
So many beautiful areas of bush to explore from this base. Single bed mattresses not super comfy. (Big need mattresses good)
If it was very wet weather,, a gravel area for the car would be helpful to avoid getting mud everywhere.
- Lesley (7/5): Lovely retreat near the beautiful karri forests - It was homely and quiet away from busy roads Cushions on dining chairs would be a bonus!
- Mairead (10/5): Exceptional -
