- Helen (10/5): Loved it! Great location for exploring. 2mins walk to the beach - Beautiful, comfortable cottage feel. Comfy beds. Great view and very relaxing
- Robert (7/5): -
- Heather (10/5): Best short stay we had for a long time - Everything this property is amazing Nothing
- Kerry (9/5): We wish we could have stayed longer at this idyllic location, highly recommend. - Beautiful view
Location
Wood fire
Everything we needed
Close to Port Arthur No major issues.
When we did lose power. Sam answered our call straight away and found us another home to shower in. Didn’t need to take up offer as power came back on. She phoned back to advise there had been a power outage in area which has been fixed.
- Kane D (10/5): Bush retreat with stunning view - Private property with a gorgeous view. Plenty of firewood for use of the fire heater. Beautiful decor and extremely comfortable bed. No oven which may be a small issue if staying for longer periods.
- Karen (10/5): Brilliant place!! - The view was brilliant. The property had everything we needed. The host was lovely. The bed was so comfy - felt like we were at home!! The fire was so good - didn’t want to leave! Would definitely stay there again. Nothing.
- Mary-Ann (9/5): Happy with our stay, enjoyed its quirkiness and vibe. - Great ambience, an easy drive to all the sights. Loved the wood heater and the kookaburras saying goodnight. Saw the Aurora Australis on our last night. Nothing in particular. Certainly had no issues with the steep driveway mentioned by other reviewers. There was a turnout half way up the driveway which meant you only had to reverse up the second half of it which was quite easy.

- Debbie (10/5): was absolutely wonderfull - we absolutely loved the accommodation, very comfortable, the beds where so comfortable, the lay out was amazing and styled beautifully nothing

- Jaime Lee (5/5): Grateful for the stay but would stay elsewhere next time - Convenient location, quirky decor, nice views and fire place. Either a dog or cat usually lives there or had stayed there. The lounge was covered in white animal fur so ended up on our clothes. My kids have eczema that flares up around animals and I get allergies so probably wouldn’t book again. Also had a small fire going out the front of the property which we were alarmed about and not informed of. Raised it with the property team and they were aware. Would have been nice to have been advised prior. Communications could have been better too.
- Ceridwen (9/5): Excellent place for a weekend away with the family - we'd definitely come again! - Lovely location, view, decor, comfortable beds and everything we needed One minor point - the oven is very small so it was difficult for us to cook the food that we brought
- Richard (9/5): Very cosy and had everything we needed - Couldn't really find any faults except when it rained there was loud banging on the roof which kept me awake. Beds were really comfortable. Log fire was excellent. Banging on the roof when it rained. There's a bad leak from the shower that will cause some pretty bad rot in the floor if it's not addressed. This didn't affect us, but it will affect the property.
- zhong (9/5): good - Fully equipped and very comfortable A big spider was found in the room.
- De'Arne (9/5): Boho Cottage a Bush Retreat - The eclectic look and feel is relaxed, comfortable and peaceful. It's a perfect spot for a romantic getaway, or like us a family weekend away. It's spacious accommodating 6 people comfortably. Beautiful bush setting with a lovely outdoor area with a fire pit and bench seat. The home boasts an outdoor shower (as there is an accessible beach a short walk from the property. It has a separate bathroom from the toilet, perfect for our family of 6!! Plenty of towels, face washers and a washing machine if required after a day at the beach and a clothes line that would capture the wind to fluff your towels and dry your clothes perfectly.
The three bedrooms are comfortable and cosy providing comfortable beds to get the rest you need.
The fireplace is situated in the middle of the back wall and heats the home beautifully 😍 all necessities are provided to heat the home.
Plenty of parking areas.
For us, we were specifically looking for somewhere that was a proximity to Port Arthur. This property met that need and is about a 12-minute drive up the road. So if like us, you're planning a ghost tour, this property is close enough that fatigue (after our 4-hour drive) wasn't an issue. There really wasn't anything that I didn't like, but I'll jot down some things that may assist you in making the right decision based on your needs.
The home is set back up a long steep driveway.
There is a flat parking area halfway up the drive positioned at the front of the home.
To access the front, there are many stairs to take you to the deck. (Absolutely amazing on the deck with a hammock chair to help you shrug off all the pressures of life and simply tune into the melodic sound of nature that is wrapping you in its warm embrace)
You cannot access the back of the residence via vehicle so there is an incline if parking towards the back of the property (this is also the access point on arrival).
Due to the structural plan of the home, it is not a place I'd recommend if you require disability access. The entirety of the space would not accommodate mobility aids (as an example.
The kitchen does not have an oven per se but it does give you a convection microwave and this is easy to use and convert if needing an oven to bake a meal. We used this and had no issue baking garlic bread.
Heating is only the fireplace and does not provide an alternative method. (This may affect some people, but personally, we loved the fireplace).
- Jane (10/5): Happy holiday home! - Super comfy beds, great shower! Bright and light, big windows with nice view thru trees over the bay. Great wood heater with wood supplied. - shower base a little slippery.
- Tania (9/5): Lovingly curated beach house, perfect base for exploring the dramatic Tasman Peninsula. We really enjoyed our stay! - The house was sweet and homely and had lots of personal touches which made us feel instantly at home and comfortable. We were delighted by the warm fire that had been lit before our arrival.
Comfortable beds.
Great views.
Close to the beach. House was very cold overnight when the fire went out.
- Luke (10/5): -
- Heather (8/5): Great views with stylish retro vibe - Great retro styling , super comfortable bed and linens . Fabulous view at sunset great deck aspect with lots of seating. Everything one needed provided for in kitchen. Clean and welcoming. Close to beach for walks . Appreciate being dog friendly… thank you There was no alternative heating other than making up a wood burner and continuing to attend it ….which meant we were quite cold during our stay . No electric blanket either …would have appreciated one . A drainage problem down the front lawn and rear needs to be rectified by owners as it’s very smelly probably coming from the grey water . Unfortunately our first impression was that of seeping sludgy lawn .
- Belinda (10/5): Happy getaway - The views from the living area are amazing and the fireplace was so cosy Couldn't fault the place
- Spain (9/5): Superb -
- Kok (3/5): No water supply from the rain water tank on arrival!! - Location The house ran out of water from its rain water tank on the first afternoon of our arrival. Afterva lot of emails and text messages, we were to wait until afternoon of the second day before the water supplier would send us water. We had no water to flush toilet, could not shower after hike on the first day and had to rent shower facilities at a nearby caravan park on the second day. When we asked to cancel the second and third day of our stay, the property manager refused. We'd rather stay in the clean and we'll equipped caravan park nearby than continue our stay there. Besides, the info in Booking.com about the property is not correct - it does not have dryer. Very disappointed stay. Will avoid any property that's managed by this company.
- Margaret (9/5): Boho Cottage White Beach - Boho Cottage is a delightful.cottage overlooking White Beach and we immediately felt at home. It is.cosily decorated and has a great fire. The area is beautiful and it is very close to Port Arthur and lots of other attractions. Bonus wood fired.pizza van just across the road on Friday nights which was delicious. Wished we could have stayed longer
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Mette (7/5): Good - Beautiful location and lovely views. Comfortable and cosy. The place felt over cluttered and tricky to navigate because of this. The ‘instruction booklet’ was not correct for our particular cottage and needs updating. We never got the internet or TV working. No oven, only a microwave, no instructions for how to use this.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - It was comfortable and the location was great. Everything you needed was there It could've been a bit cleaner like there was some mould in the shower and grit under the mats. I thought there was too many knick knacks that didn't need to be there but we didn't have any children there so I guess it was fine
- Christopher (8/5): Trip on Tasman Is cruise wonderful - Quiet holiday location Lack of dinner options
- Sharon (7/5): Value for money - Clean and tidy Took forever to get the fire going
- Vikkigj (10/5): Amazing place to relax and enjoy the area. Would stay at this place again. - Love the house. Very relaxing and comfortable. Love the deco as well. None!
- Nicky (10/5): Great cosy stay with a welcoming atmosphere and a great vibe - Amazing gem of a property! We had a wonderful and cosy stay.
- Jenny (8/5): Very good - View No dryer
- Daniel (9/5): Excellent feel and atmosphere - The location, layout and laid back atmosphere. The grounds could do with bit of a tidy.
- Gregory (9/5): Superb -
- Anita (10/5): Lovely and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location - Great location, well equipped kitchen, charming cottage with attention to detail Nothing we did not like
- Rohit (9/5): Superb -
- Maggie (10/5): Excellent accommodation with great water views - Very comfortable and cosy cottage with generous supplies of basic items - coffee pods, tea, sugar, oil, etc and wood for the fire. Lovely views of bay and sunset and easy walking distance to beach. It was a great place to stay for our family catch-up. Highly recommend.
- Rory (10/5): Very nice place - Fantastic location. Electric kettle was not working....a minor thing!
- Charnee (10/5): perfect little stay! - very homely it was great!
