Guest Reviews
- Emma (10/5): - The house takes advantage of the most amazing views. Underfloor heating a bonus that made the house very comfy and warm. Rooms were all a generous size and house was comfortable for our group. Lots of amenities which were much appreciated. Sunrise and sunset were spectacular from the balcony and lots of wildlife around. We all enjoyed a wonderful weekend and the house makes a great base to discover the best that the Stanthorpe region has to offer Nothing
- Suanne (7/5): Beautiful stay, but difficult driveway and fridge off on arrival. - The property was beautifully presented and very well equipped, especially for cooking , everything we needed was on hand. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the heating kept the space cosy and warm throughout our stay. The views from the house were beautiful and made for a relaxing atmosphere. It was also greatly appreciated that early access was accommodated, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. It was a lovely place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time. The biggest issue during our stay was the driveway access. The terrain is extremely rough, with poor traction that made it difficult for both my vehicle (a new Mercedes) and my friend’s Mazda CX-5 to navigate safely. The steep and uneven surface caused significant scraping on the underneath of my car and made us feel uncomfortable attempting the drive more than once. As a result, I chose to park at a friend’s house nearby for the remainder of the weekend which also made it difficult packing four of us up in the one car to leave, and we decided not to leave the property at all, missing out on visiting local sites and businesses. I would strongly recommend making the challenging driveway conditions clear in the listing, and advising that only high-clearance or 4WD vehicles are suitable. Also I had made a special early trip to the property to drop off all of our cold items as we had travelled a few hours only to find the fridge turned off which was frustrating.
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic house, very well equipped kitchen. It would be better to have the fridge switched on before our arrival.
- Rosa (10/5): A fantastic off-grid holiday home for a big family. - I loved the location, the facilities, the wonderful assistance from the owners, particularly when we had a couple of minor glitches during our day. I was primarily looking for a dark sky location, with little to no light pollution, so that I could capture some beautiful Night Sky photos, which, weather permitting, I managed to do so. Overall, it was a fantastic place to spend a long weekend with my family. Nothing, it was an exceptionally well catered for premises. All of our holiday needs were met.
- Jimmy (9/5): Superb - Great location, spacious house, clean surroundings
- Glen (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Narelle (10/5): We enjoyed very much the location was great and a very comfortable house -
- Scott (10/5): Severnview Ballendean - Aaron and Bec have thought of everything down to the smallest detail. The house is beautiful and the view is spectacular. Nothing was a problem. Can't fault anything.
- Diana (8/5): very spacious home suitable for a group - spacious
well appointed
great heating
very clean
great instructions on everything
great walks definitely the road up to the house especially at night
lack of landscaping outside - not an inviting yard
large sofa has some backs that are broken.
- Chloe (8/5): Very good - The property had beautiful views and the house was stunning. Such a beautiful spot. The driveway was very steep and unsteady at points, if we didn’t take our bigger cars I’m not sure we would have gotten up the hill. The owners didn’t give us the right code so we couldn’t get into the house until we rang.
- Sam (10/5): Absolutely do it. So close to Girraween National Park. Peaceful and beautiful. I will be back. - Best view. The main room was heavenly. Games and movies. Huge size home. A couple of bottles of wine on arrival. I had brought a friend from the US and he loved it. My kids loved it. Everything you could need was there and labeled. Couldn’t find an oven tray. Might have missed it though.
- Kaylene (9/5): Definitely require 4WD, location was great close to wineries would be great on a Cold day!! -
- Erin (10/5): Amazing house with spectacular views - Severnview’s location is second to none. The driveway is a little tricky but worth it for the spectacular views. The house itself is very well equipped with everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable and the underfloor heating made the chilly mornings much easier. The perfect getaway close to wineries and Giraween National Park. Would highly recommend! I’d really struggle to find any constructive criticism for the house. The walk to the river was a little tricky to find but we found it in the end. Parts of the walk down were quite difficult with many fallen trees. But the river itself was worth the walk!
- Leah (10/5): This is the most beautiful house we have stayed in. The views are 100% the best. - Our accommodation was well about my expectations going on other locations we have stayed at. The thoughtfulness of our hosts in setting up the heating and organizing the rooms was above and beyond. I’m
Honestly having trouble answering this question.
