Guest Reviews

- Bess (10/5): Perfect holiday house in Toowoomba with space, wildlife views, and a helpful host. - It was the perfect little holiday house for our week in Toowoomba. Plenty of room for our toddler to run around outside when she needed to burn some energy. We loved waking up and seeing the wildlife right outside the windows. Mick was more than helpful when we had a small issue with the wifi.
- Mervyn (10/5): -
- Kathleen (9/5): - Even tho it was freezing cold..we had somewhere warm to come back to after outings.
- Lissa (8/5): Cosy and secluded - As always I loved the milk, bread, butter, jam, condiments, washing powder, shampoo, conditioner - all the little things that are provided are unexpected but very welcome!
The coffee maker was amazing, the toast from the toaster was sublime, the bedding and towels were excellent quality.
The location was very quiet and secluded, the wildlife was great to see.
Would recommend. The road wouldn't be very good for a low car, but our 4wd was perfect for it.
- Ian (8/5): Very good - The location was superb. Everything you needed was in the little cottage. The fact of putting milk and bread was a lovely extra touch. Just to let the owners know, one of the latches on an upper kitchen cupboard was broken, and the door sat open.
Also, the white patio furniture on the patio was completely mildewed, which is a small thing, but something a cleaner would not notify them of.
This was our 4th Stayz getaway, Stanthorpe, Montville, Tamborine Mountains and now Toowoomba,
We listed it as one of the best.
Worst pillows was the comment from all of us.
- Zoe (9/5): Superb - Gorgeous secluded location. Very quiet. Great veiw when there was no mist but made it cosy when there was.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely quiet location, close enough to drive into Toowoomba
- Amber (10/5): We made it our own Christmas cottage and had a beautiful time -
- Lois (9/5): Exceeded expectations, especially in terms of its situation 'nestled in nature'. - The location of the property was where it truly exceeded our expectations. Although on the outskirts of Toowoomba, we were surrounded by stunning views and wildlife, and be prepared to be serenaded and entertained, at all hours. The cottage had everything we needed and charmed us from the moment we arrived. There's not much to say here, apart from a couple of minor points. The deck area was fantastic but lacked a sun umbrella, and it would have been nice to have the option to use, say, ceiling fan(s) rather than air conditioning, when there was no through breeze.
- Felicity (8/5): I would recommend this place to friends and hopefully will be returning one day myself. - It felt like we were in the countryside but it was so close to everything. Great to have the wildlife come so close to the cottage, including kangaroos. Lovely views to the Lockyer valley. Lounge, dining, kitchen room was a little cramped. Would have been lovely to have a log burner but no room for one.
- Aimee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cassie (10/5): Beautiful view, clean and comfortable little cottage. - The location is excellent and very good for kids because there’s lots of things to explore. Upon arrival the instructions were easy to follow and the house was very well presented and clean. We also were given a heap of groceries to tide us over until we did a shop which was handy because we didn’t arrive until late afternoon. The view is very nice and the house is very comfortable. Our host was lovely and very accommodating. There were no fans in the bedrooms, which even with the aircon on in the house, was still a bit hot (but I think this could’ve also been because the weather was pretty hot when we first arrived). Also it would’ve been nice to have an umbrella shade on the deck as the sun beats down on it majority of the day during winter/spring.
- David (9/5): Relaxing and refreshing. - Location, surrounds, lots of birds, had everything we needed.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (9/5): Wonderful - loved Toowoomba as well as our accommodation- hope to be back in the future - Excellent - had everything you could possibly need
Great location- very peaceful and my granddaughter loved feeding the horses, seeing lots of wallabies and hares, listening to the cockatoos and kookaburras
The loaf of bread, butter and jam and litre of milk on arrival was a very welcoming gesture.
Bed was very comfortable and cooking facilities were great to have to help avoid eating out for every meal
- Maggie (8/5): Very nice place for small family - Clean bed and kitchen
- Kris (10/5): Very relaxing stay - Lovely little cottage. The interior was beautiful - a lot of thought had gone into it.
- Wan (10/5): Very relaxing - Nice
- James (10/5): Absolutely amazing in every way possible words can’t explain just stunning - Perfect in every way
- Booth (10/5): The cottage is a great place to stay in Toowoomba. Great place to getaway. -
- Paige (10/5): Beautiful location, stunning views and comfortable beds. Mick was very helpful throughout our stay. - Perfect location, great distance from town but still nice and quiet.
- Karen (10/5): We had a fabulous, relaxing stay in Hollow Tree Farm, the location and the ambience were both fantastic! - Beautiful little cottage right in the middle of Toowoomba.
- Lei_u (10/5): Exceptional - The environment. Nice and peaceful, with the animals.
- Rebecca (5/5): Disappointing- Because of host Mick - The host Mick was supposed to have contacted us re early check- in as arranged - the day before or morning of. No communication till after 2pm on the day of check in. Way too late then. After no correspondence after I had phoned him at 8.50am & left messages on the day. Then very poor excuses- his mobile phone fell in the toilet ?? Was there No landline or email available?? What a joke. When Nick wanted to know anything about our check in arrival or depart he expected immediate reply. He never answers his phone on any occasion ( about 3 times previously)& does NOT return calls. I have NEVER experienced such poor service with another host ever before. Extremely poor customer service. Massive Cockroach infestation. Every night & morning & insect spray can was empty.. NO wonder. Mick did replace next morning.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb - Great main bedroom. Enjoyed the horses who came to the fence for carrots. Lots of little extras.
- Karyn (10/5): A great quiet getaway in Toowoomba. - The quiet location, the horses and animals, great shower, good heating and comfy beds. The kids loved feeding the horses carrots each day and spotting the wildlife when driving in and out of the property. Nothing
- Shirley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (8/5): Memorable - Location was perfect. First time staying in accommodation like the ‘farm’ it was perfect for our family. Will definitely be back! It was an amazing stay.
- Anne (9/5): a delightful respite from the noise of urban life. - a quiet haven in a very beautiful part of Toowoomba.
- L (9/5): a really lovely experience. - ambience
had everything we needed plus so much more
beautiful environment
loved all the wildlife and the horses the screen door did not lock properly. When locked it could be pushed open. No locks on the bathroom windows. window in second bedroom very difficult to relics after opening. Road needs grading to improve washaways.
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good -
