Guest Reviews
- Laura (9/5): Lovely location in a quiet area. Great for exploring the Otways. - Beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of busier towns. General store located right next door. Easy walk to nearby pub for dinner.
Deb kindly turned on the lights and heater ahead of our arrival which was really thoughtful. There was no freezer, only a small bar fridge.

Joli jardin
Emplacement perdu mais qui permet d etre dépaysé
Nous avons passé un super réveillon du nouvel an dans le bar de l hotel avec les gens du pays. Attention, pas de station service a moins de 25km et pas toujours ouverte...
- Brettargh (9/5): - The space was great bathroom and washing machine also excellent. Fridge is comparatively small, a bigger fridge would be good as people staying multiple nights will want to store drinks and meat etc.
- Janine (8/5): - Lovely homely feel and super clean Didn’t have a freezer but apart from that it was great!
- Amanda (10/5): 10/10 - Cozy country retreat with everything we needed! Such a gem of a find! Would highly recommend, check in was easy, great cafe next door. 3 minute walk to local pub/looking over vineyards and live acoustic music. Beautiful gardens, the accommodation was cottage style inviting! Highly recommend! Seriously, it was perfect for the price, the location, the amenities. I cannot say anything I didn’t like about the property for what I booked, vs what I got, it was better than online.
Just a perfect country retreat

- Simon (9/5): Fantastic little spot to spend a weekend exploring The Otways. - Cozy little house with great pvt garden and parking post at rear. Wonderful artwork and photography inside. Would change some of the lamps to a lower wattage globe.
- Kramersh (9/5): Pleasantly surprised - Meticulously clean property and loved the kitchen meals area. A little far from a range of places to eat and shop for supplies but adds to the charm of a country retreat.

- Maria (10/5): Haven in Gellibrand - The accommodation is spotlessly clean and nestled in a tranquil environment perfect for unwinding after exploring the Otway Ranges. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, providing a restful retreat after a day of adventure. Wi fi reception is good. Deb, the owner, provides excellent communication and has personalized the house with charming picture frames that she made. We will definitely come back. Gellibrand has weak TV receptions, but the owner provided DVD movies to watch during your stay and some board games as well.

- Sally (10/5): Great place to stay comfortable and had everything you needed - It was cozy and very comfortable Nothing
- Simon (8/5): Very good - Location was great, the General store has meals among lost of other things - the beef lasagna was fantastic. Umm the size of the fridge, and that there was no freezer and while we worked around that if we stayed for longer that would of become an issue as its otherwise completely self contained.
- K8 (10/5): Cute cottage in lovely location. - A very cute cottage, very well equipped and very clean. Comfortable beds and couch. The town was lovely, we were only there overnight but the pub was magnificent. Locals very friendly. There is nothing to do with the property. Only the road outside has a lot of big trucks, wasn't expecting that.
- Matthias (10/5): Beautiful and tranquil - Beautiful place! Absolutely nothing to mention here
- Jessica (9/5): Awesome - It was easy to get to a lot of places along the Great Ocean Road. No freezer!
- Claire (10/5): Brilliant base to explore to Otways - Quaint, cosy and very comfortable 2 bedroom place. Everything you need and more. Lovely little garden, free standing bath and we really appreciated the touches such as condiments, tea, coffee. Refreshing change from many less generous hosts around. Recommend bringing your Chromecast to enjoy all the streaming services you're used to. Great wifi. Decent pub meals up the road and we also enjoyed meals from Otways Motor Inn, Lavers Hill.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Character, loads of space, location N/A
- Honest_eric (10/5): Excellent in every way - Deb was very helpful and charming. The place is very large and has everything we needed including a good barbeque. It was clean and close to the main sightseeing attractions. We are on our 6th week of a Victoria trip and this is only 1 of 3 accommodations that have been excellent. Nothing
- Mike (9/5): perfect for the situation - 1 day en route to Anglesea -
- Lisa (8/5): A wonderful weekend in the beautiful Otway Ranges walking with my kids. - A quirky art filled space and so comfortable. The rain!

- Helen (10/5): Perfect little cottage for a relaxing stay in the beautiful Otways. Not far from many Otway sites. - The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for us. The owner was a delight to meet, informative and accommodating.
- Harinder (10/5): Home away from home - Lived everything. 2 days full of such happiness and a beautiful and pleasant feeling. You always tend to look for places close to the main attractions of the area, but the joys of living in the community, amidst the locals, away from the commercial hustle bustle was truly all revealing here. Would surely come back.
The host was great from the moment I engaged with the offer online. She is surely full of talent as the walla of each room said. Full recommendation for the reader here to experience it to believe it.

- Anna_loves_traveling (9/5): Superb - Had a wonderful stay here. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Having a general store nearby was convenient, and we enjoyed the lovely backyard. The heated blankets were a nice touch, and the collection of books and DVDs provided entertainment options. Debbie's communication was excellent and made the experience smooth. Would definitely consider staying again. It would have been wonderful to have a proper fridge with a freezing compartment.

- Julie (8/5): Great place for short stay exploring the Otways - Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Art on walls and decorative touches. Host thoughtfully had warmed the accommodation before we good there. Wifi was good connectivity. Make sure you see the Californian Redwoods within 30 mins of property--a magical experience The fridge is very small and has no freezer, this meant we could not use our cold pack for onward travel. Some of the dishes needed washing before use. Couch is more attractive to look at than comfortable
- Pella (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and spacious home in a picturesque and central location. Homely and very comfortable with beautiful artwork on the walls. Debb was really friendly and incredibly welcoming. Walking distance to the shop and pub. I would definitely recommend it. We are already making plans to come back as we had a wonderful weekend.
- Margaret (9/5): A comfortable and quirky cottage central to some amazing attractions. - The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable and in a great position. The electric blanket was a bonus as the weather turned cold. The fridge was very small and had no freezer. We were on the road and carry our food in cold bags with frozen ice blocks which we couldn’t freeze.
- Roger (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Trekker (9/5): Enjoyed this place, would stay again - Very spacious and welcoming; everthing catered for. Deb is a great host and communication was good. Plenty of artwork and reading material. Central location to the Otways. General store and gallery next door, pub down the road.

- Ruth (10/5): deb was the most accommodating hostess cheerful, provided lots of advice prior to our arrival and checked in on us to co - Such a lovely little location and extremely cosy and comfortable accommodation. Comfortable beds, fully serviced kitchen and a lovely big clawfoot bath to relaxing. Offstreet parking was a nice bonus. The park across the road provided a great activity for our two-year-old grandson and the general store also providing a small option to buy both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. I can’t omit the compulsory visit you should make to Deb’s art gallery at the front of your accommodation, lots to explore and purchase. Limited phone coverage to SOS calls only. However, Deb did advise us of this status prior to our arrival and that a Telstra phone booth is located across the road.
