Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): - Everything about the house was amazing, it very comfortable, all the facilities to make a enjoyable stay.
- Donna (9/5): A cosy cottage in a beautiful country town. - The property was very comfortable and within walking distance to the town centre. Our group of 6 all enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the complimentary cheeseboard , the firewood and that our pooch could stay with us. There are many great places to eat and explore in the Stanthorpe area Everything was great.
- Olivia (10/5): - The house was really lovely and spacious. It was also really clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. The only thing I can comment on is the instructions for checking in. They don't mention that the key box is located next to the back door, not the front door.
- MARIA (10/5): -
- Melissa (10/5): Amazing! - Property was amazing and very well equipped. The location was perfect for our Stanthorpe getaway! Communication was just right! Also - the cheese platter was a good surprise! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again Nothing
- Kendall (10/5): Perfection - We had a great couple of nights at this property!
Simone was great and we enjoyed the little platter they provided. Thank you Absolutely nothing!
- Tanya (10/5): Beautiful home perfect for girls trip - The property was great and had everything we needed, super comfortable and perfect location. Host was super helpful also. Would stay again Can’t fault anything
- 1513_112522 (10/5): Fantastic stay on The Granite Belt! Perfect place to stay to explore the surrounding area. - We loved everything about this home - we didn't want for anything, the kitchen was well stocked, the home was warm and our beds were cosy. It was perfect for our 7 guests. Location was great also, close to town and we walked down to Quart Pot Creek every morning. Being pet friendly was also a huge bonus for us as we needed somewhere we could bring our dog. Nothing.
- Bianca (10/5): - Great house and location. Beautifully renovated with all the touches that feel like home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Sherida (7/5): -
- Kylie (10/5): We all had an excellent stay at Addisons in Stanthorpe - definitely coming back soon. - Amazing gourmet cheese platter with a selection of local produce with was absolutely delicious and a great surprise to find in the fridge after a very long drive. Thank you.
- Neil (7/5): Addison's Stanthorpe review - The location and property overall was very nice. It's an old property but it's been very nicely renovated. Very close to Quart Pot Creek. Stanthorpe is a beautiful town. Negative points are noted, especially given the price of the property, but overall it was a nice stay. The property is advertised as pet friendly which was why we booked it. We have a well behaved Labrador. On arrival the small print noted that dogs are not allowed on carpeted areas of the house, rugs or couches, which means that dogs must either be kept outside or confined to the kitchen area, which is not pet friendly in my book, and almost impossible to enforce. The front fence is also not high, if you have a dog that can jump the front yard is not secure. Dogs are also not allowed to be left alone at the house, so if you have a pet, it needs to go everywhere you do.
Other small issues which we think do not warrant the 9.5 review;
- Both the internal fireplace and the fire pit outside were not cleaned out when we arrived which we had to do ourselves. Not a huge problem but for $500+ per night I think this is something I reckon this should be ready to go on arrival in the Stanthorpe winter.
- Pots and pans available are heavily scratched and generally in poor condition. We didn't use them. Other kitchen supplies (plates/bowls/cups/glasses etc) were all good.
- There is heaps of ironbark timber available which was great but it was not that well seasoned and was difficult to light in the indoor fire. I recommend bringing some decent dried kindling, fire lighters and well seasoned firewood to get the fire going before using the timber in the shed. Will save time and effort for a small cost. Pine kindling and a small number of fire lighters were supplied. Enough for a couple of nights but we stayed 4 nights and had to replenish.
- bring pool testing strips for the hot tub to check the chemicals. We didn't use it because it didn't look very clean. We couldn't unlock the back shed next to the hot tub to access the chemicals.
- The property is poorly insulated for noise. If you have a snorer, or someone with a cough (etc) everyone will hear everything. Rooms were otherwise comfortable and beds are fine.
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Benjamin (10/5): Lovely cottage, perfect base for exploring the region - Lovely cottage, great location, well appointed and furnished, good outdoor areas. Nothing.
- Dardenne (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean and very well equipped, the location was an easy walk to the town centre.
The bed was very comfortable.
The welcoming cheese plater was a nice touch.
- Sylvia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mikayla (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (10/5): Just perfect, we will be back. - The home was perfect, and the little extras - cheese plate in particular was an unexpected delight. Communications with the owner was prompt and friendly. The home is beautifully decorated and had everything you would need for a short break. We will be back. Nothing, I couldn't fault a thing.
- Rachelle (10/5): Enjoyable - Nice and comfortable The lawn needed to be done
- Laura (8/5): Beautiful cottage in a perfect spot for a break in Stanthorpe. - The cottage was very pretty and in a great location. The back garden was beautiful with lots of chairs, tables and a bbq. The kitchen and cooking area were beautiful. Everything was very clean and comfortable. With 7 adults the cottage was lacking another shower and bathroom. The study would have been a much better use of space if it was a second ensuite. The extra bed in the middle bedroom was more suitable for a child than an adult. We all thought the cottage was overpriced for what we got.
- David (8/5): We had the perfect stay in the perfect house. - It is a beautiful warm house
- Wendy (9/5): Awesome location with lovely homely vibe. - Fab location Just one dodgy floorboard that needs fixing.
- Caspian (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place to stay, will definitely be back Nothing
- Alan (10/5): Lovely old house with modern touches making it a cosy and comfortable home away from home. Will definitely stay here aga - Everything. Well thought out, with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and throughout the house. Spacious but also cosy and warm with heaters in every room. Indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit with plenty of firewood supplied. Plenty of comfortable seating inside and out.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (9/5): Perfect, cosy, cute cottage with the best fire ever. - The cottage was beautiful with lots of character and it was perfect for 6 people with so many facilities. It was spacious with lots of wood for the fire and lovely to have so many coffee capsules. We thought it was very generous box of cheese and goodies. No light above the BBQ and can’t turn gas off at source.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is lovely, very comfortable and well located. Nothing
- Alfio (10/5): Cosy cottage walking distance to town. - All the thoughtful touches and facilities that made it feel like home. Warm and cosy. Second bathroom. Carport. Lovely and quiet. Nice outdoor areas.
- Katie (9/5): Very comfortable and conveniently located. - Very comfortable and well appointed house. The heated bathrooms, oil heaters, internal fire place and outdoor fire-pit, were all so all much appreciated for our short 2 night and chilly stay Stanthorpe. It was conveniently located to base ourselves whilst exploring the Girraween and Bald Rock National Parks. There was nothing that we didn't like about the property.

The cottage was gorgeous and so much thought had gone into making the stay comfortable, including welcome goodies, lots of wood for the fire, rugs for your knees 😀, games etc. We could not have been happier and the hosts were wonderful with their communication. Would highly recommend.
