Guest Reviews
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Aaron (6/5): Location - Nice little miners cottage, two bedroom.
Excellent location, very easy walk to main street, shops, bars and restaurants.
Double master shower with rainfall shower heads and hand held shower heads. Beds were combined singles that were not too comfy due to the gap between mattresses.
No Donna cover, instead top and bottom sheets.
House needs a deep clean for dust, cobwebs, spiders, etc.
Lounge furniture was very basic, and low, not great for a tall person such as myself.
- Lynette (8/5): Would come back - Good location walking to shop hotel and restaurant rooms were nice ensuite was very good welcoming wine and coffee etc thanks Had to park out front but lovely shade trees
- Alexander (1/5): We did not stay there. Property was in disaster condition. No services or support provided. Not even apology from proper - We booked this property from 25/01/2025 to 27/01/2025 , but we couldn’t stay there. We had to get another property from agency in Daylesford . Very disappointed with the property and people who were looking after it and provided service . Property had need left in filthy condition , with bloody Linwood bead , dirty towels in bathrooms , toilet bowl with shit on it , dirty fridge and so many more things. Support line useless . Very disappointed . Dirty, filthy inside. No support whatsoever from management . Wouldn’t recommend to book this property in the future
- Gregory (5/5): Passable - Cleaners could have done a better job after previous guests.
Had to put new batteries into the heater remote control but still could not get it to work, rang the provided number, no one returned my call.
Unable to connect to Netflix with the supplied instructions.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Rosie (3/5): Dirty house, unresponsive host. - Period house in a great location. The beds were warm. A lovely open fire. The house was dirty. I had to wash crockery and glasses before I could use them, there were crumbs on the chairs, the kitchen floor was sticky, there was old milk in the fridge and stains on the comforter. Rooms were filled with cobwebs and when I tried to contact the owner by email and sms about a plumbing issue, there was no reply. The streaming serving didn't work and the sheets for the next customer were unceremoniously dumped outside the door on the second last day, so we had to carry them in out of the rain. For the same price, I could have had a sofitel room. They had the audacity to sent automated emails hoping I liked my stay and reminding me to leave on time - still without acknowledging my earlier messages about issues.
- Kathryn (9/5): Very cosy with great character. - Both rooms had large comfy beds and their own ensuite. Great for sharing.
- Kim (10/5): Very relaxing and comfortable - Great location , 2 queen bedrooms with ensuites was great N/A
- Maria (8/5): We had a lovely time there - No toaster. The couch was not very comfortable
- Patti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leisa (7/5): Good - Lounge furniture
TV not working well
- Caryn (9/5): Wonderful comfortable little cottage in the heart of Daylesford We will definitely return - Gorgeous little cottage Well equipped So clean and comfortable Fabulous location Easy walk to the main St ( gorgeous stores and eateries) and the lake and botanic gardens We loved our stay at Dawns It was a wonderful stay Not much to dislike about Dawns Perhaps garden could have had some attention
- Terry (8/5): We enjoyed our stay very much. House was very cosy and warm and in a good location. -
- Joey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pauline (5/5): Daylesford was gorgeous….shame about the accommodation - Bit disappointment from the outside look of the house. Then when we entered the place had not been cleaned from the previous guests. We had been advised we couldn’t access accommodation until 3 so we took a quick tour of the area. Daylesford itself is gorgeous….even though it was quite cold. So we get into our accommodation and see it had not been cleaned. Rang number given to us and the lady organised cleaners to do quickly ….45 minutes later all was done. Quick look around and if it had been presented this way in first place all would have been good. Upon closer inspection there was mould behind bathroom door.cracked window in other bathroom and broken window in back verandah section. And front door didn’t close properly unless you slammed it shut a few times.
Put a bit of a downer on the time away but Daylesford made up for it.
Would I go back…no See above

- Felicity (9/5): A beautiful heritage home close to the town. - Thoughtful extras like heated blankets and a bottle of wine! Smallish areas.
- Gianna (4/5): ok - proximity to town centre small , photos deceiving , old , broken front security door , poor security , no driveway parking , no street lighting
