• Gina (7/5): The location was peaceful, kitchen well stocked, house comfortable, tame donkeys and horses a bonus - The location and setting was lovely, very peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was comfortable, if dated, taking into account the price when compared with other properties. The commitment of the host to rescuing and rehoming donkeys and horses was a positive and made the cost worthwhile. We would have expected shower gel/shower wash in the shower and laundry powder in the laundry. These would be standard provisions for a fully furnished house. The instructions from the host seemed a bit over the top - asking paying guests to sweep floors before leaving (and before the cleaner arrived!) seemed a bit over the top.

• Sorita (10/5): Take lots of carrots for the horses and donkeys. - Wonderful farm stay surrounded by animals. Great location for access to the sights and attractions in Flinders Chase park. Ten minutes to beautiful Vivonne Bay. Great house for a group. Very peaceful atmosphere. Great hospitality from the owners. We had to leave!

• Louie (10/5): Exceptional - The host, Yaeda, is always in constant communication. Location is excellent for the must-see places in KI. The place is a complete getaway from the busy city life! We got to experience the night sky!
• Robin (9/5): Amazing experience in the middle of nowhere, just loved the place. - We loved the location of the home. It felt like a home away from home. The facilities were good with the essentials provided. Enough space for a group of 13 (our group) that had 6 kids. Kids could run around the house freely, which was awesome. Some farm animals in sight, great for the kids. Beds/mattresses could have been better. Running multiple machines such as hot plates, dryer, coffee machine at the same time resulted in power circuit tripping (no effect on the lights though).

• Nikhil (9/5): We had a pleasant stay at Heartland Hideaway, will be back here if I travel again with big group. - It was really good to stay at the farmhouse. Lovely animals, great kitchen, ample toilet and bath facilities. Very quiet and peaceful. Property is easy to find and easy located in the middle of KI. Hot water facility could be improved, when we all started taking showers simultaneously it wouldn't take the load and then some had to shower in luke warm cold water.
• Sophia (6/5): Pleasant - Animals on the farmland Tired facilities it is a old Farm house so visitors Should lower expectation No WiFi and poor Network No Salt Cooking oil is not enough to cook one breakfast for a group of us. Due to its remote location very hard to buy groceries such as cooking oil couldn't find at the local general store. Ended up eating boiled meals

• Seo (10/5): A beautiful hideaway - We were absolutely overwhelmed by the surrounding nature. The huge capacity of the well maintained house was a delightful plus. The heating system and some toilets were renovated and functioning well. A fully equipped kitchen was so handy but it would have been nicer if there were scissors. (add seasonings as well when you do groceries; they provide salt and pepper) They have a new washing machine and a drier (you need to bring laundry detergent), mini games for kids. The little ponies and donkeys outside were so friendly. It was a really nice holiday and I highly recommend this place to anyone who is bringing the family with.
