- fiona (8/5): Obvious trust by owner, its their house . We felt relaxed there . - Great location across from a large estuary. Park like foreshore with great playground for kids . A couple of blocks to Coles/Aldi etc. Great stop over location if u are travelling south . Dinner ware . No large size bowl for cereal eaters.
- Stewart (10/5): - Its an old modern home and very relaxing, and the scenery was amazing.
- Angelo (9/5): Great - Great location Everything
- Samantha (8/5): Lovely location, easy access. Great views. Very comfy beds and the bedding was very clean. - Easy access and the owner was very accomodating and kind A little over-priced. The kitchen facilitied need an update. Not enough bowls and cups.
- Emma-jayne (5/5): Passable - Location. Someone’s old towel behind the bedroom door. Very average quality property for the value charged.
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Ariames (6/5): Pleasant - Location - beautiful view across the water. Owner lives next door and eager to offer assistance if needed. Overall a pleasant stay, thank you! No hot water, not sure if TV worked, muddy footprints on the floor, power socket in one of the bedrooms not accessible - it's connected via one cable around the perimeter of the room and wasn't plugged in (plug behind a bed) so a bit tricky to connect phone charger, fan etc
- Russell (3/5): Poor -
- Jamie (6/5): Great location, nice sized unit with all necessities, just needs a bit of TLC to tidy it up. - Perfect location, plenty of room out the front, front sitting area great. Had Netflix already on TV. Had WiFi. A great dolphin statue out the front makes it easy to find property. The baby chair in the cupboard was very handy. Bathroom fan super noisy. Shower head quite blocked. Handles broken off all the couches to recline. No handle on one bedroom door. TV remove pretty hard to use/make work.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (10/5): Great facilities, great value and location. Host couldn’t be more helpful. -
- Michele (3/5): Gorgeous View - House needs work. - • The house is half of a duplex, you get one side of the house and it's on the 'cozy' side.
• There was a double bed in one room and the second room had a double and a single.
• The washing machine and dryer were great, however, a drying rack or similar would be wonderful.
• The location and the view were the best parts of staying here. Looking out the front window to the gorgeous estuary is
incredible. We saw dolphins across the road from the house, 2 days of our 3-day stay, and they are magical.
• You can walk to the shops and a cute little op shop. There's a coffee van in the carpark of the Estuary or Benesse coffee
shop, near the shops, is yum. Treendale Farm Hotel is close by, delicious and has multiple play areas for the kids.
• The sheets and towels were clean.
• Bill was great with communication, he let us check in early and use the kayaks. • The front door is dodgy. The owner left it open for us on arrival, it was possible to lock but it was REALLY hard and only my husband had the knack. Past reviews said they used the laundry door, but we weren't given a key.
• The leak from the showerhead is dreadful, if you left it at a normal showering angle, it would pool on the bathroom floor by the vanity, making the whole place really wet and slippery. If you angle it down, it helps and also not closing the tap all the way. The kitchen sink also leaks but it's not as bad.
• The air vent was off in front of the toilet so you could see into the ceiling cavity. Freaked out the kids.
• The whole place needs a really good cobweb; I don't mind the odd cobweb but these were really old cobwebs hanging thickly from the ceiling and there was no broom so I couldn't even remove them for the kids (who HATE spiders). They ran in and out of the front door because there were spiders above it.
• The TV is not user friendly. You need to point the remote at the bottom right-hand corner and wait as it takes a while. My kids gave up and used their own iPad. We were able to access Netflix but nothing else.
• The house just didn't feel clean - there was a dead cockroach on the floor on arrival, blankets on the couches because they are just old, dirty feeling recliners that don't recline anymore. There's a sign in the kitchen saying the power may trip if you use 2 appliances at the same time. There's a kettle but no coffee maker.
• The back yard is overgrown and full of spiders’ webs.
• The whole place really needs a refresh, sticking 30 odd vases and candle holders in a house does not make it better (my daughter counted). Guests really need a broom and a dustpan and brush. I used the swiffer thing to sweep the house as we were leaving but I had to leave the dust in a pile because there was no way to get it into the bin.
• I don’t think It was worth the $798 we paid for 3 nights.
- Bess (2/5): Very poor -
- Wilfred (9/5): Prime location with a great view - The place is in the prime location. To those who would love parasailing is a great place for it or just even to enjoy a walk in near foreshore, its a family friendly environment. Bill and Rose were such a great host. We had a great time during our stay. NA
- Shirley (8/5): Very enjoyable - Location Tv reception was not good
- Greg (7/5): was what i needed at the time - could not lock the front door with the key from the outside
- Kate (5/5): It was ok - Its location, the sunset when it wasn’t raining was beautiful Heating was terrible. They had one split system facing a wall so it didn’t warm the rest of the property, we also found a note from owners saying that we couldn’t use kettle and heater at same time or it trips the power and another note from previous disgruntled people who’ve stayed there saying it was unsafe, the place wasn’t actually secure as the glass in the front door was broken and there was no lock on the screen door so it would be easy for someone to break in.
We didn’t really go outside but it was very overgrown with weeds. Some of the furniture inside the property was broken and falling apart and as I travelled with kids was a bit of a hazard and there were no child facilities even though the property said family’s welcome. Other than that it’s an ok place to stay . Really average
- Raelene (10/5): Awesome - Easy to find, location perfect, clean Didn’t stay long enough
- Jacolien (5/5): Passable - No one to hand over keys at the arranged departure time
- Shiloh (4/5): Host was friendly and the stay was suffice. - Bed & bedding. Fridge, view, heating No privacy, wasnt aware was sharing a house with owner. Needs renovations , front door broken , very cold and windy do not book in winter.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ani (10/5): Absolutely 💯 amazing stay - Everything felt like home away from home
- Steve (7/5): Good -
- Sheeja (5/5): Passable -
- Heather (3/5): Poor -
- Paula (4/5): We won’t stay here again. - Location perfect! This property is very tired!! To the extent that it is in need of some serious maintenance. The facility is depressing! The mould on the bathroom ceiling and the loose power points in the kitchen and bathroom were not health safe.
- Free (7/5): Good - Comfortable, view Tv needs replacing or antenna, windows locks dont work, and flyscreens have holes in them or are falling off.
- Stauch (9/5): Superb -
- Schembri (6/5): Overpriced - Very well equipped.
Comfortable beds.
Prime position. Mouldy bathroom.
Very outdated.
Garden in desperate need of some TLC.
- Leela (5/5): Passable -
- Karisha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenda (6/5): Pleasant -
- Fencewright (9/5): Superb -
- Stripe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kingbilly (5/5): Passable -
- Donna (9/5): Enjoyable and peaceful. - Excellent quiet location.
- Peta (6/5): Certainly recommend as it's a beautiful spot along the WA coast. - The duplex is a good size to sleep 3-4 people and when we had family around we could accommodate them at the table. Beds were comfortable. Water lovely and hot. The view is spectacular and the day we arrived the dolphins swam past it was wonderful. Easy to walk to shops and park. The electric blankets were good on the beds. Everything was supplied. I was with an elderly family member and it would have been good to have a rail in the shower as she felt unsafe in the shower without one. There was no heating other than the electric bar heater in the lounge which did not heat the whole place though we were informed they were getting reverse cycle installed to remedy this situation.
- Shirley (7/5): It was very convenient for us to stay there to visit relatives, nice to have extra space instead of a hotel room - The location was definitely the best aspect, looking over the water with a great walking track A bit dated, needed some TLC, and rather cold, inadequate heating
- Megan (8/5): Very good - Grrat garden and view. Very well stocked for a family or group. Excellent location. Some of the decor - fake flowers and vases -takes up valuable space and detracs from the beautiful garden and view.
- Martin (7/5): Good - Location couldn't have been better. Shore front with 180degree estuary views. concerns about electrics. Loose sockets and cracked/damaged light switches
- Russell (6/5): Postcard location and comfortable enough, but don’t expect too much in the unit itself - Location is excellent. The general facilities covered everything required. Older but serviceable kitchen. It’s pretty run down and needs a good repaint. Style wise it’s like you went to your slightly crazy great aunts house. Tv didn’t work. Mismatched taps. Two clocks, neither had the correct time- and one of them had an alarm on it that went off at 1am
- Chantal (10/5): Exceptional - Location
Warm, cozy and inviting
- Vanessa (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Great little spot. The host lives next door & was lovely & very helpful. - Great little location on the estuary.
Close to the beach.
Shops with a great cafe walking distance. Little overcrowded with decor.
- Kristy (4/5): Disappointing - Location was great
- Wendy (7/5): Good -
- Joo (8/5): Spectacular sunset view - The sunset view of the Leschenault Estuary from the living room is lovely. It's like a painting. My mom and I also enjoyed our daily morning walk when we were there. The property is also very close to a mall, so it's convenient to get things from the supermarket or grab some food. The condiments in the kitchen are mostly expired. So if you decide to cook, do check them first.
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Mac (10/5): 4 Day getaway
Perfect place to start your daytrip adventures. - Fully equipped kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Comfy bed and lounges. Great view with amazing sunsets.
- Ray (9/5): Superb -
- Jaydn (7/5): Work Trip - Location, cooking facilities, comfort Shower pressure wasn't great
- Emma (8/5): homely - location was amazing. fantastic view. wish it had been a bit warmer so we could sit outside for dinner !
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (9/5): Lovely location, thoughtful touches and comfy sleeps. - The location was superb, with beautiful views of the Australind Estuary. Boat ramp, park and shops close by. Great views from the front garden and lounge. Very clean with lots of thoughtful touches, it felt very homely and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Only that we couldn't stay longer!
- Ah-kim (8/5): Very good -
- Valerie (8/5): Location, Location, Location! - Fabulous location overlooking water from front yard. Home is duplex half. Comfortable lounges and bedding, lots of spare pillows. Outdoor setting in front yard nice to sit and watch over the inlet. Walking path opposite and shops a few minutes walk away. Extras in kitchen, biscuits, eggs and milk a nice touch, cooking condiments also supplied. Big TV in lounge room which is overlooking the water. 10 minutes drive to Bunbury, so close to everything you could need and with a boat ramp a few hundred meteres away. Shower head and pressure is fit for purpose. Couldnt get heater to work. This is a 60's/70's home which has been updated in some areas. This is not a criticism just FYI.
