• Shirley (10/5): Escape to the country! - A beautiful, well-equipped cottage in the country. Convenient parking and a bus stop on the road. Beautiful walks. It is an easy drive to Gent and Burghes.
• Valerie (8/5): - We loved the spaciousness of the property and the different seating areas. We found it to be very clean, comfortable and stylish. The kitchen was well equipped and had its own seating area overlooking the garden. We liked having the two bathrooms and separate toilets and the upstairs rain head shower was great. The fan in the master bedroom was also appreciated as the weather was hot for a few nights of our stay. We also loved the garden and the garden table with its parasol, chairs and sun loungers. Close to the property were some great walks along to the river and excellent running or cycling routes. Communication with the host before our stay was excellent .. prompt responses and very helpful. All of my following comments are mentioned in other reviews - There was extremely poor water flow from the toilet wash basin and bathroom wash basins. The front door was very difficult to lock. It really needs attention. The lighting in the lounge and downstairs bathroom was very dim, only sufficient to watch TV or listen to music.

• Amarni (9/5): Amazing stay we would go back right now! - I stayed at Scheldewegel Vakantiehuis for 4 days with my 3 kids and partner and we had a great time We loved the house itself as well as the outside area We loved the nordic style of the interior of the house which is fully furbished and very well equipped We have not met the host but exchange messages and they have been very kind Would go back again straight away if we could Nothing - perhaps add some blankets for watching the TV on the sofa
