• Joshua (4/5): Clean apartment in local village but communication with host made for an unpleasant stay - The accommodation was clean and as described. The kitchen had the essentials for preparing food, and there is a washing machine (but you have to pay to use it). The location is a small local village with a few shops that have the bare essentials, but you'll need to go into Pogradec for more options. The village itself is great, mostly peaceful and full of friendly locals, and it's a short walk (5 mins) to the lake where you can swim. There were a few issues during our stay that I feel inclined to mention. We awoke one morning to find there was no water from 7 am. We informed the host, who told us it was because our toilet had been left running from 6 am that morning. We assured them we had used the toilet as usual and that we hadn't woken to use the toilet until 7 am. Our host told us we had to pay to have the water tank refilled. This isn't something we've encountered before, and we didn't feel comfortable paying a fine for something we had no part in. This discussion with our host took place in the apartment we were staying in, and our host's manner fluctuated between talking and becoming vexed. I had an online meeting scheduled, and the host refused to leave despite my saying I needed to attend the meeting and would have to continue this discussion later. I eventually had to move into the bedroom to commence my meeting in private. The property had no running water until 6 pm, 11 hours in total. The tensions seemed to subside as we spoke with the host later that evening, with no mention of the matter. The checkout time is listed as up to 12 pm, our host asked the day before what time we would check out and agreed on 10 am. However, in the morning at 9:15 am, the host said she had an appointment and hurried us out of the apartment. We were still packing, but cleared out quickly to accommodate this new request. The apartment is on the ground floor overlooking the garden. There is no air con, and when it's warm, there is a need to have the windows open, especially at night. However, this can feel like there isn't much privacy when you're in bed or in the apartment, as there aren't sufficient blinds. We hung a light item on a wardrobe door, which seemed to be an issue when the host saw it. We, of course, took this down when our host seemed displeased with it being hung there as she took photos of it.

• Nerea (10/5): Grear place in lake Ohrid - This place is the best, good value for money!! We (backpacker couple) stayed two night during our road trip through Albania and we enjoyed our time there. The accommodation has a lot of space, big bedroom with confortable bed and multiple blankets (it can get cold at night). Functional kitchen with all the necessary utensils. Toilet with hot shower, soap, toilet paper and towels included. The owners are very friendly, helpful and willing to help. They have a lot of space to park the car and a nice garden in front of the house. The toilet doesn’t have a proper shower itself so everything gets wet (the shower head is part of the sink) but the drainage works well and the water drains away quickly.
• Fabiana (10/5): Beautiful garden house with incredible hosts - Our gardenhouse experience was fantastic. We had no idea where we were going but wanted to stay out of the city in the Ohrid lake area and what a beautiful surprise! The house is perfectly equipped, well mantained, and has a wonderful garden. Our hosts treated us like family! They made us traditional food at the garden grill and even took us for a wonderful hike to the mountains. Recommended 100/10, we will definitely come back to stay again. Thank you both!

• Marcel (8/5): Very good - Very nice host that's very helpful. Private parking and a beautiful garden. The house is spacious but has an uneven floor that can be a bit tricky. The shower is very very basic, but yes it works and it is hot. There is no hot water in the kitchen but off course you can get it in the bathroom. The heating will be improved the owner promised. But it was good enough for us. We had a nice stay

• Sarah (1/5): Dissapointing - The apartment has everything you need. The neighbours were friendly. The area is beautiful. After 5 years of travelling and using booking.com this is my first negative review and bad experience. I am suprised to have experineced this after reading nice comments about the house. - The host came into our room screaming, after throwing our belongings on the floor when we were out. Only because we hung them on the door of the wardrobe. As the wardrobe was full of the hosts belongings. - The host then continued shouting and entered our bedroom I believe because there was a towel on the floor. - Your room is 'monitered' which means the host enters your room while you are not in. I was not made aware of this until 3 days in and it did not feel right. - Only 1 out of 4 showers I tried to take were hot. - I would recommend that if you are staying here in winter months, it must be two of you, as you are required to lift a heavy 15kg+ oil heater from room to room. Me and my partner found this difficult despite us both being strong and healthy. - Upon leaving the host stood at our door 40 minutes before check-out rudely asking us to hurry up. - The host has continually harrased and threatened me over whatsapp since I have left. Overall me and my partner feel disprespected and harssed. After we were shouted at, we could never feel comfortable and relax. It is a shame that our break was spoilt as the surrounding area is really beautiuful.
• Silvia (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay! The accommodation is basic but has all you need. Ideal to escape the heat: the room is on the ground floor and is very pleasantly cool. The garden is the best feature. Perfect to relax, with a hammock, deck chairs and a big table where you can eat. Our kid (4YO) loved playing here, safely and in the shadow. The hosts only speak Albanian but communication runs smoothly with a translation app. They offered amazing products from the garden, and so much more. They are incredibly attentive and helpful. Location is not right at the lakeside but you can reach both Lin and Pogradec easily by car (we didn’t have difficulties finding parking even though it was high season) and also walk to the beautiful beach of the camping nearby. A very good restaurant is also at walking distance. We appreciated being in this village not yet transformed by tourism. Impossible to complain, especially considering the fair price!
