Guest Reviews
- Kelly (10/5): A favourite spot for sure - Everything. The bread is also a winner.
- O'Halloran (10/5): Relaxing King Valley retreat - We had a wonderful two night stay. The three sheds are a stand out within a quiet, tree lined setting. We stayed in Shed 1 at it was very cosy and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast was lovely. Thank you. Nothing. This was a perfect place to stay.
- Keith (7/5): -
- Josie (10/5): Great location - Breakfast was good I was a little disappointed the fire wood order had been overlooked
- Julie (10/5): relaxing place not far from many wineries/amenities and walking distance to the local pub/hotel - good supplies and fixtures and fittings - home from home Nothing
- Gesa (10/5): -
- Mark (9/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Excellent accommodation for rest and relaxation - Very comfortable accommodation and high quality inclusions.
Quiet location.
Excellent variety of breakfast provisions included.
Lovely personal touches.
- Paola (10/5): Loved our stay - Great location and well appointed, spacious ShedOne. So nice to have some breakfast provisions that made our stay perfect. The pillows too lumpy and soft. Could do with a medium firm pillow as a choice.
- Jenny (10/5): Excellent facilities and very clean and well- maintained - Very clean and functional. Plenty of food for breakfast, and other amenities.
Centrally located in the King Valley Nothing
- Sylvia (10/5): Brilliant in every way - The property was presented exceptionally well and was in the perfect location. Eventhough we are familiar with the King Valley I found the information provided to us before we arrived extremely useful.. The hosts were also more than happy to allow us to check out later as there was no-one booked in after us, and that was brilliant
- Aaron (8/5): -
- Emma (10/5): - Everything! This place is the best and its why we keep going back. Nothing, oh maybe more trees along the back fence for shade would be lovely
- Karen (9/5): Absolutely fantastic, the ‘shed’ was so comfortable and it was a joy to simply hang out there - beautiful furniture & linens and so clean and comfortable Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): The only place to stay when visiting the King Valley - Al and the 3 Black Sheds team have thought of absolutely everything to provide you a comfortable stay. Breakfast is organised, nuts and biscuits for snacks, sparkling water and of course back up wind incase of emergency!! Nil
- Christine (9/5): Excellent place to stay if visiting the King Valley - Property was located close to town, had everything we needed , comfortable beds and had great breakfast supplies Needed an extra comfortable lounge chair
- Suzan (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Fantastic, most comfortable bed and all round beautiful accommodation. - The attention to detail throughout the shed, the comfort of the accommodation and the well equipped kitchen and supplies. Nothing
- Melina (9/5): -
- Oliver (10/5): Perfect stay in a nice spot! With a view for details. - Very high quality tiny house (two) with a focus on details. We loved the interior and all the little fitting things incl. the very nice Nespresso machine. Very well done …! Not in terms of „not good“ just some points we found: more storing places in the bathroom would be good, size of TV could be improved and a higher number of glasses.
- Ian (8/5): Nice property however the King Valley still has a long way to go in terms of being a serious wind tourism destination. A - Had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nothing against the property itself but would recommend people read and stick to the ‘Pet’ policy. We had an obnoxious elderly woman who continually walked in front of the unit we were staying in, on one occasion around the back with her two dogs. Was a total lack of respect and privacy.
- Carolin (10/5): - Exceptional Stay – Spotlessly Clean & Thoughtful Host!
We had a fantastic stay at 3BlackSHEDS in Whitfield. The accommodation was spotless. A generous breakfast was provided each day, including bacon and eggs, cereal, yoghurt, bread and condiments, which was a great way to start the mornings. We also loved the thoughtful extras like tea, coffee, milk, fresh orange juice, and delicious home-baked cookies. The beautifully decorated full-sized Christmas tree made our stay feel extra festive and special.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the surrounding scenery was stunning. We’ve stayed at many B&Bs over the years, and this one is definitely among our favourites. Warm, welcoming, and exceptionally well cared for — highly recommended!
- Dhanesh (10/5): -
- Kursten (10/5): Excellent for a romantic getaway - Pristine cleanliness, well maintained, clear communication and generous supplies for our stay
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful place - a home away from home - It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, with excellent breakfast food and some snacks provided. The comfort and amenities were top class.

- Sam (10/5): We loved it so much we have booked again next year - Attention to detail. Breakfast supplied Nothing
- Lisa (10/5): Perfect stay in the beautiful King Valley - Lovely location, spacious and everything you needed for a long weekend. The bbq, fire pit and outdoor patio was lovely to sit out after a long day exploring. Modern, comfy and convenient location. Breakfast supplies were a nice touch and the emergency wine. Could walk to wineries and the pub from here. Would deffo love to return one day. The outdoor furniture could be comfier. Sun loungers would be a bonus
- Rose (10/5): I needed a weekend away to de-stress and this was the perfect place to do so. - Property is fitted out with wonderful appliances and the breakfast supplies were wonderful and enough for my stay. It is in a great location, quiet but still a short walk from town. Even though the other sheds were occupied, it still felt very private due to the placement of each shed. .
- Benjamin (10/5): Wonderful spot for a getaway - Great spot, surrounded by wineries and a short walk to the pub. Very comfortable. Well equipped. Can't wait to come back!
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Eri (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at 3Black Shed. The space was the perfect size—thoughtfully designed and beautifully styled, wit -
- Sylvia (10/5): Loved it. - Such a comfortable place, beautifully styled for comfort and relaxation. The bed and linen created the right environment for a good nights sleep. The breakfast covered all tastes and dietary needs. The view & privacy enhanced it all. Nothing
- Adam (9/5): - Amazing location & super central/located to Mountain View Hotel, Hobbledehoy Café, Pizzini & Dal Zotto wineries. Accomodation peaceful, warm & modern Bed a little small :(
- Ron (10/5): -
- Nick (10/5): - Quiet, private, comfortable
- Patricia (10/5): -
- Kristen (10/5): Fantastic winter hideaway - The indoor and outdoor fires made this accommodation very special. Location was wonderful. Beds very comfy. Very homey with everything we needed
All round great place to stay. Nothing
- Francesco (10/5): We had a fabulous 3 ngt stay in the large Black Shed. It is superbly located in Whitfield. - The supplied breakfast foods were plentiful, fresh and delicious, inc "Carmens muesli", oats, fresh eggs and great bacon.
The accommodation was very clean, spacious. extremely comfortable and very warm w heating.
The linen on the beds, inc bathroom towels were top quality. Minimal observation > there were only 4 mugs for 6 ppl, hence 6 + having extras would be ideal ie when crockery in dishwasher etc.
Also, there were only 2 T-towels, ideally 4 would be better.
- Cheryl (10/5): Cozy and relaxing weekend - Shed 1 was perfect for a couple. It was beautifully decorated, clean and smelt so good. The bacon, eggs, bakery bread, juice and all the other goodies provided were appreciated and enjoyed. The bed was super comfy, bathroom was large and shower was great. we enjoyed watching the kangaroos from the lounge. Although it rained all weekend the accommodation is super warm and cosy (especially with the wood heater going) and our fur baby loved it too. Thank you Mary for your prompt assistance. We would love to come back. The Mountain View hotel (walking distance) has under verandah tables with heaters so we could enjoy their beautiful food and wine and have our fur baby with us
- Marsland (10/5): Exceptional - The standard of the property was exceptional with high end finishes and appliances.
- Thi (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous shed with wonderful breakfast provisions. Had everything supplied for a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend. Just be mindful that the sheds are located quite close to one another. However, there are privacy screens, which means that you won't notice your neighbours when sitting on the deck.
- Corbett (10/5): Location and luxury - From the outside it looks great, but when you enter through the front door you’ll be amazed, a modern country feel, quality furnishings and comfy beds.
The breakfast supplied was far beyond our expectations.
100% recommend Nothing
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Millar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): This is an excellent property, well located and very good value for money. - Everything was clean and the property fairly new. Spacious rooms including kitchen and lounge dining area. Great outdoor deck with furniture. The most generous supplied stay I have had. Not only were the breakfast supplies, coffee pods, and general kitchen basics plentiful they were top quality. Short walk to the Mountain View Hotel, cafe, general store and Dal Zotto winery. Quiet. Pre stay information (about the property and the King Valley experience) was extensive and easy to access.
- Georgia (10/5): 10/10 accommodation, 11/10 for hosts! - Everything from check in to check out was well communicated. We had absolutely everything we needed and more and had a beautiful breakfast supplied of bacon, eggs, bread, tomatoes, yogurt and more! Coffee machine was a great touch. We would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend getaway, so relaxing.

- Bianca (10/5): Fantastic, perfectly located gem - Gorgeous accommodation, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and hosts great at providing extra eggs on request. Lots of thought given to breakfast options and wine available for purchase.
Fantastic location, so close to many wineries and walking distance to the pub for dinner.
My husband even played golf each morning at the adjacent course, which he enjoyed. Nothing
- Susan (10/5): Relaxing - The location perfect for a getaway of fun and relaxation. Plenty of breakfast for duration of our stay. Clean comfortable and well appointed accommodation. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Whitfield. Everything was lovely
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mario (9/5): A very relaxed stay in peaceful and scenic surroundings - Stylish and modern, well presented with all amenities….Xmas tree added to the homely feeling Occupants of other sheds accessing golf course through the back invading our privacy….clear instructions should be given to use the front and not the back….also, we noted a vehicle parked on the grass
- Rebekah (10/5): Exceptional - We had the most luxurious, relaxing time. Perfect spot for exploring the upper King Valley, with so many great wineries in walking distance. Really appreciated the extra little touches like the Christmas tree and the fresh bread. Can't wait to come back!
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): From check-in to departure our experience was seamless & made our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended. - Generous hosts, quality products super comfortable. Simply stunning accommodation.

So clean and cosy and the breakfast included lasted us for our 3 nights stay. View is stunning with kangaroos, kookaburras, cockatoos and rosellas in the paddock. Will absolutely be back soon. Everything was perfect!!
- Harris (7/5): We enjoyed our stay, the accommodation was welcoming and comfortable - It’s modern and rustic. The wood fire heater was wonderful There was no soap for the bathroom vanity
There was only one yoghurt for two people for two days
- Kristin (9/5): Fabulous stay. - The Sheds are in a great spot and walking distance to the Mountain View Hotel where we had a fabulous meal. Wineries are all close. There is obviously a lot of thought gone into the design and the fit out. With a full kitchen you could easily spend a week here. The deck outside was nice to sit on in the sunshine. There were lots of little touches like breakfast, bread supplied, lovely soaps etc which just added to our stay.
- Lynelle (10/5): Perfect country getaway - Luxe yet lived in and cosy feel! They have thought of everything to make your stay amazing. Super comfy bed and beautiful linen. Highly recommend and will hopefully return!
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful weekend - Beautiful decor very comfortable The open fire was not very effective .. and we didn’t know how to get fire wood
- Gary (10/5): Loved this place. - Everything was perfect. Exceptional place Nothing. Everything was excellent
- John (10/5): Highly recommend - Great breakfast provisions All good
- Courntey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zara (10/5): Beautiful shed stay - The shed was modern and fitted with high quality amenities. Everything worked well, the breakfast/food inclusions were fantastic and the place was spotless. I loved that we were able to bring our dog and that the website had a comprehensive guide and the option to order wine, firewood etc. Nothing
- Karen (10/5): cosy cabin with high end finishes. all amenities available and easy to use. - Good variety of breakfast goodies that was sufficient for both of us for 3 nights.
- Leanne (9/5): Superb - Bed and bedding extremely comfortable. The woodfire and breakfast inclusion was a winner. The broken dishwasher.
- Pino (9/5): Superb -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerryn (10/5): Exceptional - 3BlackSheds was fantastic for our mini getaway in a great part of the King Valley. Shed 2 was well appointed with lots of little luxuries and importantly had super comfy beds. Breakfast provisions were generous and we appreciated the extra touches such as homemade biscuits. One minor point is that whilst the tea offering was wide ranging there was only pod coffee which does not cut it for those caffeine tragics amongst us. Hobbledehoy cafe, just a short stroll away, came to the rescue. Also walk-able was the Mountain View hotel with great food and friendly service. Lots to see and do in the area.
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful interior. Comfortable living space with cosy bed and linen. Private and peaceful setting.
- Rubinder (10/5): Was so easy to check in, check out. Was clean, comfortable and nice we got the fire roaring a beautiful stay. - A cute fully equipped property. Very quiet destination. Close to Milawa if you want to do that part too . Lots of wineries, eateries.
- Anthony (10/5): Fantastic .. perfect place to get away with a touch of luxury . - Location Nil
- Sari (10/5): It’s a home away from home during Birthday trip 🙌🏽✨🥳 - - we’re staying in Shed One which accommodate for 2 people. The building itself it’s unique with black painting and indoor with combination black & white.
- Bring fire wood and you can warming up especially we came during start winter season, but don’t worry you can order the firewood to them and they delivery to your shed. It’s warm and feeling cozy inside the shed.
- They supplies us with fresh bread , eggs , milk , bacon , tomatoes and some other condiments as they booking including breakfast.
- We brought some ingredients from Melbourne to cook our own dinner. The Kitchen it’s modern concept with oven , microwave, stove and some kitchen tools. It has set if you want to cooked your own meals.
- We love the bathroom concept as well, very comfortable. Sometimes if we staying somewhere we got minor issue with bathroom/toilet. But Shed One is perfect 🙌🏽
- There is back terrace if you want to enjoy afternoon or morning tea. Also they provide BBQ as well.
- We love the location bcos we love fishing and doing something outdoor with beautiful nature.
- Last but not least the reason we booked this accommodation bcos they are dog friendly and we came here with our 7 months old Vizsla boy 🐶 but you have to supervise your dog if they are active dog as the Shed is front of the road. We brought 10 meters lead and crate for him.
- Shout out to Alan and the team for their hospitality service, he even dropped the supplies during the night when we messaged him after 5PM. So helpful and friendly for sure 1000% recommended to everyone wants to try experience in King Valley - Whitfield.
- Jennifer (10/5): We loved our stay and would love to return and will be recommending your property to our friends Thank you for a wonderf - It’s bright and spacious and clean and well located to all that the king valley has to offer There is not really anything not to like but we have a couple of suggestions for you. To help us keep the property clean a broom would be good, a couple of extra tea towels for those of us that like to self cater. Also a large pot to cook pasta in would have been great. A set of instructions on how to work the overhead fans would have meant that we don’t have to get your lovely manager out to see us and finally a power point in the powder room would be very good for the people in the bedroom next to the living area so that they can use a hairdryer etc. as I said suggestions only
- Karnchana (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy, tastefully designed, well equipped.
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ron (10/5): 2nd visit and not the last - A great location for relaxing and visiting a few wineries. Great cooking facilities for self-catering and plenty of breakfast provisions. The chiminea on the deck was fantastic. Managed to eat outside with it on !
- Suzan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (10/5): Facility exceeded our expectations and was a terrific place to stay. Cosy and comfortable. - Peaceful, quiet location. Easy to find. Truly luxurious accommodation - owners have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Plenty of items to choose from for breakfast. Great TV. There was nothing to dislike
- Lucy (10/5): Beautiful stay in a very comfortable home. - Everything was perfect
- Sami (9/5): Superb -
- Salono (9/5): Large unit, nicely appointed, and yummy breakfast - We stayed in shed 2 in April 2024. The jam offering to begin with was one small honey and one small strawberry jam which was inadequate for two people's breakfast for two days however after I contacted the owners they came at 8pm on a Friday to bring extra provisions which I very much appreciated. The supplied bread was so good and very enjoyable for breakfast. Bed very comfortable. The heating works well which was a blessing. The unit was well appointed. It is well appointed but oddly they don't provide hand cream or shower caps which is disappointing. TV quite small and difficult to watch due to limited angle movement from both the bed and couch.Bench in bathroom too small for two people's toiletries. The $70 cleaning fee is a rip off, as the cleaners are not doing a good job- lots of dust on top of oven, cobwebs in and around kitchen and windows. Only 2 coat hangers yet a wide clothes rack was supplied. Only one glass for breakfast rather than two. One of the breakfast jars was empty and just had crumbs from a cereal that wasn't replenished.
I suspect the sheds would be freezing in winter due to no insulation in roof and just a tin roof. There was no sign of the promised San Pelligrino water promised on the website. There were two wines provided but cost $20 each, despite the website showing photos of wine that made it appear complimentary. Lack of privacy to golf course. I think someone was walking on our balcony at 1:30am on one of the nights. A fence between the unit and golf course would be a good addition.
- Andrew (10/5): Brilliant -
- Rosemary (10/5): Stunning property in central winery region - Beautiful, unique & quality ‘shed’ accomodation in a great location walking/ cycling distance to wineries, pub & cafe. Everything in the accomodation was thought about alongside the lovely decor. Loved the quality linen & towels.
Bathroom & shower was huge! Paying for firewood but was no biggie as we didn’t need to use it anyway.
- Maxine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (9/5): Fantastic location right in town with amazing facilities - Location and facilities were fantastic That we couldn’t stay longer 😎
- Susan (9/5): Great spot to stay when visiting King Valley wineries. - Breakfast supplies were excellent
