• Lorraine (9/5): We all had a wonderful week in a lovely comfortable, well supplied and well-located home. - Location perfect for everything we needed and wanted to do. We enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the great view. Very relaxing. Not much but if I wanted to nitpick some teaspoons in the kitchen would have been nice.

• Rob Megginson (4/5): AVOID - Cleanliness and lack of any lamps for lighting extremely poor. Good location and spacious - Host provided code on time The cleanliness of the property was very poor. Cigarette ash, sand, a dead cockroach and ice cream stick on the patio. Spiders web on more than 1 inside window plus children's finger marks on many windows. Dirty cutlery draw and rusty kitchen door hinges with significant rust residue in the cupboard. Fizzy drink spills on lounge floor and kitchen. All windows outside look like they had not been cleaned for months. All issues reported immediately to host who apologised and promised to refund $200, sadly this was not honoured, despite allowing 3 weeks for this to be refunded.
• Tim (8/5): A spacious home in a quiet lovely location with many facilities. - It was a great location facing west right on the lake front. The size of the house and the space in it suited the seven of us (1 unrelated female sailor and 6 male sailors for a regatta). The covered deck with a large table and a good BBQ was perfect for breakfasts and our dinners. The bedding with doonas was too hot for the temperatures with no option of blankets etc. There was a shortage of crockery and glassware for our party of 7. It was difficult to open the sliding windows and some of the Venetian blinds were broken. The heating in the hot tub wasn't working but we decided this was done deliberately to save on electricity cost?

• Ceri (9/5): Relaxing retreat - They property was stunning, very clean and very spacious!! The only negative was they could use a few more kitchen supplies, as we booked for 8 people and there was only 6 large plates and 4 cups. But other than that the place is fantastic

• Vanessa (8/5): Very good - We loved the location and there was lots of space for a large family. We loved the jacuzzi and the view. The back deck was where we spent most of our time. It was easy to get to anywhere on Lake Macquarie with a car. Jeff was a great host and kept in contact the whole stay. The kitchen wasn't well equipped, we had to buy teaspoons, plates and tea towels. We also brought our own coffee machine as there was only a kettle. I wish there were spare bath bath towels and extra blankets provided as the air conditioning got cold in some rooms. There is no fishing from the dock (too shallow), which we didn't know until we got there with all our fishing gear.
