Guest Reviews
- James (2/5): Pretty run down home. - The beds are very uncomfortable. The twin beds have springs that dig into your body. The double bed is a very saggy memory foam. The sofa bed slumps and is very uncomfortable. The chairs with the dining table are wobbly, the dining table is very worn. The whole place smelt musty on arrival.
- Owen (10/5): - Good location
- Paul (8/5): Comfortable - There was a lot of pet hair on the floor and carpets.
- Federico (10/5): -
- Jordan (1/5): WARNING: Suprise Additional Undisclosed Fees - Place "appeared" to be priced fairly... until they emailed me after I had booked my stay and attempted to hit me with an additional $315 in pet fees for (2) dogs staying for 2 nights. Turning a $350 weekend into an unexpected $665 weekend. When I immediately asked if we could do something about the undisclosed additional fees they offered to lower them slightly. At this point I asked for a full refund as I would have never booked had I known my stay would have doubled in price. They said all they could do was refund me 50%. Absolutely slimy buisiness practice. I contacted the hose immediately after they spring the fees on me (20 mins after I booked). It took them over 24 hours to respond with a lower pet fee. I immediately declined because it was still too high. What theyre doing is wrong and the potential pet fees should be disclosed in the ad on booking.com. - Lana (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Very clean and cute house, loved the dinosaur theme. It is in a great location. Saw deers out the front window. Hide a bed mattress was a little uncomfortable, but that is usually normal for hide a beds
- Michelle (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - mice at this property sep 2025. NOT KID FRIENDLY - Sep 26,2025 - There were mice droppings in the pull-out couch and the basement “kids” room had a strong smell of mouse urine and droppings under the beds.
This is not a “need to send a cleaner” issue. This is a health services issue.
Booking.com has been handling my dispute which I appreciate BUT it’s been 4 weeks and the property owner still hasn’t agreed to refund us.
We didn’t find the droppings until 930pm on our first night, at which point all the kids were sleeping. We decided not to wake them and leave until the morning.
All night we could hear mice scurrying around the family room couch area. Had we known how bad it was in the basement initially, we would have ran for the hills before letting our children sleep there. DON’T STAY HERE - SERIOUS MICE PROBLEMS. I’m so disappointed that people would claim this is a safe place, especially marketing it as a kid friendly accommodation.
- Droppings in the pullout and under the basement beds.
- Strong smell of mouse urine.
They initially seemed to have good customer service when we found the droppings (as in they responded and apologized). But they seemed to think the fix was sending cleaners in the morning. And even when the cleaners came as we were removing our last bags to go to a last minute hotel instead, the cleaners came and flicked the droppings off the pull out and left.
I feel bad it took me so long to write this review to warn others not to stay here.
Afterwards we looked up “nomadic vacation rentals” and found they are known to not take rodent problems seriously.
It’s taken a while for me to calm down enough to write this review. Health services needs to shut this property down. It can’t be fixed with a cleaning.
I’m also disappointed in booking.com not somehow screening better. I’m no longer confident in booking.com’s evaluation of properties on their system.
- Ella pinkusovich (9/5): - A cozy house with a fireplace. Everything is clean and tidy. The house has different board games and a TV in every room. The pull-out bed in the living room is not very comfortable.
- Suzanne (10/5): A great stay in an adorable home! - It was very easy to access with the instructions they gave us. The home was very clean and had everything we needed.
We didn’t have any children with us, but if we did, they would have loved the theme as well as all the books and toys!
I highly recommend this property!! Honestly? Nothing
I should mention that the bedroom with the two twin beds is downstairs, which has a low ceiling. We’re short so don’t bother us. It would be great for kids as it had lots of stuffies and books!!

- Kellie (1/5): Couldn’t Check In, Lost Our Funds - Couldn’t check in and so the company wouldn’t give the code for the lock box. The company managing the property demanded that we send them both a copy of our drivers licence or passport plus a selfie, these requirements are not detailed in the booking listing, we would not have booked had we known this as it against Australian, Tasmanian, Canadian and Booking.com policies on proving copies of these documents online due to privacy and security concerns with mishandling and hacking of photo identification. No other method was offered and in the hundreds of times we have used Booking.com we have never had to do anything like this.
- Paul (10/5): Fabulous little house - The house was perfect for our group. The kids loved all the dinosaur toys and other games. Great location in Drumheller. The house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. One small problem occurred with the front gate but we reported this and it was quickly rectified.
- Dianne (9/5): Loved our stay at Tricrratoos Landing. - It was very clean, neat and tidy with plenty of kitchen implements to be able to cook your own meals. It was located in a lovely quiet area. Having to go through main bedroom to get to second bedroom.
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Amanda (8/5): Pleasant stay - The location was great and facilities were clean. Great amenities (shampoo, soap, dish soap, laundry, even a high chair and pack and play if needed). The kids loved the dinosaur toys that were throughout the house. The layout of the house is typical of an older property. We made it work but the stairs were a little steep for smaller children. You also had to pass through the bedroom from downstairs to get to the washroom.
- Susan (8/5): Great location. Amenities were also great. Not convinced the cost was worth it though - Location, amenities No a/c (although the fans offered were a little helpful)
Privacy was affected because access to the only bathroom from the second bedroom was through the master bedroom.
The staff (that took far too long to initially reply) were certainly friendly but the organization was lacking. First we were given the wrong access code—- and the “emergency” number took 45 minutes to respond. ( and then took another 15 minutes to figure out the actual access code)
Next we were contacted about a service call. We were told that a plumber was coming in 10 minutes to fix the shower. after two hours :No one showed. We contacted the staff only to find out It was the wrong property. (Again)
before our arrival we were given multiple duplicate information emails. One asked about our check in time. so we chose between 3 and 4 PM. A couple of hours later the response says we were declined that check in time. Getting desperate—we were then told that the response was sent in error .
It’s really too bad that the great accommodation was affected by the poor organization of the rental company.
- Dejan (9/5): All in all great stay - Great for kids. Quiet No ac
- Nicole (9/5): Good alternative to a hotel - Clean house, quiet neighborhood and close commuting to areas around. Low ceiling heights at doorways and basement aren't friendly for anyone over 5'10"
House is old and layout wasn't the best for creating draft to cool down the house.
- Lisa (6/5): Overall, we would stay here again, at a different time of year. - The dinosaur themed decorations were whimsical. The main floor bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having access to a backyard with a table and chairs. The proximity to the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Within walking distance of the town centre. There was no air conditioning which made it very uncomfortable in the late afternoon and evening hours. I would not recommend staying here in 35°C + heat. The hottest for our stay was 32°C and we had to sit outside until the place cooled off. We sure to open the windows, while on site. The fan provided was very loud so, we had to choose between air circulation or conversation. There were not enough towels and two of the towels provided were soiled. They do not provide face cloths.
- Leslie (2/5): Very poor -
- Romeo (8/5): Very good - Customer service was superb. The lady I talked to over the phone was very professional and understanding. Very nice. Wish there was A/C or even electric fans on site. It was a really hot day and opening the windows was a double edged sword. Otherwise would go back.
- Colton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Great location Lack of air conditioning.
- Anonymous (10/5): Nice little house with everything you need - Fantastic bed sheets - so comfortable!
- Marta (5/5): Passable -
- Nicole (7/5): Decent location but would stay elsewhere next time. - The location was good The front porch was falling apart. When we got there the door code didn’t work, we had to call and have it reset. There was also no air conditioning which was horrible to try and sleep in - the house was 29 degrees Celsius and miserable.
- Elna (8/5): Very good - The place is quiet, tidy, and equipped with everything we need. We had a good night sleep during our stay. I love the Dino theme of the house, which perfectly matches the place we visited.
- Tony (9/5): Enjoyed for the one night we stayed. - All electronic entry.
Location was good for us.
In a nice part of town. A second bathroom for the downstairs bedroom
- Pauline (8/5): Very good -
- Adele (1/5): Bad -
