Guest Reviews
- Manning (9/5): - Beautiful location
- Kitana (10/5): - Place was cozy, lots of different seating Some spiders, black and huntsmen
- Vik (9/5): Great accomodation for a family/ couple - Beautiful cottage, self contained, beautiful garden. We loved it! One blind in the top bedroom did not shut fully and no blind on top of bed in top bedroom.
- Rachel (10/5): - Vee cosy and picturesque. A wonderful relaxing getaway spot.
- Sara (8/5): -
- Helen (7/5): - Lovely gardens, watch out for the ivy as it will overtake the beautiful trees and kill them.
Cute house. Could hear the traffic from the main road.
- Kiera (10/5): Great stay! Host were fantastic and helpful -
- Richa (8/5): -
- Alana (9/5): It was a lovely and relaxing stay and just what we needed. - It was exactly what we were looking for, we wanted just a quiet getaway, somewhere to read, have a wine and just relax by the fireplace. Gas oven was a little hard to light and only two saucepans but most people eat out in places like Daylesford. During the week would be better too as there will be less tourists.
- Emma (8/5): Fantastic! Cute cottage - The atmosphere on arrival was great. Warm, music playing, fireplace was set and ready. Milk in fridge, wine on arrival! The excessive emails from booking.com- was over the top.
- Werner (7/5): Good - The cottage is cute and spacious. The refurbished bathroom works well although a heater should be fitted. The electronic front door lock is great, and having split system air conditioners upstairs and downstairs kept the cottage warm. Mostly, the gas heater is in need of a service to cure its noisy fan and can be difficult to start. The kitchen is old and lacking. Lighting is ad hoc. There is no dishwasher, and the el cheapo stove is unbalanced. There is no carport or garage and the driveway is gravel. The external sensor light does not work.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Stayed with an old and dear friend visiting from the UK. Storybook was calm, peaceful and a perfect back drop to remini - Great location, very pretty surroundings would go back again in a different season Nothing
- Gerard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacinta (9/5): Perfect place for a short getaway - Loved the quiet, cosy feel of the property. The wood fire and large shower was a luxury and the bed upstairs was comfortable. We were so close to everything, yet felt so far away. The couches looked beautiful but not too comfortable to snuggle into.
- Megan (8/5): A lovely cottage, which was clean, comfortable and well located. The fireplace was a highlight. - Location great
Cosy cottage, we enjoyed the fireplace and beds were comfortable. Would have been useful to include oven dishes to cook meals.
- Mary (8/5): Enjoyed short stay in nice cottage in garden setting. - Nice setting, good location, excellent shower
- Lucy (10/5): Amazing cottage, spotless and super comfortable, had absolutely everything we need for the stay - LOVE the cozy cottage, especially the fireplace, I can spend hours in front of it just burning the 🪵 N/A
- Prasanka (10/5): Was a dream holiday stay - The location was convenient and the cottage was beautifully decorated None
- Benjamin (9/5): Great weekend getaway - Fire place, location, amenity N/a
- Ashleigh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicent (8/5): it’s an ideal location for young families to have some R&R - the location, the quietness, the quirkiness of the decor, the landscaping, the renovated bathroom ( my son loved having a bath) the stairs - was very steep( not ideal with a 6 year old)
- Paxton (5/5): Wouldn’t be back but it could easily be improved by host - The location and gardens were beautiful, style of the cottage was cute. The cleanliness was very poor, there were cobwebs and spiders/bugs everywhere!!! Mould in the bathroom, cobwebs in the kitchen cupboards, outside tables unusable due to webs and bugs, dead flies everywhere, dishes weren’t clean. Dinner plate huntsman in upstairs bedroom.. very strong smell of old inside.
- Oluwatosin (8/5): Very good -
- Gordana (7/5): Good -
- Di (6/5): Lovely place probably wouldn’t return in the wintet - Location was fine There was no information folder( l looked everywhere), the house was cold although 1 heater was on when we arrived. More wood for the entire stay would be required rather than just a starter handful. A throw rug or two would have made the cold nights more cosy. The bottom front step ( of 2) was VERY wobbly and a fall risk with the winter rain and wear/tear.
- Callum (9/5): Relaxing and convenient. - We loved the wood fire and the beautiful surrounds of the property. The facilities included everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The hosts quickly assisted us with any queries we had.
- Deanne (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (9/5): The property was exactly as one would hope for. A true Daylesford character experience. - The property was exactly as portrayed on booking.com. Comfortable. Full of character. Well equiped and clean. n/a
- Ann (8/5): We really enjoyed our brief stay and would return. - Beautiful setting as described. Very comfortable furnishings and great shower.. One of the beds was uncomfortable.Needs fly screens.
- Claire (9/5): If you are looking, STOP and book this! - You’d be hard pressed to find a more picturesque cottage in a better location! It’s the tiniest thing - first world problem - but the pillows were pretty huge and hard and the lounge, though gorgeous, isn’t built for lounging comfortably.
- Warren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jude (10/5): Perfect weekend getaway. - Such a beautiful cottage in a stunning location with all the comforts of home. Nothing - it was perfect.
- Bronwyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrienne (9/5): Beautiful country stay for two couples or small family. - location. comfy beds. beautifully decorated. air con. heating. beautiful gardens. outdoor table. great bathroom. couldn’t get oven to work but microwave was convection. no chopping board.
