• Roelof (8/5): Lovely stay in the beautiful Sea Shack - The location is stunning with beautiful views over the bay. The appartment is very spacious and well kitted out. Very well kept and clean Ceiling fans in he rooms to cool you down a bit. The kitchen and equipment was a bit dated. The beds were very worn (definitely recommend a replacement of the matrasses.) Be aware there is no aircon.

• Charlotte (8/5): Excellent views in great location at Seal Rocks - Great location at Seal Rocks, with the dining room looking out to stunning views of Sugarloaf Bay. Walkable to the beach and lighthouse. Very quiet at night with excellent view of the stars. Good value for money, we paid $1000 for 2 nights, 4 people. Kitchen had everything we needed and the recommended restaurants up towards Pacific Palms /Blueys were great. The driveway is very steep and in the rain impossible without a 4WD. Recommend parking further along Kinka Rd in the beach parking area. Exterior lights on the house would be useful arriving late at night, very dark and we needed to use torches to find the right stairway and the lockbox.

The main agent dodged calling, requests w - The only positive thing about this rental is the View that was great. BUT it would have been even better if windows were clean. Unacceptable poor standards This property falls EXTREMELY short when you compare the photos online that advertise the place, to what you get. Rat faeces, broken screens fallen off windows, dirty cutting boards, pots, utensils and drawers in the kitchen. Half the utensils did not work, can opener, egg beater, lights faulty, deck and stairs filthy and full of leaves, grass and garden overgrown and poorly maintained, pillows were old, flat and just gross! Crockery was chipped and should have been cleared out. Battled to find the property, it just wasted our time, and we ended up having to ask a garden lady working down the road. Junk lying all around the property, no shampoo or conditioner, fly screens full of holes and worn. The windows and louvres need a serious clean throughout. The fridge had no ice trays, everything thats metal is old and so badly rusted, including the dishwasher, light fittings and fridge. This was as bad inside with no ice making option. The doona covers felt grubby as though they only replace the sheets. Called the rental agents at Pacific palms to sort garden out as soon as we checked in. Told someone would come the Friday. No action until the Monday when we were checking out. Puzzles were old, broken pieces and missing pieces. My husband got locked in the top bathroom and it was quite stressful not finding a screwdriver or tool to get him out. Nearly stood on a tiger snake in the grass by the house. Couches could do with a really good deep clean. The owners should be pulling this unit off listings to do a really good deep clean and refurb. I hate paying a lot for a place that is not clean, especially when you know there are rats and the drawers and kitchen stuff is greasy, dirty, and not checked.

• Andrea (8/5): Very relaxing & amazing whale watching from the living room window! - Great location, directly across the road from the beach. Property was clean, well maintained & equipped. Wonderful ocean views. Master bed is very low but comfy. Nice bathrooms. Incredible whale watching from the living room window. Property is very hard to find, as there is no street number visible from the road. It would be impossible to find at night. Instructions to find the lock box were confusing, as it wasn't clear that we needed to go up the LEFT rather than the right hand side staircase. This needs to be clearer in the instructions. The property is on four levels with lots of stairs. Both bathrooms are located one flight up from the bedrooms. There is a thick, large power cable that runs right across the beautiful view from the living room. Nothing the owners can do but it's good to be aware of this. Master bed is comfy but very low, removing the chance to enjoy the ocean views.

• Jo (6/5): Pleasant - The location was great and the view was fantastic. The fact that $1000 was frozen on my credit card well after leaving the property. Beware of this rather large security deposit as they won't release it for 5 to 7 days after you leave the property. The roof leaked in the kitchen due to rain. There is mould on the ceiling in the loungeroom and upper windows. Pots and pans were dirty and needed cleaning before use.

• Margaret (7/5): Interesting place to visit but won't come back. - Nice views. Did have internet despite booking agent saying it did not. Needs handrail on steps up to property front door. Need to trim vegetation next to driveway. $1000 bond non-returnable for 7-10 days is just unacceptable. Very hard to find property number from street - up a hill, hidden behind bushes. Not warned that driveway is VERY steep with no way to turn around easily. Also had to back down. Not warned about multiple stairs up to the property and within the property. Bottom step outside is also very high if you have back problems.
